went through three of my other videos
all of which that have a million views
and we showed you every single one
inside of our analytics exactly how much
they made this is my most ever viewed
video you can see if we change this
right now it's at the last 28 days if we
change this to lifetime you can see that
this video has over 1.8 million views
and it has literally made it occurred to
me that the general population has
absolutely no idea how much youtubers
make from 1 million view videos so I
decided to do what any logical person
would do and ask my parents how much
they thought a million views made you on
YouTube how much do you think a 1
million viewed YouTube video makes is
that right with you yeah all right let
me let me see it let me see it dad how
much do you think a million view video
makes take a guess ok so you guessed a
thousand and he gets a hundred thousand
yeah there's an answer but you're not
facing the camera towards me have you
got also decided to ask my Instagram

follow you boy what they thought a
million views made you on YouTube and
the answers were all over the mat some
people guessed 500 some people guessed
10,000 some people even guessed a
hundred thousand and so that really just
confirmed my original belief that people
really have no idea how much youtubers
actually make from their video and I'm
not gonna do what most youtubers do
where they give you some BS high-level
stuff I'm actually gonna jump in to my
analytics and show you lifetime the
dollar amounts made of all of my million
view videos just so you can get an idea
of exactly how much you can make from a
million view videos on YouTube well it's
an important thing that you need to
realize about YouTube and amount that
you can earn from your YouTube videos is
that it's actually drastically different
from person to person how much you can
make for your videos on YouTube because
everyone makes different amounts
depending on what they make videos on if
they have inappropriate content what the
average age of their audience is and
factors to exactly how much you can make
from
a million view video but I'm gonna give
you the average and then I'm gonna show
you exactly how much my million view
videos made so you can have the best
possible idea of whether or not it might
be worth it to you to start your own
YouTube channel and so to start since
everyone wants just like some overall
average what I would say is the average
amount that youtubers earn per million
views is between one and three thousand
dollars that's for prank videos that's
for vloggers that's for people who
create you know just general types of
content but the people who actually
create content on technology or software
or things that are a little bit more
lucrative and make more money for
advertisers they can make significantly
more and so just because the average is
two thousand dollars per million views
for most youtubers that does not mean
that that's the same for everyone and so
I'm gonna show you guys what we've made
exactly for our million view videos and
I promise you you're gonna be surprised
at what it is all right guys so without
further ado welcome into my screen we're
gonna be looking at four videos that
I've made that have a million views or
more and we're gonna talk about you know
how much they've made exactly how much
they've made in the last 28 days how
much they've made over a lifetime you
know this video has a very high average
view duration watch time retention is
one of the most important things when it
comes to actually you know creating a
video that essentially goes viral in the
make money online niche anything with a
million views or more definitely has
gone viral you can see in the last 28
days we've made 1,800 dollars from this
video which is you know not bad and
that's 1,800 dollars from only 27,000
views but if we look over a lifetime we
can see that this video I made on
November 26 so its july 2019 now so that
means that you know it's been out for 20
months about and we can see that over a
lifetime it's made forty-three thousand
nine hundred and five dollars and
seventy seven cents you can see that it
actually started pretty slow right it
started pretty slow it was making a
little bit more a little bit more you
can see that these charts pretty much
directly aligned with the amount of
views that the video has gotten you can
also see that there's a lot of you know
likes comments shares engagements
there's literally sixteen thousand
shares which is pretty insane actually
I've never even looked at that you can
see that 71 percent of people who
actually watch this video are in the
United States which is probably why this
video is made so much
from like a CPM perspective you know
normally when a video has a million
views it makes $2,000 you can see that
this one has made you know over 43 close
to forty four thousand dollars so it's
actually you know a forty four forty
three CPM which is pretty crazy when you
compare that to an average youtubers CPM
who makes like prank videos and things
like that which is you know making a
$2.00 CPM or $2,000 per million views
and so let's actually jump into the next
one which is you know how to make a
hundred hours per day on YouTube without
making any videos make money online so
if we look at lifetime we can see that
we launched this one January 29th right
so six seven months ago you can see in
the lifetime it's made seventeen
thousand nine hundred and ninety six
dollars and thirteen cents right and
that's for 1.5 million views so the CPM
is much lower right on this video than
it was on this video this video has you
know only a million views so it has less
views by you know half a million but
it's made over twice as much money and
that's the reason for that is that
people are willing to pay to serve ads
on videos about e-commerce right
software ecommerce providers people who
are selling courses on how to you know
be successful as Shopify are willing to
pay more to serve their ads on videos
that are you know very likely to have
people who are interested in buying
their products their software their
services and things like that that's why
this video has made such a significant
amount more than this video even though
this video has more viewers and another
thing you can see is this video has a
much smaller percentage of people in the
USA actually watching it right if we
look at this video before all right we
can see 71% are in the United States for
this video only 42 percent right so
there's a much higher percentage of
people watching this video in the
Philippines in India right which are
countries that actually have lower CPMs
and that YouTube pays less you know to
be able to actually show an ad to so if
we actually jump into the next one we
can see how to make $30 per hour has had
two hundred and seventy eight thousand
views in the herbs arts sorry minutes of
watch time in the last 28 days I'm close
to ninety thousand views and it's made
you know just under two thousand dollars
for those 90
and so if we actually go into life time
here we can see that this video has 1.7
million views so more views than the
last video and it's made 19 thousand
nine hundred and seventy five dollars
and 74 cents and you can see that the
revenue is pretty sporadic here you can
see that the views really spiked right
like this video went super viral in like
its first couple of days and then it
kind of calmed down but then you can see
that it's you know sustained it's gone
to down a little bit here and then it's
popped back up you can see that this
video actually has a significant
percentage of people watching it from
India and the Philippines so shout-out
to you guys if you are in India the
Philippines for showing support but
there's you know also 36% of people in
the USA but kind of the reason that this
video had such a crazy CPM and it's made
so much even with significantly less
views right this only has a little over
a million this one has 1.7 million right
so close to double as many views and
less than half as much made mainly
because you know of the audience
composition when you have a slightly
older audience you tend to make more
money because those people generally buy
things from ads and if people buy things
from ads the advertisers make money and
they're more willing to actually pay
more for ads and so you can see that you
know having the actual audience be
primarily based in a country like the
USA for example you're gonna make
significantly more money than it you
know if your audience is in other
countries like India and the Philippines
where YouTube is less willing to
actually pay for advertising I mean my
most ever viewed video in the last 28
days it's May it's done over 69 thousand
views and it's made just slightly over
three thousand dollars for those views
which is pretty good right and this
video I think his you know almost two
years old now it's July right now July
9th and we've published this on
September 3rd right so this video has
been out for like 21 months or something
like that so it's you know getting close
to 2 years old and you can see that you
know it has a very high average view
duration this video is actually over an
hour long it's an hour and 13 minutes
long and you know when people actually
watch your video for such a huge
percentage of time that just means that
it's telling YouTube that the watch
retention is high people are interested
in it and they should show it to other
people who are also going to be
interests
you can see that this has a you know
United States 53% United Kingdom which
is also a you know a very lucrative
country where you can earn a lot from
Canada again is the same Australia is
the same and so if we actually look at
the lifetime right here for a little
over 1.8 million you know one point
eight six million this video has made
forty nine thousand five hundred and
fifty five dollars and four cents and
the cool thing about that guys is you
know there's no cost of goods sold
there's no expenses this has literally
just been transferred directly into my
bank account which is you know really
cool when you think about it when you
know it's not like a traditional
business that has overhead and expenses
and cost of goods sold and shipping and
all those things like that so um if you
create content on YouTube you know and
you know what you're doing and you
create content that you know is
successful and you know that people are
willing to pay for advertisers are
willing to pay for and you can really
make a significant amount of money even
if you have just a single video that
actually takes off right cuz remember
these have all been in the last two
years
this isn't over like some long period of
time this is literally in the last two
years you know forty nine thousand plus
you know nineteen thousand plus
seventeen thousand plus forty three
thousand so you know whatever that is
like over a hundred thousand dollars
literally in just in the last two years
completely passively right I made these
videos one time it probably took me like
two to three hours to make each one of
these videos and you know still to this
day they're earning me thousands of
dollars per month and so that's truly
the most passive form of income that
it's pretty much possible to get and
YouTube enables all of that which is why
YouTube is literally one of the best
possible ways that you can make passive
income online and so some of the things
that you know I can really tell you guys
that are gonna be really helpful for you
is if you make videos with purely value
add right you're really only trying to
add value you're not necessarily trying
to sell anything generally you'll make
significantly more money just by
creating valuable videos then you will
by trying to sell something in a video
if you just add value and teach someone
everything you know about something
that's valuable like Facebook Ads
like creating a Shopify store or
whatever you can see that this video has
been shared thirty six thousand three
hundred and seventy-one times which is
absolutely crazy and so really the
number one thing that I've learned
kind of like a little secret and a trick
that I've figured out over time with
YouTube that has probably been the
number one biggest contributor to these
videos making a significant amount of
money we will get to in just one second
but really quick I do want to give a
shout out to our daily comment winner

you consider the best way to engage your
followers would be well the answer is
Nonie one you have to involve people
right that's why I respond to every
single comment I possibly can even
though I get thousands per day that's
why I give shoutouts to awesome people
like you who you know subscribe to the

bells and you guys are commenting
literally within the first minute we
always get hundreds of comments within
the first minute because you know people
want to get shoutouts on the videos and
that's why we always choose people who
do comment on our videos within the
first minute to give a shout out like
you know anyone so if you want to get

thing that I do want to talk about is a
little experiment that I did concerning
you know how to actually maximize the
amount you're earning from your YouTube
videos if we go into our channel here
and actually look at our videos you can
see that this particular video is
monetized right and so let me explain
something that's actually a common myth
that a lot of people don't understand
about YouTube people think you know oh
you know I just want to make a YouTube
channel I don't want to monetize it ads
are so annoying right and because I
don't wanna ties it then YouTube is
going to show it to more people right
because people aren't annoyed by the ads
that's the exact mentality I had when I
first started but think about it
logically YouTube is a business YouTube
is owned by Google Google has
shareholders right so YouTube has to
make a significant amount of money and
because YouTube's a business they're
more likely to show your video to more
people if you do have ads on it right
the more ads means the more money for
YouTube and the more money for YouTube
the happier you know Google the parent
company and the shareholders and stock
price will actually be and so if we just
jump into you know this video that I
made yesterday it has you know close to
nineteen thousand views in a day which
is pretty cool and what we're gonna do
is we're actually going to go into
monetization right here right so we can
see that it is monetized and what you
can see is we actually have an ad before
the video clicked right here we do
an ad after the video clicked right here
right and even if we wanted to because
this video actually is if we open up
this video really quick we can see that
this video is over 11 minutes and 35
seconds long right is secret to making a
significant amount of money on YouTube
it's just by actually having more ads
because what you really what you don't
realize is people don't care about ads
people are completely blind too for the
most part to ads like nobody's gonna
skip a video because it has an ad at the
beginning people are used to that and if
they really hate ads then they can just
pay for YouTube premium and not have ads
it's like $8 a month or something like
that so because this is over ten minutes
long we can actually have an ad before
the video and have an ad after the video
if the video itself is less than ten
minutes long you can't have multiple ads
in this actual video and so what we're
gonna do is we are going to actually add
on another ad just by clicking in the
middle of the video and pressing insert
at right and now literally what this
does is we have an ad before the video
we have the ad ad after the video
both of which no one cares about and
then in the middle of the video we just
have a little banner ad that pops up
that's gonna generate us you know more
revenue over time and what happened was
you know when I first started on YouTube
I only had I had zero ads because I
thought that people didn't like ads and
I thought I'd get more views if I didn't
have ads then I realized that YouTube's
a business and the more money I make
YouTube with my videos the more likely
they are to show those videos to other
people and so that's when I started
doing ads before the video and then I
realized that if you make a video over
10 minutes long you can actually add an
ad after the video and even what's
called a mid-roll ad and then I
literally went from you know making a
couple thousand dollars per month from
my Adsense from my YouTube revenue to
making over thirty thousand dollars a
month
consistently you know sometimes even
thirty five or forty thousand dollars
per month
pure profit from YouTube just by
implementing these few tricks making you
know videos on topics that people are
interested in that advertisers are
willing to pay for um that have a
primary you know older audience based in
the USA the United Kingdom Canada
Australia and then you 3 ads in my
actual videos so YouTube as a business
is going to make the most money and so
they're gonna be the most likely to show
my videos to the largest number of
people and so my advice to you would be
create content that is interesting
create content that people are searching
for create content that people would
share right that adds value and then
engage with your actual audience make
sure that you you know shout out people
in the comments make sure you respond to
people make sure you involve people and
treat your YouTube channel as a family
right treat it as something that you
really care about and then your
followers and your subscribers will
start to care about you and you can
really turn it into a serious business
if you do take it you know seriously and
you hire let you know videographers who
are talented that can help you with
editing so you can focus more on actual
ideas for your videos and really one of
the most important things that I've
learned is create content that has
already been proven on YouTube right
there's no need to actually reinvent the
wheel you can tell what's working and
what's not on YouTube you can tell you
know that dude perfect is an amazing
channel for dropping bowling balls and
now you see all these other channels
that are doing similar things and you
know pouring lava onto dry ice and all
of these topics that are very
interesting to a large percentage of
people and so instead of going out there
and trying to reinvent the wheel from
the beginning go on YouTube go to the
trending section go look at what's
working and then create similar content
to what's already been proven by YouTube
to actually work and get consistently
large amounts of views and then go out
there and get started creating content
that is similar or better and then add
your own experience and your own twist
