I'm gonna be trying out
four different
methods of applying perfect
winged
eyeliner two of my methods
will be kind
of old-school
tried-and-true ways and
two of my other methods
will be newer
more user-friendly ways of applying
winged eyeliner so at the
end of this
little test I'm gonna let
you guys know
which way in my opinion was
the most
successful way of doing
perfect even
winged liner on both eyes
and something
that I think won't break
the bank as
well method number one is
gonna be a
normal felt tip eyeliner
from cat
anti-vaxxer so the tattoo
liner retails
for $20 which I do think is
a lot for an
eyeliner I'm sure you could
find one
that's just as good at the
drugstore but
this used to be my favorite
eyeliner of
all time back when I would
do wings all
the time it's just got a
really nice
opaque black color it's
very thin and
easy to get into that inner
corner and
flick it just right so
hopefully muscle
memory will kick in right
now and I can
perfectly create this winged
liner I
haven't done it in a minute
so let's try
this out yeah this is still
like I hate
to say it as good as I
remember it's
really just easy to fill in
it doesn't
feel like I'm getting out
of control
okay I'm taking a deep
breath before I
do this like okay
ooh that looks really good
she's nice
and sharp so far I think
the wing itself
looks really really good it
looks nice
and crisp that's the word
I'd use to
describe it crispy I think
the final
look looks really nice and
even the only
problem that I was so
surprised that I
had is that the opacity
just wasn't
there like I remembered
like I really I
really remembered the Kat
Von D tattoo
liner as being like super
opaque matte
black and it just was so
patchy like I
kept having to rub some off
on my hand
just to try to get more
product out like
I don't remember it uh
sucking this bad method
number two is
another older but very
popular way of
doing perfect winged
eyeliner and that
is scotch tape and a normal
liquid
eyeliner this liquid
eyeliner is from
Wet n Wild and it's like
one or two
bucks at the drugstore you
just take a
little bit of scotch tape
and place the
two pieces very
particularly and then
you just fill it in with a
liquid
eyeliner pen or whatever
else you wanted
to use so this option is
the cheapest I
believe out of all the
methods that I'm
trying today but it also
has its
downsides you could easily
just again do
your wings unevenly the
tape could mess
up your makeup underneath
and it's also
a lot harder to just
control a liquid
eyeliner in my opinion that
is what on
my eye
Oh things seem to have gone
awry already
I think I placed my tape
too low but
let's just keep going
Oh No
it's happening the wings
are getting too
far away from me and I
can't stop oh my
god oh wow
that's actually not bad
wide it looked
god-awful while I was doing
it but I'm
actually a little I'm this
much
impressed right now okay
let me just I'm
gonna get up in the mirror
and see what
I actually think holy crap
it actually
looks really will decide
let's ignore
the mistake that happened
over here look
it's really good
aside from my own mistake
on this side
they both look super even
crazy
so method two scotch tape
and a very
cheap liquid liner I was
more impressed
than I thought I would be
with this
method I really just did
not know where
it was going while I was
actually doing
it but in the end they
looked really
nice and even to me I just
feel like it
could be better I just
think that the
length is a bit off and I
just got
completely carried away on
top of that I
just went way too far I
took it too far
um but I do really really
like this
method I just think it's
probably the
easiest for people to learn
at least
until you get confident in
doing it
without the tape so we've
tried the more
traditional ways of
applying perfect
winged eyeliner now on to
the newer more
cool innovative ways of
doing it we have
the quick cat eyeliner
strips so what
these are are they're
strips that you
fill in with a felt tip
eyeliner and you
just press them onto your
eye and peel
and that's it that's about
it this kit
that comes with 64 of the
eyeliner
strips and with the felt
tip marker cost
$24 normally but I guess
it's on sale
now for 1495 which sounds
like a pretty
good deal to me that sounds
like a whole
lot of uses and you get the
felt tip
eyeliner with it it says I
have to start
with a clean dry face so
I'm gonna have
to just I guess I'm just
gonna like wipe
my the makeup around my
eyes off and
I'll hope for the best oh
that's already
like a downside to me like
usually
eyeliner something I do when
my makeups
already done like my face
makeup is done
so having to like start
with a blank eye
is annoying also what do
you do if you
have I shadow on it can't
even be
applied over eye shadow
which is Wow
okay so we have a
semi-decent wing on
this strip and at this
point I'm just so
annoyed then I'm just gonna
put it on I
think that this is as good
as it's gonna
get for me I've already
gone through
what four or five of these
Oh No this
feels terrible
[Music]
something is stuck to my
eye it's my
contact my contact just
flew out of my
eye oh my god why is
nothing happening
hang up so what I'm gonna
do is I'm just
gonna try to fix whatever
just happened
and we're gonna move on is
what I think
the best plan of action is
I can't even judge this
product properly
I feel like because it gave
me half of a
wing instead of two so I'm
just gonna
say that this this product
was a fail
for me I don't know what I
could have
done to make it work better
but it just
it did not work for me
after what just
happened I really just want
to give up
and go home but I'm still
here only one
contact in my eye and we're
gonna try
the last eyeliner method
which is the
quick flick eyeliner stamps
the quick
flick is also double-sided
which i think
is great because you get an
eyeliner and
an eyeliner stamp in one
the quick
flicks sells for
twenty-five dollars and
ten cents which i think is
reasonable
considering you're getting
two products
in one and yeah I'm just
gonna try it
I'm so defeated yeah it is
getting kind
of messed up but I'm gonna
try to fix it
with the eyeliner pen
so this actually worked out
pretty
nicely but I feel like I
did most of the
work it wasn't like a
one-and-done type
of thing where I stamped it
and it was
perfect but I don't know I
still really
love how it turned out even
with the
filling in I think it's a
really sharp
nice wing after trying out
these four
methods of applying winged
eyeliner I
feel like I've finally come
to a winner
and I gotta give it to the
quick flick
honestly I think out of all
the
different ways that I tried
today it was
definitely the easiest I
think it was
the fastest way it wasn't
exactly the
cheapest considering it's
twenty-five
dollars but I feel like for
what you get
it's worth the price the
quick flick is
also something that I think
would be
really good for people who
are like
eyeliner beginners who
aren't really
just sure how to map out
this shape get
it even on both sides I
think something
like the quick flick has
really really
helped and it's honestly
just a really
good felt tip eyeliner I
thought it was
really opaque and nice and
dark and I do
like how my liner looks
right now even
though it is a bit thick
for my taste
