all right so 36 plus 30 all right what
does up everyone welcome back to the
channel I have meet the church twins who
have 1.2 million subscribers and 1.2
million subscribers and in this video
we're gonna talk about how they made 66
thousand dollars at 24 years old right
and he's who's older year-old in one
month $60,000 and she is 17 minutes
older minutes so let's talk about how
you guys actually did this right because
for a lot of people out there 2040 was
cold 66 thousand dollars in a month is
absolutely crazy and you know to make it
even crazier each of you had a viral
video in the last week right I actually
think yeah I think you from one of your
viral videos originally reached out now
we're doing a collab but you had a video
that got 1.5 No
yeah just about 1.5 million now and it's
like not even slowing down which is
surprising yeah when I uploaded it I was
like okay I can see us getting like a
hundred thousand so I think people will
like it but I didn't think it was gonna
be like and it tell tell the people what
you made the video about
okay so I've done YouTube for like ten
how much does the ads on the videos make
like the commercial beforehand or the
little like banner ad that you see
because people always ask about it like
uber drivers like everyone just wants to
know yeah um and so it's fine they're
like okay I'm just gonna make a video
about it so I made a video about how
much you make from a million views on
YouTube with examples of like a few
different videos I've had that got a
million views and then that video got a
million views so I was like and telling
what you're gonna make next so I'm gonna
make a video about how much the video
that I've got a million the video about
getting million views that got nine days
man wait kinda one yeah so yeah a video
about a video about
making how much a million do video-based
and so you had a viral video as well
yeah this is the first time ever
youtubers probably ever gonna say they
didn't want to get a million views on a
video I will say that but yeah get a
viral video about something that will
keep yeah but you know it was a video
that did extremely well and now because
we're keeping a private everyone's gonna
go look and see what it is yes I was
just venting about how I found out my
boyfriend cheated on me so I immediately
called him and said is there anything
that you wanna say and he was like no I
don't know what you're talking about I
was like are you sure absolutely insane
do you know how much I don't know yet
cuz it's only been three days so it's
like yeah probably like $2,000 I don't
think the CPM on it's like all that
crazy or anything and then the one you
made that that single video made close
to six yeah I believe yeah so so crazy
so you guys started YouTube ten years
ago mm-hmm you're like 14 yeah yeah teen
and people did into brand deals you
didn't like most people weren't of
youtubers nobody was like I want to be a
youtuber
they were like you making YouTube videos
like yeah I mean you just started in
2006 if I'm not wrong see I think you're
right yeah you guys started youtubing
literally yes yeah yes crazy that's
like an OG you know back then people
like didn't even believe that you could
make money they're like I just don't
believe that yeah
yep and now everyone like wants to
become a youtuber like it is a new kind
of like Rockstar right you will want to
become an influencer and you guys
started like so right so tell people
kind of like you know where is this
66,000 coming from right because there's
there's brand deals there's there's ad
revenue and I think to a lot of people
who don't know anything about YouTube
like it's just mind-boggling to kind of
think about all this like imaginary like
money that's kind of being created from
it right so like can you guys each talk
about right oh yeah yeah just like
percentage-wise like where is it coming
yeah how do you like think about you
know what you make videos about and
things like that so for mine for this
past month that we're talking about and
I will say that every month it's
different like about a third of it was
from the ad revenue like the ads on the
side of your video or before your video
and then two-thirds of it was from grand
deals okay and in general most youtubers
make a lot more from brand deals because
it's like it's just worth a lot more to
a company right they're gonna get a lot
more return on that then they are for
like just a little commercial right
people don't I feel like really buy
stuff that often when they see it just
like a five-second ad then when like a
youtubers like really like endorsing a
product yeah so and how do they find you
because I think a lot of people like
don't understand right yeah I mean
usually for me they reach out to me like
our accompany will be like we like your
videos or it just an ad agency or
something like that and then I will send
it to my agent that's usually how it
works
okay so two-thirds brand-new is
one-third yeah right and like when you
make a viral video that can like really
exploit your ad revenue right because
yeah it's not because I would say for
the past 30 days ad revenues been like
13,000 and before I was just saying in
the video I made about the one that blew
up that in January had only been at
1,800 because I was making shorter
videos and just I think I also wasn't
uploading as much but once I started
making longer but he doesn't mean like
okay this you can actually make a lot
more from the ad revenue if you're just
doing the right things yeah
what are the right things for the people
who want to create it right yeah so the
right things would be making your videos
10 minutes or longer and then just
adding like two ads in the middle like
have an ad before and out of the end to
add to the middle and you have to make
sure that the video is still interesting
like you can just put like a five minute
like blank screen I guess we will do
that my young way yeah but like a minute
of black screen and to me because I got
some videos that are over ten minutes
and have more ads but then they still
didn't make as much as the videos that
we're just more interesting so people
watched longer so it's like when people
are watching the ad like that's actually
watch that that's gonna be there and
they only watch a minute they have to
like get to it I think it's worth it
so also sometimes go strategically place
an ad like right when I'm about to say
something so in that video I was like
you got something to be shocked by this
like here it is at first no one was like
really mad at it because I did give them
the information right and it was only
five second and I think everyone was
just like so like excited that it wasn't
quickly but they just really didn't care
yeah so that was great I wasn't sure how
people are gonna react
yeah and I'm yeah people are like
conditioned to what TV does as well yeah
that's why I put in the video I was like
think about it like
youtubers you watch like a five-second
skippable ad for TV you have to watch a
full two minutes commercials for only
like five or seven minutes of content
yeah yeah
so it's YouTube's a great deal yeah yeah
and you can always just get YouTube
right if you're hey that's it that's
what I do
yeah exactly I actually had to cancel
YouTube right because I wanted to see
more ads like you know this sounds weird
this one what they were I like to see
what
entrepreneurs do for their ads like
because it's like interesting to see
like the ideas so I had to cancel it but
then I wanted it again so now I have
bulletin so it's kind of yeah we're
going to offer accounts oh yeah I've
done that actually so what about yours
okay so for me I made thirty thousand
dollars in the last month and five
thousand of that was from Adsense and
twenty-five thousand was from brand
deals so you know the Adsense it's like
pretty much a little less than 20% but
last month I don't think I even uploaded
a video with a branded deal you know so
things even out it's not like I'm
actually making thirty thousand dollars
a month I want to say yeah it depends
some there are some months yeah it's
like like you know well I guess that was
when I was doing the like shorter video
it's not probably right but the cool
thing about YouTube is that it like
throws yeah yeah month your channel gets
bigger people become more interested in
you more people watch and you make more
money that's not true every year since I
was fourteen I've made more money there
hasn't been a year where I made less
money and like if you think about it
like a normal job like you know normal
95 job gives you like a three to nine
percent raise a year and you're feeling
lucky and like YouTube like if you're
you know growing and getting better
there's no way only to make 3% more
money that's so true yeah it's just that
the beginning part where you're making
like literally nothing right I'm like
putting in a lot of work and then people
like this isn't worth it
you know so for the people who are
watching right because I think a lot of
people on my channel like to come here
to you know see awesome like proof of
people that are like crushing it like
you guys so it's such a young age what
would you tell people who like want to
become a youtuber how do they figure out
what's a great content about right cuz I
think a lot of people struggle with you
know I'd love to be a youtuber but I
don't know what I talk about yeah it's
like how would you guys get into that
question well I feel I mean at this
point there is a YouTube channel about
anything and everything
they're like fishing sneaker channels
all the things so just what is the thing
that you like do that just commit to it
most random thing and if you like just
edit it well and come up with
interesting like points about it and
like good thumbnails and titles it could
seriously be like and you just have to
like also research I know some people
that'll be like I want to be a youtuber
but they don't even watch YouTube it's
like it's important that you watch
YouTube and you understand as a viewer
why why you enjoy people what you enjoy
about YouTube and videos and that'll
make you a better youtuber that's such a
good point becoming I always teach my
students like becoming a researcher
rather than an observer like why do you
like that person why are you watching
like I think when I used to watch Logan
Paul like you so good at changing his
energy and like the camera angles and
like it's it's hard to keep watching
because he sucks you in so often with
all of this content yeah and that's so
funny that you mentioned like the
fishing training all the things like
that because there really is a channel
on everything in life and what I always
tell people is you don't need to like
reinvent the wheel I go look at what's
working like you know you guys have
thrifting videos right like maybe you
you did yeah Loni won't create think
about it doc dr. pimple popper like blew
up I'm just saying who saw that coming
I've never heard of that oh she has a TV
show now yeah oh my gosh it's like
getting millions of views yeah I mean
the craziest one to me was the ASMR like
13 year olds you I see her know ASMR oh
yeah okay she literally like eats
honeycomb and like it does like the
weirdest stuff and she's like a
millionaire a 13 year old girl and let's
not get started with the boy channels
I'm so jealous all righty but I think
he's gonna be so like confused when he's
older and he's like wait but it's so
easy to make money like mom like I don't
know more toys oh but I'm 29 - yeah
whatever there's also like I have a
friend who has a very successful slime
channel sounds crazy but like she sells
slime and just very well doing that go
to these conventions it screams today I
helped her like film it one and there
are these like kids who are like 11 and
14 with their own little business is
selling slimes I'm like oh my gosh 11
euros that's how I see money like you
can do something you always have to have
like that attitude like before we
started in YouTube we like on MySpace
made a myspace layout site where it was
like you made a website where you
provided layouts for people and the
reason that you don't like HTML kind of
do mm-hmm and the reason we did it is
because it was like the only thing that
we knew as like a 12 year old but like
people would click on as a website okay
so now I'm curious like sorry your
parents entrepreneurs know they're like
a teacher or mom works for like a city
that's insane because you guys are
obviously awesome
we're just very curious it was just ya
know I think he came to know like
they're great parents but like I know to
very early age some of the things that I
wanted in life like I wanted to be able
to move to California from Seattle and I
knew like my parents weren't gonna be
able to pay for that so I knew I was
like they made it clear they were like
and that's totally okay
ya know it's not a bad thing it's
actually better yeah I'm like so
grateful for it because otherwise maybe
I wouldn't be like an entitlement no cuz
I have a lot of friends like who were
wealthy in my like I wasn't wealthy
but I have friends who are wealthy in
high school and like they are not doing
nearly as well from like a financial
perspective at the people who had to
like grind for everything right so you
like form those habits where it's like
if you want something then go get it
rather don't like don't rely on anyone
else to give you anything and I think
that really like makes a huge difference
