    Poor customer services

    Poor customer services. They don't know what Customer Success is about.

    I recently signed up for a trial and after using it decided to go ahead with Monthly plan. However, the chat support told me that Premium is only available on Yearly billing which is almost $800.

    Doesn't make any sense in a highly competitive market.

    Just didn't like the TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT tone of the chat support.

    Cancelling my subscription now. and moving to SlideDog of Vyond

    Prezi Classic was great. Prezi Next not so much

    Prezi used to be a great alternative to PowerPoint. You had complete freedom to create a presentation on an infinitely zooming canvas and were largely unconstrained in what you could come up with.

    Then they released a competely re-written version called Prezi Next, grandfathering the old version to Prezi Classic. If you start using Prezi now you will use Prezi Next.

    Prezi Next is a huge step backwards if you want creative freedom. Basic functionality (like grouping objects so they can be moved/zoomed together) has been removed, and the whole experience is more templated/constrained.

    Prezi Classic felt like being given a canvas and easel, Prezi Next feels like colour-by-numbers.

    Prezi Classic 5/5/. Prezi Next 3/5. I've gone back to PowerPoint.

    Will Not Help You Unless You Upgrade

    Just started using Prezi for a school project and I am already disappointed. The slideshow I was working on will not load so I went to the help page to try to contact the company to get some help. I am not allowed to contact them unless I upgrade to the next level. If you want to communicate with them through online chat you need to have a plus membership and if need to talk to a person on the phone you must upgrade to a premium license or above. This is horrendous service and they should help all their users regardless of level of membership. I recommend staying away from this company and finding an alternative provider.

    I advise that everyone stays away from prezi.
    I signed up for prezi under advice from my University, started the standard free trial, where it states they will charge you £7 per month, figured I'd keep it as I had a few more presentation coming up.
    They have just taken £100 from my account.

    Disgusting service.

    It definitely takes some getting used…

    It definitely takes some getting used to coming out of a lifetime of Powerpoint slideshows and posterboard presentations. But once you get the hang of it, it has a great, sleek look to it. It also for more in depth discussion that flows naturally in conversation.

    Great idea ruined by incompetence

    Prezi is a great idea ruined by incompetence. The promise of slick, zooming presentations is very alluring. However, the software is very poorly developed, offers very basic functionality and omits even the most basic functions - like cropping an image. It's such a disappointment.

    A nightmare to customize

    It really happened: A presentation tool that made me LOVE PowerPoint.....
    If you can live with the few templates available and just want to use them exactly the way they were intended Prezi is probably fine.
    BUT: If you want to customize a presentation its a nightmare.
    The documentation is really really bad.
    You cant control your font size, you cant control placement and object sizes (no grid - no rulers) so when you think you have a nice presentation on you 17" laptop and blow it up on a projector it turns out to be a mess.
    If you think animations is difficult in PPT than try Prezi.....
    As a PLUS subscriber you are entitled to on-line chat support. A service I found of very little use.

    Don't do the trail of Prezi!!!

    I started a trial with Prezi and starting using their tools. I found it difficult to customize and very time consuming. My card was billed without an email reminder as stated and the customer service team will not issue a credit.
    Another very expensive subscription that does not care about it's customers.

    I've been using PREZI since 2010...

    I've been using the original PREZI since 2010 and PREZI NEXT for a few years. I like to use both the original and the "NEXT" version - thankfully you have access to both.

    PREZI original is great for brainstorming and developing ideas. It's very intuitive. [To me] it offers more FREEDOM than PREZI NEXT to develop very creative ideas and presentations. No other software offers this kind of freedom. The zoomable canvas is pretty special and allows you to "peel back the layers" of your ideas or reveal or not reveal more layers of information in meetings. I also find it useful to collaborate with others and you can allow others permission to view or edit your canvas. Personally I like to keep all presentations and ides "private".

    PREZI NEXT is more designed for PRESENTING and SHARING. I find it offers you less freedom to create outside the box however it does help keep your presentations relevant. You also get a lot of pre-designed templates (and structured content) and you can easily customize these templates - just replace existing images with your own. I also find the PREZI ANALYTICS features invaluable as it allows you to share your presentation to others and you can review which parts they were more interested in or view most. Quiet useful if say you had a sales meeting, shared the presentation to attendees afterwards and noticed they all spent more time viewing a feature you didn't give much attention to... you can call them up and follow up on that aspect.

    Once you build your base PREZI you can easily duplicate for various customers with their bespoke branding etc.

    Like all software they are continually trying to improve and in the past I found PREZI original less stable... but some 300+ presentations later (which helped me secure and start several businesses) I would definitely recommend exploring both versions.

    Oh! one tip I find useful is that I first create a base presentation and then make a copy... and work on the copy so I can always revert to the older version if they new version does not workout... you also have several backups!

    Conversations with not at clients

    Prezi is changing how we have conversations with our clients.

    Appreciate that we can focus on things the client wants to hear versus having to go through a presentation slide by slide and risk losing their attention.

    Glad to see Prezi is getting Prezi Next to have the same tools that the classic version had. Love all of the tutorial videos they have on Youtube.com to help new users get started.
