Company Review
We noted that the website seems to be based in a country which is considered a high risk. The International Banking Federation has published a list of countries which it sees as having an increased risk for fraud and corruption. If a website is based in such a country we may reduce its review score if it shows other risk attributes as well (for example the product category).Webshop Review
It is quite common that websites share their internet infrastructure (server CPU power, disc space and Internet access) with other websites. This is what hp.com is doing as well. For smaller websites this is very logical as they do not need all the infrastructure all the time. From a larger brand or high traffic website it is expected that they have their own infrastructure.
We upped our review of the website as it has been given a high ranking by Alexa. Alexa ranks websites based on popularity (how many people are visiting the website every month) and listings (how many other websites link to the site because they consider it valuable).
A significant number of positive reviews for hp.com were found on other consumer feedback websites like Resellerrating, Trustpilot and Sitejabber. The website seems to be performing well. We therefor increased our rating of this website.
The website is using internet services from 5 countries. A normal website needs several technical services such as a web server, DNS, email server, firewall, etcetera. Smaller companies by all these services often from one company. Larger websites and corporates hire these services from multiple organizations, often spread across multiple countries.Technical Review
hp.com is not performing well in our speed test. We test the speed of websites as it is an indicator of the professionalism of the company. Most companies take care that their website speed is at least average or even high as otherwise visitors may leave the website. In this case the website speed was lower than average. This could be a temporary setback but may also imply a website which is not maintained well. We therefor reduced the trust score slightly.
Websites need several internet services in order to operate. Examples are a firewall, DNS server, email server and, of course, web server. Each of these is based in a specific country. In this case we discovered that at least one service is located in a high risk profile country according to the International Banking Federation. Meaning the country has a high level of corruption and fraud.

Technical information about hp.com
Really awful
Really awful. I had purchased 3 laptops and all the cables caught fire. My carpets and upholstery are ruined. I informed them and they never got back to me. In the industry they say HP stand for Horrible Product. I wholly endorse this statement. Thier laptops are slow, they have never sorted out the Ralink network adapters. Sorry but I will never buy your goods again!

bought an hp laptop
bought an hp laptop. Had no idea about windows s mode. Function keys were multimedia keys and s mode deleted my software. I disabled s mode and changed the function keys in the bios and reinstalled my software. It was deleted anyway. I called tech support and after hours of wasted time referred me to a 3rd party support. I refused and asked them to give me a different version of windows, they referred me to microsoft who referred me back to HP. After all that wasted time I returned the computer to bestbuy who claimed to never have heard of s mode. What a nighmare.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE
Many people quite myself aren't huge customer service fans but in most cases, the representatives are very patient and helpful. I just spent an hour I'll never get back calling HP Customer Service to get a refund on the expedite shipping delivery cost. I ordered a hinge cap for my laptop on the 20th of July and it was supposed to get here 1-2 business days so it would be the July 23rd at the latest. It's now the 29th and I'm calling to see what the problem is and it hasn't even been shipped yet... The worst part is they kept transferring me to the "correct department" because their's couldn't help me. I have spoken to about 6-7 departments and none of them could help me. The last guy I talked to said he was going to transfer me to SmartFriend Services and that was the first department I spoke to!!!! A joke... I wish I could give no stars.
HP Laptop broke twice within guarantee again just outside
My family have 3 HP laptops and a printer because I believed they were quality products. 2 of the laptops have developed faults. Just outside guarantee and 1 went faulty twice within guarantee period and then a third time just a few weeks outside. I was quoted £240 to fix. I asked for a managers callback. Never came. I filled in online complaint. No response. I will never buy another HP product. I would advise you not to also! You’ll regret it if you do.

This is hard to write.
HP's recent products have been piles of rubbish. Their laptops die so easily, and don't get me started about their printers... although I just so happen to own one because it was cheap and wireless (and came with Instant Ink, the only good thing).
However, their OLDER products from the early and late 2000s happen to not be too bad. I use an xw4600 Workstation as a server right now, and that's been quite kind to me. Sure, it's getting replaced by a ProLiant ML110 G6, but that's also proper server hardware.
They still can't beat Dell in the enterprise category, but they do a heck of a good job as an alternative for their gear.

My hp laptop crashed several times a day, so I approached hp customer service.
The staff was extremely patient, he worked about one whole hour on the issue, reorganized my laptop, deleted unnecessary files and programs and called me back twice asking how the laptop was running.
I am really impressed by their service and am highly satisfied with the result.

Rebooting issue with HP Spectre x360 Convertible
Using HP Spectre x360 Convertible, 13" for about 11 months now. Here are the Pros & Cons from my experience:
PROS:
--- Touch screen capability, with sensitive touch pressure. I was able to perform hand lettering designs without any complains on this computer.
--- It's sleek, light and beautiful. Aesthetically, it's very pleasing to the eyes, more so than Apple's notebook series imo. 360 turning helps I letter, but mostly I'm just happy I can push the lid flat against the table.
--- Bang & Olufsen surround sound effect. Need I say more?
CONS:
=== This is the biggest reason why HP loses my trust and I won't get another HP notebook. I hibernate all my laptops often, for almost 10 years without any issue rebooting. Until this HP. When I want to reboot after hibernating, 9/10 times the laptop will crash and leave me with a black screen. I will then have to restart the laptop (long press the power button).
Googling this issue: it looks like I'm not the only one facing this issue with HP. Hp seems to have rebooting/ hibernating issue with their laptops since 2012, as far as I can find. It's quite frustrating having to reopen files and recalling where I was in the middle of a document.
My laptop is virus free. I've even tried hibernating the laptop without any apps open. The laptop crashes regardless. There have been a few times where it successfully reboot even though there's Photoshop, Chrome, PDF files running simultaneously. But most of the time, hibernating it only causes it to crash later. So, it's unlikely the apps, but more so the hardware/software problems with HP.
Will I ever use HP again? Maybe, if the price point AND the laptop are attractive.
=== Also, I've never encountered a laptop that forces you to update almost every 2 weeks. Not sure if this is Windows being an a**or HP. It's impossible to ignore the updates OR reschedule it. The rescheduling feature is a joke imo because regardless the dates and time set, the laptop just reboots itself.
And updates would have been fine. I can wait 20-30mins. But most of the time, my apps encounter problems after updates. Largely with Photoshop and Mircrosoft apps (eg. Excel losing the right-click capability, editing features in Word got removed/ moved - I am still figuring out). I call these updates laptop rapes.
These issues don't justify the price I paid really. I should have got a Surface but I thought this was a fine-looking laptop compared to Surface.

If you want a laptop that constantly crashes, is incapable of connecting to the internet for longer than five minutes(other devices in my house can manage this so its not the broadband provider) then buy a laptop from Hewlett Packard.
Their customer service is non existent, I've these problems for nearly a year now and it has not improved ,they make Lenovo look good and that is really saying something. Unfortunately it is not possible to give minus ratings if it was it would be a minus five
