really helpful video and it took me a
lot of time to actually make it so be

you kind of just reverse engineer this
stuff and don't make these mistakes and
just keep working on your business and
just you know come back to this as a
guide to never make these mistakes it's
really gonna benefit you okay so because
I did a lot of research on the different
things and I have lots of people
messaging me and I see the most common
mistakes you make so anyways guys I hope

back so today we're gonna be talking
about 14 the most common affiliate
marketing sakes so be sure to just sit
back and listen to this video you don't
even have to watch it just listen to
saying it because a lot of this stuff is
really important okay so mistake number
one is not building an email list okay
so I see this actually a lot is people
are just trying to drive traffic and get
sales and not thinking about the
long-term game so this is some of the
things you really gotta keep in mind is
building your email list and bringing in
those long-term customers because you
can always follow up with them and
potentially sell to them provide value
to them bring them to other traffic
sources so that's why you always want to
build an email list it's just a
long-term game and try to build a
relationship with your email list okay
so don't always rely on one traffic
source you know start building your real
email list as a back up traffic source
okay so you always have to might want to
have multiple different traffic sources
for your niche that way you can get you
know multiple different streams of
income right so number two we got here
is not having enough confidence in
yourself and so this is a big thing that
I had a problem with when starting out
especially with affiliate marketing is
just not having enough confidence in
myself not knowing that I can actually
do it or whether I was a value
enough to make money online so that's
kind of what I saw so I kind of wrote
some notes right here but so I see this
a lot with the beginners is they don't
think there probably will enough with
putting out the content and being the
person that reviews the product okay
so that's like one doubt you got to get
over and you got to realize like you
know if other people are doing it
there's no reason you can't okay we're
all people we're all equal like in a
sense like sure some people may have
more money more power some people are
more attractive than others but in the
end we're all just people and we can all
we're all capable of doing the same
stuff okay Rahl built with the same you
know same structure body structure right
so what you want to do is ignore all
these doubts because believe me we all
have them
you know just start taking action and
you'll be more confident in yourself as
time goes on okay so that's what I saw
as I served making more money just
started taking more action I get started
getting more comfortable with myself and
getting more confidence and I believe
confidence is everything in business
especially with all online business cuz
like you know once you realize you can
make one sale you realize you can make
another sale then you can start making
sales every single day and it's just
like it's just a compound effect and you
just start to level up okay so that's
the next thing alright so this is the
next thing that's really important
kake's most of us starting out starting
a business we don't have the right
mindset because we never started a
business before we haven't gone through
the process so what you don't want to do
is listen to yourself okay don't listen
to your limiting thoughts because that's
how I was why would you listen to
yourself if you're not successful like
it's the same thing right so what you
want to do is you want to listen to the
people who have done this successfully
stop thinking with your brain that has
limiting beliefs and start thinking
listening to successful people have done
this and listen to what they do okay so
that's the next thing is having
confidence in yourself number two number
three is thinking that Philly marketing
is get rich quick a lot of people think
this you know they think they can just
place a paper couple Facebook ads and
start making 300 bucks a day it doesn't
work like that at all you got a test
test test test test you got to put out
content put out content content you got
to do understand marketing understand
copywriting all this different stuff
that you know I've been
- you know learned in the past couple
years I've been doing this and I kind of
teach myself I've taken courses from
other people and so that's what you
gotta do is just think the long-term
game remember this is a business
business take a while to make money okay
so believe me you'll see stuff on
YouTube videos and different ads saying
like how to make ten thousand always
your first month with affiliate marking
a when they say that it's probably so
they can just sell you a course and
they're teaching you the wrong way or
it's like a scam okay if someone is
telling you like it's just a thing like
if it's too good to be true then it
probably is okay but you know if you're
listening to people and they're saying
okay yeah you can make ten thousand
month but it's gonna require a lot of
hard work it requires a lot of time and
you know if those people actually show
what they're doing to make that then
yeah you can trust them but they're
telling you oh yeah you just do this
this you can start making thousand bucks
a day please guys don't listen to I've
been fooled by those people it doesn't
work okay so that's the next thing thing
that I Philly marquees get rich quick
don't listen to those people it's not
what you think it is at all
remember hard work lots of time and
you'll see success with affiliate
marketing okay it's almost guaranteed at
that point right so number four the
mistake people make is selling rather
than helping okay so this is actually a
really crucial mistake the people make
is even though affiliate marketing is
you know we're basically sales people
okay we're trying to get we're trying to
get sales for companies and products and
stuff like that okay so we're basically
in a sales job here's a difference we're
not cold calling okay our goal isn't to
sell when people click on your affiliate
links they go to the sales page okay the
the people who own the product their
goal is to make the sale our goal as
affiliate marketers is getting the
attention and providing value so that
they might use there are links to check
out that product okay so our goal is not
really to sell we're selling in a
different way let the sales both let the
sales part and sales page do the sale
okay you know it's like even when you're
seeing traffic to Amazon if you have
Amazon affiliate links let Amazon do the
selling
not selling we're trying to help people
okay so your job is to be helpful
provide valuable content out so you can
build up attention and Trust so people
might use your links people are sick of
getting sold that's why they come to
affiliate websites or YouTube channels
to get real person's view without having
a biased opinion and so for example if
people are trying to decide between
different cameras they're not going to
go on the different cameras pages they
look at their sales pages because you
know obviously it's gonna be a biased
opinion so they're looking up on YouTube
the best camera for vloggers or
something like that okay so as affiliate
marketers it's our job to actually help
people and not and just cut out the BS
because people can sense bs okay so just
be truthful with this stuff know how it
should be and just don't have bias
things and your content should be good
and that's how you really make sales
with affiliate marketing and of course
there's a bunch of different strategies
but really it just comes down to helping
people alright so number five mistake
people make is not sticking to one thing
this is huge this is why I had problems
with in the beginning I've learned that
it's better to stick to one thing okay
so when starting out just stick them one
thing don't go around and promote eight
different offers and niches at a time
focus one get good at it and once you
start making passive income from it you
can move on to other offers slash niches
okay so that's number five is just you
know stick to one thing and really just
focus on learning that niche learning
that product learning how people working
on it stuff like that
okay so number six mistake affiliate
marketers makes is not comparing
products okay so this is something big
and something really helpful okay so
people always want to see comparison
okay so if you're reviewing some type of
product or course and you have to give
the advantages and disadvantages of each
product okay when you're promoting one
product and you're just being biasing oh
yeah you got to buy this you got to buy
this this this well if you're comparing
these two different products saying oh
yeah this one's good because of this is
not because the goodness but the other
product is be good because of this and
not good because of this people see that
and they could decide which one to buy
and then
then you have both littles lengths for
those products and either one they pick
they're gonna buy okay so it's like a
win-win situation so it's like a little
strategy love a lot of people don't do I
notice so that's number six is not
comparing products number seven mistake
affiliate marketers make is promoting
low quality products okay so make sure
you're actually promoting a legit and
good product okay so go through the
sales page go through their email
sequence make sure it's not scammy make
sure they have good testimonials make
sure it's an actual product if you
promote something bad to your audience
or to your email list and they buy it
and they see that's a you know it's a
POS product they're never gonna open
your emails again they're never gonna
trust you again because you or you
referred them a shitty product right so
go through it and make sure it's a good
product all right so that's the next
thing is number eight is do keyword
research okay so it's actually mistakes
so people not doing keyword research
okay so you want to do keyword research
so if you're on YouTube or if you have a
website or even Facebook you want to do
keyword research okay you want to see
what keywords you could potentially
bring for you know you want to find that
low competition you want to find and you
wanna find that low competition and
basically what you want to do is just
look for the keywords to make content
around those keywords simple is that
finding low competition keywords and
making content around the keywords kay
when people search for those keywords
it's gonna be low competition so you're
gonna rank for it people are gonna find
your content first and then you know
you're making content around it and
you're having different strategies to
use affiliate marketing maybe comparing
different products or something like
that okay so that's not another thing is
when you're making your content just do
your keyword research and make sure
you're making content around keywords
otherwise it's not as likely to be found
right so numbers 9 mistake is not having
good content okay so I know it's a lot
like you gotta have good products you
gotta know what you're doing you gotta
know marketing you gotta be patient and
you have to get after good content okay
so that's what it takes to really be
successful in this case so now I haven't
good time so
don't make half-ass reviews or just you
know I've seen people send me like hey
can you check out my Amazon affiliate
niche I'm like yeah sure send it over
and it's literally a store like they're
like this Amazon product this Amazon
product there's no reviews on it and
there's not much specific it's just a
store like people don't want that
okay think if they want to store they're
gonna go on Amazon alright they're not
gonna come to you so you have to
actually have good tonton review your
stuff you know you don't want to start
you don't want to store we're just
having people buy all the time you want
to make quality reviews with good
in-depth content with pictures you want
to have videos in it you want to have
people actually using the product and
stuff you wanna have good text learn
good copywriting etc okay so that's the
next thing is not having good content
and especially if you guys are doing
like websites and combined with videos
and I worked so well ok so just remember
that alright so number 10 is following
what everyone else does okay so I just
see a lot of people do this you know
they they just move on from trend a
trend so whether it's like drop shipping
amazon FBA cryptocurrency trading or
investing or whatever people tend to go
from one thing to another I've been
guilty of that my first year in
entrepreneurship but you know just take
a bit take take a step back and look
okay look look has a macro view okay
don't get caught up in all the attention
look at other people and you'll see like
Tai Lopez what is he good at what does
he do he's got a personal branding so he
sticks to it okay he leverages these
trends on his personal brands but you
know if you'll have a personal brand you
can't do this so if you look at like a
successful bloggers they don't go from
Amazon to drop shipping to this they
stick to blogging or they stick to
blogging or affiliate marketers they
stick to affiliate marketing is that's
what they're good at if you look at alex
becker he's doing software he's good at
selling courses and stuff like that so
what does he do is he sticks to it he
doesn't go put a bunch of money to
crypto he puts money in the facebook
guys cuz he knows he can put $1 and get
$3 back in two months okay so just stick
to one thing and just kind of look at
that other successful people what
they're doing
and build your business on your terms
and stand out from the pack because if
you're in the pack you're not gonna find
success can you gotta be the 1% you
gotta be out of the pack okay all right
so the next thing is learn effective
copywriting in sales K so I know this is
kind of a broad statement but really all
I can put here is read books and learn
marketing okay read books and learn
marketing okay so some books I recommend
is like stuff from russell brunson
there's a whole bunch of marketing books
just read some sales books every sales
principle it's all the same when it
comes to online all the principles are
the same so just learn the basics of
sales and copywriting and marketing and
I'll read the book like copywriting that
sells I think that's the title that's a
pretty good one so that's number 11 is
well I guess that's not a mistake but
you get the picture
number 12 is the mistake people make is
not creating enough content gained so
not only do you have to make good
content and quality content you've got
to make enough of it for people to find
you and to get enough traffic right
because that's the whole thing is we're
trying to get traffic to links okay so a
lot of people think they just have to
make a couple pieces of content and
they're gonna make a bunch of money nope
doesn't work like that okay
so you need to keep putting out content
and make it consistent thing you do
every day or every couple times a week
and make it become a habit okay and when
you mix up become a habit you learn to
like it or like you don't mind it like
me now like I like doing YouTube videos
I like providing value to guys in
helping people out right first when I
first started out I didn't like it I was
in it for the money and although I do
you know make some money from YouTube
that's not my only goal like I actually
like making YouTube videos but you know
it's it's just a cool thing to look back
at and stuff like that so that's why I
like it now is because it's like there's
a lot of hidden benefits and putting out
content that you won't see you'll see a
lot more self fulfillment yourself it
doesn't have to be personal branding you
could be putting out content on a
website about kitchen knives
that's a niche okay what are the best
kitchen nice put out content around that
learn to eventually like it if you don't
if you don't like it outsource it out
sources the people in India professional
writers they work for $5 an hour I've
done that before and it works great so
you know just gotta be smart that and
learn your strengths learn your
weaknesses and just focus on that stuff
okay so number 13 I don't have anything
right in here but not investing in paid
traffic okay so once you start making
money with free traffic strategies this
is one thing I learned is don't just try
to save all your money your brain kalki
that's not like like money is used to be
spent okay so invest it in your in paid
traffic sources stuff like Facebook out
stuff like email marketing stuff like
you know YouTube ads that's another
thing I'm doing is just investing more
in YouTube ads now so I'm trying to
spend all my money to scale my business
up so that's what you want to do you
know you're like would you rather just
make you know $100 a day $100 a day $100
a day and maybe like three months later
you're up to 100 $150 day but if you've
messed and paid traffic and learn how it
works you could be you know from $100
day to $2 a day when you're investing
that money in okay obviously it depends
on what you're spinning on ads but if
you're saying a couple thousand a month
and maybe three months and in three
months time you know that a couple
thousand will turn into four thousand or
five thousand that's gonna keep you
scaling and then once you get the more
money you're making the more money you
can spend on advertising it's just a
slow scale and that's how it works and
that's a lot that's another thing that a
lot of people don't really get okay when
you are investing in paid traffic I
wouldn't just send them to like your
website or like kind of take them
through a funnel okay start getting with
lead magnets build up your email list
some type of asset where you can get
back to them or like you know just some
to your youtube channel if you're doing
that
