However the prices ramp up every year, which is pretty cynical marketing. I dont believe running costs are going up at the same rate that annual fees are.
Secondly, there is a log term intermittent issue sending email from one.com to BTInternet. BTIntenet will occaisionally bounce emails send from one.com. One.com would never offer any serious help on this or take ownership of the problem. Instead they pointed the finger at BTInternet and shrugged their shoulders. As a result I have to use a gmail account to send to BTInternet recipients, simply because one.com cannot deliver my emails. I would vote 0 stars if I could. To transfer a domain away you have to complete a form by physically printing it then sending it to them! My printer wasn't working, so after (a 2nd) chat with support they said I could photo my signature and attach it. but oh no, they couldnt accept that after all, despite saying they would. But if I hand wrote the entire form and then signed it that's ok. !!!. So how I send it you wonder? TAKE A PHOTO. Your service is good but your payment portal is very bad. You need to have a system that will accept all credit cards all over the world. I live in the US and i have 5 websites under your service and i have been made to pay senseless bank transfer charges to renew my websites all because your system card system declined all my cards, families and friends cards too. Don't give me that BS that its my card cos over and over i have called my card service and really they said the problem is with one.com payment system. I complained this to you and still you didnt fix the problem. I believe you are using a 200BC service for card payments. You need to upgrade pls.Maybe if you fix this issue, i will give u a 5star. I can say that your platform is very good to me for now', and although it is not the main goal, but if it had mailing system inside (such as Active Campaign) it was just perfect. :)
In any case the only exception that I have with your system is, that there is no option of talking to someone in the support team on the phone, Some times it is frustrating to wait several hours to get response on email. beside that I'm fine.

I've been with one.com for years and had no problem. But now that I want to move domain and hosting to another company they are essentially holding my domain hostage by not giving me an EPP/Auth code.
I've spoken to countless staff and each sends me in administrative circles.. sending EPP code to the email of my previous hosters! Which I of course cant access. Other hosters give you the EPP through the control panel.
After sending and resending scanned signed documents, copies of my passport (!).. one.com are still not releasing my own domain to me (which is actually my own name!). It is a complete waste of time and I presume they want to make the process as frustrating as possible so customers give up and stay with them.

Unfortunately, we can only send the Domains Auth-ID to the current owner's email address stated in the Owner details.
The problem, in this case, is that you transferred the Domain to us with the owner details, and it's not you as a Private person that is stated as owner. The domain is registered on a Company so, by law, we can't just change owner details per your request. That is why your forms could not be approved; it is not up to us.
I have sent you a reply in your support ticket with a solution for how you can go about resolving the ownership issue and get the Auth-ID code.

Don't usually write reviews but was prompted by a one.com email to leave one. Our experience with one.com has been average at best. We quite regularly experience server problems which means our webshop/ whole website is down or not working optimally. A couple of years ago, one.com actually deleted our website by accident and I was originally told it couldn't be resolved until after the weekend which would have meant we'd lose a few days worth of sales. I wasn't impressed. After kicking up a fuss on twitter they re-instated our website. I really dislike that they don't have a telephone number to call and have wasted hours and hours over the years on the live chat help function.
A telephone contact with an expert would have been particularly useful when we discovered flaws in the way that the stripe payment plug in was integrated with the website leaving us vulnerable to fraud. Im by no means a computer expert but was left to deal with this issue myself, and was completely out of my depth. I had to make many phone calls to Stripe technical team in California. I've lost over £1000 through card fraud and I do consider one.com to be somewhat responsible for that because the billing details were not being verified correctly and according to Stripe, one.com were at fault for this. I never got a definitive answer from one.com or stripe regarding the issue so haven't pursued it in any way.
Every now and then when one.com make an update it causes the website to be down for a while. It happened earlier this week in fact.
All in all you get what you pay for and one.com offer affordable rates and you can produce a reasonable website with their templates. I'm happy with our website but if you want a sophisticated website with all the modern features I wouldn't recommend one.com from my experience and do plan to move to another host in the future.

To ensure that we improve our services provide a competitive product for our customers, we need to improve continuously. We recently have put a lot of resources for enhancing the quality of the services we provide as well as offer new features; price increases are occasionally unavoidable.
The reasoning behind this is; to make sure there is enough time to cancel the domain before we have to pay for its renewal if the customer decides to terminate.
Therefore, we need to know at least 30 days before expiry, this because some of the registries require that one terminate a set number of days before the domain expires. And we want to give the customers a month to cancel the account after the invoice has been sent. There needs to be a big enough window to pay before it's too late. These two things result in the invoice being sent out 60 days before renewal, which is also not optimal, but better than that the customers have too short a time to cancel.
With this said I have been able to find a solution for you, please find the email with more information that I have sent to your contact email address.
