chatting with strangers because as time
moves on new strategies come to light
things change and things evolve and
trust me I know it can be exhausting at
trying to keep up think about it from my
angle I'm the one going out there doing
guys the newest and best strategies to
make money from home and free yourself
from having to be trapped by a
nine-to-five job remember you can't
possibly make every single one of the
strategies I teach work it just doesn't
work like that don't let yourself get
shiny object syndrome chasing after the
next thing and the next thing and the
next thing not giving any individual
strategy enough time to actually make
money with it the right way to do things
is watch the videos that I put out see
which one's actually vibe with your
individual skills and then go all-in
with that strategy until you make money
stop at nothing because the truth is
guys all of these strategies work but
none of them will work if you don't
actually put consistent work into these
strategies there are no get-rich-quick
schemes right and I know that sounds
cliche nowadays but it's true you can't
just get free money falling from the sky
it doesn't work like that
and unless you change your mentality
first you'll never be able to make money
with any strategy online it doesn't
matter if you're learning it from me
from this channel from anyone so my
advice to you guys who say I'm trying
everything and nothing's working is
choose one thing and focus right instead
of going wide go deep choose one that
vibes with your individual skills and
experience and go all-in and I promise
you it will work for you and so what
we're gonna be talking about today is
how to become a voice actor entirely
from the internet this is one of the
best ways to work from home with very
little startup capital and very little
you know otherwise skills required all
it takes is your voice to start making
money with this strategy just think
about it for yourself there's so much
demand for this every single software
platform pretty much every single
website every single service based
business needs a video explaining what
they do and most of those video
have somebody actually narrating what
the service or business does right
there's commercials there's
transcriptions there's explainer videos
for all these different types of website
service business while all these
different things right and all of them
need a voice actor to come in and read a
short script and they pay these voice
actors significant amounts of money to
read things even sometimes as short as a
minute long and before the internet
becoming a voice actor was next to
impossible right the only people doing
voice acting were the ones you know with
like the deep movie voice talking about
the movie trailers but now again with
the invention of the internet it's
leveled the playing field and it allows
anyone anywhere who's willing to work
consistently to create a viable
full-time source of income doing this
and the craziest part is some of the top
voice actors in the world are getting
paid thousands of dollars per hour and
obviously you're not gonna get that
right when you first start but you can
work your way up to that if you actually
build up a portfolio of work and
actually get some experience doing that
but if you're thinking to yourself but
Kevin I don't have a good voice I don't
sound good who would want to hire me as
a voice actor well we are gonna break
this down into three easy-to-follow
actionable tips that you can use to
start as a voice actor even if your
English isn't perfect remember voice
actors are needed all around the world
from all different types of languages
and countries and businesses they all
need videos and narrated so let's break
this down into three easy to follow tips
starting with number one step number one
is you need a demo reel you need
something that you can show people who
are trying to hire voice actors for
their particular businesses and the cool
part is everybody has different tastes
as to what they like when it comes to
voices some of you guys watching right
now probably think wow Kevin has the
worst voice ever and some of you
probably think that you boy should get
into ASMR but the truth is everyone has
different preferences right and that
makes it really cool for you as a new
voice actor because somebody might just
like your tone of voice
somebody might like the way you sound
and they'll hire you even over somebody
who has you know significantly more
reviews or experience or whatever the
case may be and so your demo role is
what you're actually going to be posting
to try to get hired we're gonna talk
about exactly where to get hired and
some underground websites that you can
actually start to post your demo reels
on to get hired quickly and to get paid
a significant amount of
to do that we're gonna talk about that
in a few minutes we're gonna take it
step by step and step number one is
recording your demo reel so how do you
actually do that
well the easiest way is to use exactly
what you're using right now just
literally type in voice actor demo reel
into YouTube and you can see people have
made tutorials and demonstrations just
about exactly how to do that or you can
go to a popular web sites that have
explainer videos and you can see
examples of voice actors you can go on
Fiverr and on upwork and type in voice
actor and see you know what voice actors
who have a lot of reviews are using as
their demo reels and then you can
actually emulate what these people
who've been doing it for years do as
their demo rolls because if they're
doing it they're popular they have a lot
of reviews then it obviously works and
then you can emulate that when you're
creating your own demo reel and to
actually go about recording your demo
reel you want to make sure that your
audio sounds good so how do you do that
well these are the microphones that I
actually recommend the first one five
fine is actually a cheaper option it
sounds pretty good has a lot of amazing
reviews or you can choose something a
little bit more expensive like the Yeti
which is kind of well known for being a
voice actor mic and having a really high
quality overall or you can do what I do
for my own podcast which is simply just
recording on your good old cell phone
it's not gonna sound you know as crisp
as some of the more expensive
microphones but it's a good way to
actually get started again completely
for free and as a side note it is good
to use what's called a pop filter
because peas and s's sound very harsh
sometimes when you actually are
recording for voice acting so they do
have pop filters very cheap for like ten
dollars on Amazon or you can use
something like pantyhose or a piece of
material stretched across a hanger to
speak through it so it actually makes
those harsh sounds sound better when you
are doing your demo reel another
alternative is to use what's called a
sound booth again they do have sound
booths on Amazon but they can be kind of
expensive if you're just trying to get
started a cool little hack that we've
actually used to record some overlays
for some of our b-roll videos it should
just go inside of a closet with a lot of
clothes hanging around and what happens
is the clothes actually absorb your
voice and the sound waves instead of
bouncing off the walls they get dampened
and then the overall audio actually
sounds a lot better so I'm kind of
revealing some of the hack
that we actually use on this channel and
for my podcast and some ads that we've
recorded but you can apply these same
methodologies to your voice recordings
to make them sound significantly better
and then once you have your demo reel
recorded what you want to use is a free
software called audacity to edit the
sounds together to make sure that they
all sound good and you can use simple
tools inside of audacity like EQ
compression and mixing to make your
actual demo real sound as good as
possible but none of that's actually
necessary most of us will probably just
use audacity to cut the individual audio
clips together to make one final demo
reel and if you want to save time simply
outsource it to Fiverr like so many
things in life step number two is
finding people to actually pay you for
your voice acting skills and there's
three underground websites that are best
to be able to do this where you're gonna
maximize and get paid the most for the
least actual amount of your time being a
voice actor the first website is called
voices.com right it's not a very playful
name but it does have a significant
impact when it comes to making money as
a voice actor the second website is
called voice one two three com and the
third is called bodega comm so these are
the three biggest sites in the industry
and all you have to do to start earning
money on these sites is simply posting
the demo reel that you created you can
also create a listing offering up your
services or apply to pre-existing jobs
by submitting your demo reel
individually and if you're just getting
started what I recommend is what i
always recommend right the best way to
get your foot in the door is by offering
either free services or heavily
discounted services to start building up
your portfolio getting some reviews on
your account and making it much easier
for you to get additional jobs down the
line so what I recommend is offering up
completely free services for the first
you know 3 to 5 people just to build up
some reviews on your account and start
actually building a portfolio where it's
going to make it much easier for people
to be comfortable paying you you know
$50 $100 for a single minute long reel
of your voice and with hundreds of new
listings every single day of businesses
and people who are trying to hire voice
actors if you're signed up to all three
site and if you're actively submitting
your demo reel to all the new listings
that come up offering free or reduced
services at first you are guaranteed to
start getting some jobs building up your
portfolio and then you're able to
actually start charging more and more
and more for your time and step number
three and most importantly we will get
to in just one second but really quick I
want to give a shout out to our daily

you had to start over from scratch in
the next 30 days so this is a great
question probably what I would do is
learn a high value skill right if my
mind got you raced or if I knew what I
actually knew I would go back and
immediately start a marketing agency if
you learn digital marketing specifically
for one business right if you really go
deep in it and learn digital marketing
specifically for real estate agents for
example you can make a fortune doing
that and then once I actually did that I
would leverage the income that I was
making right probably within 30 days and
I would reinvest that and create some
type of digital product and start
helping other people do the same thing
build a community and pretty much do
exactly what I did
starting 18 months ago and so if you

don't be like the 99% of people that
never do anything be the 1% that
actually signs up if you think you can
do this which you can right if you can
talk you are able to do this and there's
voice actors who are generating
full-time incomes from all around the
world every single day who's doing this
people are doing it every day but it's
up to you to actually take action and be
consistent if you're not consistent
you'll never make this strategy work
you'll never make any other strategy
work and you'll just continue to comment
down on my videos that none of the stuff
that I'm spending you know hundreds if
not thousands of hours researching and
putting out for free for you guys saying
that none of it works so be consistent
