I cancelled the auto payment on my credit card with Survey Monkey and then after I see I was billed anyway, I contacted the billing dept. whose response was 'so sorry but we only see that you deleted your acct. so too bad you have to pay anyway.
Is this the reason it is so hard to contact the company other than email a dept. Their leadership team has no contact info.

Survey Monkey = SPAM
Every time I participate in a Survey Monkey survey I receive tons of spam...I just completed a survey through Survey Monkey for my employer and not even 2 minutes had passed before I received 43 spam messages. I will not participate in any surveys through Survey Monkey ever again.
Beware
Beware! Survey Monkey's paid plans are a SCAM unless you are using it very frequently. The free version doesn't do much, so they force you into a yearly paid plan, that can't be refunded even if you only use it once. Find another service!!
Auto-renewal
Survey Monkey uses an auto-renewal on your subscription, which means that they quietly take the money out of your account and then send you the receipt (rather than ask you if you want to renew your expensive yearly subscription)
I might be a sucker, but I missed this and have ended up paying hundreds of pounds worth of yearly subscription fees (£408 to be precise) that have not yet been refunded.
My intention was to use the service once - way back in 2017 - but I was then charged for renewal in both 2018 and 19. For 2018, I was out of the country at the time and didn't notice the money go out or the email come in...
For 2019, I went to my bank and requested that they block the money going out. Following this, and a note of complaint, SurveyMonkey gave me a refund on the 2019 payment but have kept the 2018 payment.
This seems like incredibly sharp practice - a policy of taking advantage of people in a hurry (and the slightly IT illiterate).

Try something else!
We have being paid customers of SurveyMonkey since 2012. For a few years they were working great. No new functions or services added, but everything was running smoth.
In 2017 they started to change the pricing scheme, without adding more services and making the life of the users more complicated.
And now, the force you to have account verification even if you do not want to use it. By this, they are forcing you to have paid accounts with multiple users, even if you do not want more than 1 user.
And yes, we also experience their customer support(!!!) Good luck with that!
After 7 years using their services, we are leaving them to work with other options.

Dishonest billing tactic
Dishonest billing tactic, a company trying to make money in a dirty way. I agree with the majority of the negative reviews here.
Terrible customer service even for long time customer
I've been a customer of Survey Monkey for many years and I pay for the service off and on regularly.
I forgot to turn off auto renew and got charged for a second month. Within minutes of getting the email I contact them and explain I don't need the second month, and that I had made a mistake and to please cancel and refund the recent payment.
After a back and forth with the agent it was made clear that there was no way he could rectify the situation as it's 'not their policy'
