hearing at my friend Jenna
who's gonna
teach me how to get our in
a grandes
famous ponytail all right
well the truth
I'm really excited about
this look
because I have super fine
and thin hair
and I'm always looking for
ways to add
some volume I'm really
excited to learn
how to take this iconic
ponytail and
make it into something that
we can wear
every single day ariana
grande's
ponytail is legendary the
popstar has
cultivated a style that is
instantly
recognizable as her own
signature look
the ponytail has been a

conversation for as long as

been rocking it even
inspiring lyrics

here's how we created the
full style
okay so the first step on
your super
clean hair and super soft
is to make it
dirtier because we want it
to hold in
the ponytail we don't want
it to slip
okay we're putting a ton of
hair in so
we just want to make it a
little bit
gritty first so what I'm
gonna do is I'm
going to spray some salt
spray in your
hair and then just kind of
dry it in
[Music]
so I know ariana grande
doesn't have
bangs but I'm thinking like
ariana
grande like that one time
she's the MTV
Movie Awards and she had
the Bey you
know talking about so when
you're doing
this at home and you're
blow-drying the
product into your hair you
want to blow
back towards the ponytail
and the stuff
in the back you want to
direct it up to
where the ponytail is going
to be placed
so now your hair is
sufficiently dirty
and I touch it yeah oh it
feels
different if you follow
your cheekbone
at the angle that it's
going hop your
ponytail would be great
here if we went
here it would look too
silly and if we
went any lower you wouldn't
get that
dramatic effect from the
side or from
the front wow that's cool I
had no idea
that you could like make it
specific to
your own yeah and then you
just contour
your cheekbones and that's
when you get
that really snatched look
so first what
I'm gonna do is kind of
section out two
ponytails the upper part
and the lower
part now I'm just taking
another section
it's about an inch back
from my party
where the ponytail is going
to come
together and this is where
I'm going to
start putting in the
extension
