alright guys so in this video we're
gonna be talking about how you can get
unlimited buyer crazy fanatical
ridiculous traffic to your Shopify store
even if you have absolutely no idea
where to start and we have a very
special guest Sarah from wholesale Ted
who has hundreds of thousands of
subscribers on her own channel she's
gonna be breaking down her top
strategies that are going to start
getting buyer crazed traffic to your
Shopify store literally as soon as today
let's go now I've seen this before on my
channel but I'm gonna say it again free
free free everybody loves free and you
know what is a source of free traffic
and free customers to your store search
engine optimization otherwise known as
SEO if you don't know what SEO otherwise
known as search engine optimization is
it's when you get free traffic from
Google for example let's take this
Aliexpress item that you could be drop
shipping right now it's a mug that when
you drink out of it turns your face into
a cat's face hence it's called the cat
face mug well if we come to Google and
do a search for cat face mug and look at
the top web sites that google recommends
for the search phrase you will see that
on the first page of results is the
Shopify store here mug 'dom and if we
click on your listing and scroll down it
we can see that there drop shipping this
mug directly from Aliexpress because of
the shipping time disclaimer at the
bottom of the product description mug
dome is what I would call a flick store
because it does both drop shipping and
print-on-demand
and it actually ranks really well for
lots of different keywords for example
if we come back to google and type in
dr. max we will see that mug down once
again of ranking highly in Google search
results and if we click on their listing
you'll see it takes us to the collection
page for all of the different doctor
mugs
most of these are original mugs that
they've created with print-on-demand
services like printful and prenta phi
shipping this mug here from Aliexpress
and this is super cool as a collector of
novelty mugs I plan to get one of these
for myself too and the wonderful thing
for mug them is that they pay Google
nothing
absolutely nothing for that traffic they
have made some tweaks and modifications
to their website to make it google
friendly and so now google recommends
their website for related keyword
phrases which is pretty significant
because check this out
mcdhh um ranks number three and the
organic free nhanh add results for the
phrase doctor mugs and that is very
impressive when you consider that google
found over 40 million other pages
related to this phrase so why did Google
choose to rank mundum number three out
of over forty million other pages well
for this video we're going to simplify
it down a little bit here because I've
actually got a much more comprehensive
free SEO tutorial on my channel and that
is over 30 minutes long but essentially
as I said before mugdha made some free
tweaks and modifications to their
website to make it google friendly and
the good news for you is that most other
stores out there don't bother to make
these tweaks and modifications because
while they're free they do have another
cost and that cost is your time so if
you are willing to go to the effort
actually do this then that puts you at a
massive competitive advantage so yes
well I can't give you a full-blown SEO
tutorial here here are three tips to
help make your store Google friendly 1
make sure that your product page has at
least 400 words on it something to keep
in mind when you're making your website
Google friendly is that Google as a
robot a machine and so out of anything
in the world the thing it understands
the best is numbers and text and I say
that word of my New Zealand accent so
when Google sees that you've got lots of
well-written text on your product page
it indicates to them that you care about
giving your user a great experience and
ultimately at the end of the day Google
has one ultimate goal and that is to
solve its customers problems and so when
it sees that you're putting lots of
words on your page it indicates to them
that that's what you are trying to do to
use lots of relevant descriptive words
now in the SEO industry we do actually
have a technical phrase for this it's
called LSI keywords which is essentially
a fancy way of saying to use lots of
descriptive relevant words
but let's go back to mug them for a
moment this category page of deals was
ranking number three in google for the
search phrase doctor mugs but we can see
that on this page there are lots of
words that are relevant to the search
term enter doctors in general in the
category description we can see the word
mug doctor in the category URL we can
see the words doctor medical mugs and
all of the product titles listed here
also count as words on the page and they
all contain relevant descriptive words
as well medicine medical degree nursing
prescription all of these keywords have
something in common they are words that
you would expect to see if somebody was
writing about doctors Google doesn't
just want to see the word doctor and mug
on your product page they want to see
lots of relevant descriptive words as
well 3 optimize your images with text so
unfortunately since Google is a robot it
doesn't have eyes so it's not great at
looking at pictures luckily though you
can add text to images to help Google
understand what your pictures are about
to do that simply come to a picture
inside your Shopify admin page and hover
your mouse over it and click the alt
button when you do this you'll be able
to type in a keyword that is relevant to
the search phrases you want your page to
rank for within Google and something
that is important to note is that while
Google is a robot and it's not great at
processing pictures it knows that
customers really appreciate them so it's
going to fade the sites that have them
alright thank you so much for that first
tip Sarah let's get into a my next tip
which is how to leverage the power of
one of the most powerful if not the most
powerful ways to drive traffic to your
Shopify store so what we're looking at
right here is a website called a shop
inspect we're actually looking at the
hot products section and if we just take
one of these products we're gonna choose
one right here this is a Diigo so this
is a Wi-Fi IP camera baby monitor right
so a way to actually monitor your
sleeping baby from your actual
smartphone right so this is a great
product that we could potentially sell
you can see that you know it's really
increased its actual sales in them in
recent times and so what we're gonna do
is we're gonna actually figure out how
to target this bad boy and
traffic to this particular product you
know that are going to be interested
enough to actually buy this product so
what we're gonna do is we're gonna head
into audience insights audience insights
is basically like a cheat sheet for
Facebook ads again Facebook ads has over
two billion monthly active users so your
buyers are on Facebook no matter what
product you actually sell so what we're
gonna do is on sin sites this shows all
of the people on Facebook there's fifty
five percent women forty five percent
men but if we come into this interest
section right here and we actually type
in baby monitor what we're gonna see is
these numbers right here are gonna
change so here now if people who are
interested in baby monitors ninety
percent are women right only ten percent
are men we can also see even a further
cheat codes by seeing what other pages
people who are interested in baby
monitors also like so we can see that
people who are interested in baby
monitors also like pottery barn kids
wedding wire deals for mommy I love
being a mom baby gaga right and so what
we can do is we can create simple
Facebook ads right using a basic video
or slideshow or even just images from
our supplier and we can go out and we
can target you know people out there who
are women because we saw that 90 percent
of people who are interested in baby
monitors are women right not a lot of
men are going out there and buying a
baby monitors so we're gonna target only
women and then we're gonna create
multiple little split tests of people
who are interested in you know I love
being a mom deals for mommy baby gaga
Pottery Barn Kids wedding wire right and
we're gonna run those at small budgets
maybe three to five dollars per day and
we're gonna see which of those ads is
actually performing the best which of
those ads is getting us the cheapest
sales from you know women who are also
interested in these particular pages who
have a very high likelihood of also
being interested in baby monitor so we
can literally see right here from the
affinity score this is like a really
kind of advanced actual cheat that you
can use for Facebook ads people who are
interested in baby monitors are eight
hundred and twenty-one times more likely
to be interested in the page outlet then
a general Facebook user right so you
know that people who are interested in
baby monitors are also interested in
outlet milkmaid Goods latch mama the
boppie company so I would start out and
I would target literally from the high
Safina t-score down i would split test
women who are interested in outlet
milkmaid goods lash mama the boppie one
by one by one with low budgets and saw
which one worked best so for a long time
i've some thought of it see as being one
of the best-kept secrets in the online
retail space if you don't know what it
Sears it's an online marketplace just
like Amazon eBay with third-party
sellers like you and I can list their
items for sale and it's a huge source of
sales and traffic with over 35 million
active buyers on the platform I really
like it see for beginners because it's
ridiculously cheap to list items they're
just 20 cents for a full month listing
with a tiny sales fee which is way lower
than the fees charged by Amazon in
comparison it's also got a super easy
search algorithm that you can manipulate
so it's a great place to launch a store
on and then to utilize the internal
traffic within it to make sales now I
can imagine some of you are thinking
well Sarah this video is about driving
traffic to a Shopify store not an Etsy
store of course but you can do what I
did when I launched my first successful
online store at the tender age of 16 I
would list some of my popular products
from third-party marketplaces and build
up a presence on there as well
then I would direct those customers to
my personal store for example that's
what the successful print-on-demand
store smash transit has done on Etsy
they have a strong Etsy profile but they
also have their own successful store
that they have opened with Shopify and
no this isn't exclusive to it see you
could use the strategy with pretty much
any other third-party marketplace out
there to drive traffic to your store
there's something unique to it see is
that unlike a lot of other third-party
marketplaces out there you're actually
allowed to place a link to your store in
your buyer and drive customers to it
through that but a much more powerful
strategy is if you have opened a Shopify
store like smash transit and you're
doing print-on-demand just like they are
you can utilize custom packing slips
what I recommend you do is gone to
Shopify and create a one use 20% off
coupon and include that coupon code and
your custom packing slip note along with
your store URL
that way happy Etsy customers will be
encouraged to come to your store next
time before you go and create a listing
on it see though please double check
that what you're selling is allowed to
be listed on Etsy barring a few
exceptions I shouldn't do need to be
uniquely made to be sold on there that
means custom design print-on-demand
products are allowed but drop shipping
from Aliexpress is not another amazing
tip and we're going to give you guys one
more from my end which is again hopped
into shopping spec which is at the top
software that all of the six seven and
even eight figure and beyond econ
sellers are using right now we're gonna
jump into where it says hot websites and
we're gonna go to a fast-growing
websites these are the fastest growing
e-commerce stores on the web anywhere so
we're just gonna take one of these will
take everyone does it right here which
looks to be a glassware and help type
service and we're gonna actually type in
everyone does it right here into a
service called SEM Rush and I'm gonna
show you guys exactly why we're gonna do
this in a second so if we press search
here what what sem rush is going to tell
us is where exactly their traffic is
coming from right because the thing is
if your niche is different if you are
interested in different things it's
going to be different every single time
for you and so we're gonna actually come
into SEM rush we're gonna type in the
domain of a website that we know an
e-commerce store that we know is
exploding in popularity right now and we
can see everywhere where they're
actually coming from right they get top
organic keywords 165,000 vol 4 for the
word bong which is six percent of their
traffic and we can see what their
competitors are right but really what
I'm interested in is referring domains
so we can literally if we have a similar
type of actual econ store we can go to
referring domains and we can send a
message of these people and say hey
stern bud legalization right heddes I
would message every single one of these
people and say hey you know we have this
awesome product also I see that you're
sending a lot of traffic to this
particular store who has a similar
product would you consider you know
letting us pay you to write an expose or
or write some type of content on our
actual products right maybe you could
send them free products maybe they would
just do it for free if they really liked
what your product was but this is an
amazing way again completely for free to
use shop inspect to see what the hottest
trending actual EECOM products and store
our and then to see using SEM rush where
those stores are actually getting their
traffic in my opinion the most
underutilized paid advertising platform
right now is Instagram especially if you
are using video ads on the platform and
for me right now they are performing
better than Facebook as you scroll
through your Instagram feed you almost
certainly notice the ads in it now
something to keep in mind is that with
Instagram it's a very very different
platform to advertising on Facebook with
Facebook there is a possibility that
you've seen long wordy Facebook ads from
business gurus well that's because on
Facebook depending on your niche these
wordy ads can be effective and yes the
business niche is one of those but
that's not the case with Instagram
Instagram is extremely visual so it is
crucial that you have eye popping as it
immediately engaged the user and video
ads are the most effective for this one
thing that that Instagram does have in
common with Facebook is that they are
owned by the same company Facebook and
so to create Instagram ads you actually
use the Facebook business manager which
means you get to use the awesome
Facebook targeting tools to put your ad
in front of the right customers so super
cool aliexpress item that you could be
drop shipping is this product here that
I've featured many times on my channel
it is the good old camera lens travel
mug yes it's exactly what it sounds like
a travel mug that are shaped like an
actual camera lens this thing looks
super realistic I've had many friends
who've seen it precariously sitting on a
shelf and get really nervous and then
come over to push it back so then work
full and break and then when they pick
it up I like wow it's super light and
they quickly realized that it's not
actually real after oh it's why those
things so super well so let's say that
we wanted to make and Instagram ad for
it you would then create ads for it in
the same way as you would for Facebook
you come to the Facebook ad manager and
click create and you then choose what
you want your ad to do so if you wanted
to make sales you choose conversions as
your goal you then use the same
targeting options that you get with
Facebook Ads
such as choosing specific countries or
cities to target so
for example you could choose to just
target Australia and you can choose
overlapping interests that match your
core audience which for this camera lens
travel make here is of course someone
who drinks coffee and someone who is
passionate about photography which is
why I chose this overlapping interest
because despite its us a specific name
it's actually an international
organization
once you've designed your ideal customer
using the targeting options you then
come to placements and click Edit and
unto all but Instagram ad placements and
if you're curious stories usually
perform better than feeds out of the two
now while I do obviously really love
advertising on Instagram as I've talked
about in our free ebook advertising on
Facebook is still came and that's
because ultimately at the end of the day
Facebook is a much bigger website then
Instagram well Instagram has 1 billion
active users Facebook has 2 billion
active users giving you much more room
to scale and so while I do indeed love
Instagram I don't think that you should
be throwing away your Facebook ads for
it just eat Thanksgiving for heavy me on
your channel and I hope that I've been
able to teach your subscribers something
