marketing trick that has
lost me
thousands and thousands of
dollars and I
just recently found this
out and I just
need to share this with you
so you don't
lose out on so many sales
like I did
just one tiny little tweak
that you can
do now I've been doing
email marketing
for the last three years I
haven't
focused so much on it I've
put a lot
more effort into my YouTube
channel and
growing my youtube channel
and on the
email marketing side I've
just been
putting in some swipes
writing a few
emails and falleth having
just a follow
up sequence and what I
wanted to do with
email marketing is
basically get people
into my list have a really
nice
follow-up sequence that
converts them
and just make sales like
that on
autopilot looked at my
stats I know that
my open rates are not the
highest and I
know that my click-through
rate are not
the highest but they're
fine and I've
always heard that the money
is in the
list and I've always heard
that and I've
never understood because I
wasn't making
that much money out of my
email list I
was making a quite a bit
but I could
have made a lot more so
last month I
traveled to Portugal on
Portimao where
there was an event where a
lot of
speakers were there this
was an internet
marketing event and I got
to meet a Matt
base act which is a email
marketing
expert that really knows
his craft I
think he's been online for
about 22
years now and he's just an
email
marketing fanatic and I got
to meet a
lot of cool people as well
like deadbeat
super affiliate and this
event just blew
me away
when Matt was speaking at
the event he
said this S + C + e equals
money in that
sense for how many emails
do you send
how many clicks do you get
and how much
EPC are you getting you
need to track
this stuff and I was like I
haven't been
tracking any of my email
marketing at
all I just know the open
and the
click-through rates so when
I came back
had to track everything as
I laid it out
I took an entire day to
track everything
I wrote about 21 new emails
that was
gonna send out and I put it
all up in
the autoresponder and then
I sent my
list to it and look at
these results
here we go guys 4% 3% 3% 3%
3% 3% this
is unheard of I've never
seen the
click-through rate be this
low ever
before and I was like why
is this
happening how can this
happen three
percent open rate I have
never seen
these low open rates ever
before so I
had to take a deep dive
into like email
deliverability how to not
end up in spam
how to not end up on the
perform
promotions folder and this
list is huge
right you can see all of
the things that
are in here that I've just
been fooling
around with and just
wondering how can I
improve my deliveries how
the hell is
this solo three percent
open rates and
then I found this alright
and this is
how content affects the
deliverability
and I saw this finger
printing one
well-known method of
analyzing content
is called fingerprinting
fingerprinting
in and of itself is not a
filter but
it's a technology that
helps mailbox
provider make decisions
about email
content meaning if your
fingerprint is
highly similar to a
fingerprint
belonging to an email that
has been
confirmed as spam then your
mail will be
likely flagged as unwanted
mail I also
found out that you have to
test test
test and then test some
more the other
thing was how and what do
you test and
the test that you have is
actually the
most accurate is the click
to open rate
so basically how many
people open your
email clicks that email so
I went into
my email autoresponder I
checked all of
the emails that I've sent
in the past
four autoresponders I
couldn't get every
one and then I put it into
a document
just like this and this has
given me so
much clarity and here is
where I've made
a big big mistake but in
the beginning I
said I crafted 21 new
emails right well
the thing was that these
emails were a
little
shorter than the ones have
already sent
out to my email list and
the
deliverability has a lot to
do with
consistency what emails you
send and
mostly how does the
fingerprint look
when they open that email
and here is
the lesson I want you to
take away from
this all right track all of
your email
open rates track the
click-through rates
and then find that the open
to click %
and what you do from here
is you have a
one winner right you have
one winner and
what you need to do with
this winner is
that you have to take your
winner and
then you have to write ten
new emails
and see which one of these
convert the
best so let's just say that
this one is
the highest converting one
out of these
emails that you made that
looks very
similar as the best email
that you have
ever sent and what you're
gonna do when
you find a best one is that
you're gonna
write ten new emails like
the one that
has already converted again
and then
again you're gonna find
which one is the
best one out of these and
then you're
gonna take this one and
you're gonna
write ten new emails and
see which one
of those convert the best
and then the
cycle continues and you go
like this for
years and years then you
can optimize
for exactly what your
customer wants
exactly what you should
write in the
email to make them click
and the best
thing is if you can track
your sales if
you can track your email
open rates to
sales you can track the
open to sales
percent okay and that is
going to give
you the best tracking stat
that you need
you only have to worry
about the email
open to sale rate and these
are gonna
give you insane metric and
you're gonna
make a lot more money with
email
marketing then you've had
before I don't
know how much I've lost not
doing this
and not tracking and not
doing anything
other than just copy
pasting some
generic boring emails
instead
what I should focus on is
finding the
top performer making new
top performers
and then tracking that top
performer and
going even deeper and even
deeper until
you have the perfect email
because you
can learn a lot of email
tactics you can
learn a lot of different
things online
and a lot of people will
tell you this a
lot of people will tell you
this but you
never know unless you're
tracking it and
you're optimizing and
you're optimizing
and testing and optimizing
and testing
and that is the key to
becoming the best
email marketer ever in your
niche and in
your industry but I just
needed to tell
you this quick story so you
don't go and
