we're gonna be talking about five tips
you need to know for affiliate marketing
2018 right now I'm on my sky deck

actually last night I went to a

I stopped five really important tips a
lot
I think beginners need to know and
that's really helping me out and
hopefully it'll help you guys out too
right so the first tip is a clearly
defined goal okay so what I mean by that
is a lot of people go into affiliate
marketing without having a plan of
action and they're just trying to like
like a lot of people just going to you
know Facebook advertising and they're
just they're just trying to get a sale
like you want to have like a long-term
business goal because you know if you
wanna if you want to be an affiliate
marketer you want to be this in the
long-term game you know not just trying
to make quick sales off Facebook guys
real quick have a long-term game figure
out a lifetime value of your customer
and really understand what you're doing
and you know write out a plan you know
write on the whiteboard and you know you
also want to say is you want to start
out with one thing this slowly expand
okay whether that's a Facebook group or
YouTube channel or an email list or a
website start with one thing start
putting out content it and do it every
day and then slowly expand for example
like I'll use my personal brand I've
done this with other niches too like I
started out with my youtube channel then
after a couple months I was like we're
falling I moved them onto a Facebook
group an email list and now I have it in
multiple places and that's kind of what
you want to do is once you kind of get a
set up and running like my youtube
channel slowly expand into other things
okay so that's step number one next tip
is really take your time on researching
whether it's ads funnels landing pages
competitors you know different email
lists really take time and research your
competitors and know what they're all
about find your top three competitors
see what they're doing as soon as
they're doing successfully see what
they're not doing successfully and just
kind of go off that and you know
you know spend a couple hours on this
couple days couple weeks event and
really know the niche know you're going
into and you know this this goes for any
strategy on affiliate marketing whether
it's you know you're doing websites
whether it's doing Facebook guess it's
really important for Facebook guys in
the CPA marketing research is the most
important thing whether it's YouTube
videos Facebook groups all this
different stuff you really want to
research this one of the most important
things for feeling mark okay next thing
is the people are lazy on their
headlines they don't spend time and
making it a catchy headline so you
really want to try to grab attention
with your headlines right so you know
people will do something like this okay
they'll have a landing page sign up will
have an ad have a landing page sub and
it'll be like free recipe guide download
now and it'll just be like an email
operative gave that headline does not
grab attention no one's good you're not
gonna get any emails from that and you
know people reach out to me every all
the time saying you know why am I not
getting emails my opt-in rate is 2% I'm
like then what your headline you know
what are you giving away like some
people won't even be giving away
anything gay you got him look I have
something really valuable to give away
haven't really freaking catchy headline
so like instead of free recipe got a
free vegan recipe guy you want to do
something like this nine cheap and easy
vegan recipe guide for busy people okay
it's like nine cheap and easy vegan
recipes for busy people okay so how does
really specific thing and it it actually
goes after people like cuz usually
vegans like it's hard for them to make
food so you want to clear easy for it
and then cheap also because usually like
healthy food is more expensive typically
so you want to like really have a
benefit in there
and yeah that's basically for headlights
oh really take it really pigeons your
headlines that a great guy in can fall
is uh Charles NGO
okay he he has a really good content he
has a free food marketing guide and he's
not paying me to promote this or
anything but he has a really good
section on just headlines alone and I
fear in my course I have a whole video
about headlines too so that's no thing
but so that's tip number three I think
so next tip is bad content so I've
noticed this for some people they're
just not putting out engaging content
not putting out good content so you
really want to spend time putting out
quality and you don't valuable content
and it's not so much like you have to do
fancy ending as you can see I don't do
any fancy editing you know I all take
too long to make my videos but but
really like you want to equal out the
quantity quality because I I think I
think quality is more important than
quality as far as like posting every day
but I still think quality you want to
have some good quality in there you know
I you know have nice light if you're
doing videos have a good content look at
your competitors again goes back to tip
number two and then you know just you
know what this this applies whether
you're doing email marketing YouTube
videos Facebook groups and websites you
want to have some quality valuable
content that way you get people's
attention once you get people's
attention then you could start to market
to them and monetize them okay so you
want to you want to focus on grabbing
attention first don't even try to sell
it first a lot of you guys know this but
I'm actually starting a whole new
youtube new youtube channel a different
niche where I'm not showing my face at
all it's a completely random niche and I
don't expect much to make any I don't
expect to make $1 for men for three
months okay so that's kind of the
mindset you got to have when you're
starting out a new business online or a
new niche or whatever you're doing right
you want to expect and you know just
grind out not make
money for at least three months or even
six months you know so alright tip
number five week call-to-action okay so
a lot of people I see there call action
whether it's in their emails or videos
you know whatever they have the call
action where it's just like click here
if you want to learn more something like
that or like click here to buy this
product gain you don't want to do that
you want to have something more like
this okay so let's say you're doing a
video right so you would say something
like alright so I just talked to you an
awesome dessert recipe that you can use
if you want thirty two more in-depth
recipes there is a very useful cookbook
I had bought a couple months ago I don't
want to talk about too much on this

something like that you want to you know
really like grabbing their attention of
like okay I just brought you some
valuable attention or I just brought you
some valuable content and there's also

long right so you want to do something
like that you don't want to you don't
want to pitch too hard you just kind of
want to like get truthful with people
right and that's kind of how it is like
like light pitches light pitches that's
what sells nowadays same thing for me

number three is don't get lazy on your
headlines really focusing and getting
them specific how to benefit in there
and you'll add some type of relief and
you know just keep like making clickbait
tea right so next thing is take your
time on your research really research
your competitors know what they're doing
know what they're about and everything
like that and the last one is have a
clearly defined goal of what you're
doing what you're trying to do with your
business and affiliate marketing stars
