everyone welcome back to another video
in this video I want to go over
affiliate marketing simplified for
beginners okay because I feel like a lot
of people because you know what the
philly marketing and i've been doing
this for like over two years affiliate
marketing full-time right and i've seen
so many different strategies i've met so
doing this way making money doing this
way and i think it overwhelms a lot of
beginners so that's why i want to make
this video because like when you think
about it what is affiliate marketing
alright when you really break it down an
affiliate is just someone who like
recommend something right and then
marketing is just you know the process
of getting someone to like it know you
like you and trust you and eventually
buy from you right so that's like the
defined definition of affiliate
marketing so when you think about it all
we're really doing is we have a business
but instead of you know honing the
business we're just recommending
products so when you break it down like
affiliates are just there to recommend
products to people kind of through a
strategic way right i do affiliate
marketing pretty strategically and if
you want to make a lot of money you're
gonna have to do a pretty citrine
strategically right you don't want to
just recommend it to your friends in
your phone contacts right we're doing
this strategically so what I'm saying is
affiliate marketing when you really
think about the big picture is for one
we're recommenders and marketers okay so
we're influencing people to buy certain
things right so like a common example
and just kind of like it to really
simplify it you know all affiliates
really are are just a bridge right so
you've got the consumer someone who has
a problem has a desire need some type of
product in their life they're searching
stuff on Google they're searching stuff
on YouTube they're looking up how to do
stuff right and then there's a product
that is a solution to the problem but
they don't know that yet right they
don't know that this product exists they
don't know if it can really help them
you know maybe they just don't trust
that this product is gonna be right for
them and we're the affiliate like right
we're just a bridge that connects them
to the product that is gonna potentially
solve their problem or fulfill their
desire right and the way we do this is
through strategic marking right we we
find people who are looking up problems
right they're searching up different
keywords on Google on YouTube right
there joining different Facebook groups
and we could take advantage of that of
targeting those specific people and
recommending products that they're gonna
find the active solutions to their
problems right so that's kind of really
all our affiliate marketing is and I
kind of want to break this down
I drew this sheet up and this is kind of
how I kind of look in my business and I
think how a lot of people should is you
know like I said we're just doing
marketing but instead of having our own
business and our own product
we're selling other people's products
right so what is actually marketing and
how do we get someone from not knowing
anything about our brand who you are to
you know knowing you liking you trusting
you and buying something that you
recommend to them okay so simple as that
is a sales funnel how do you products
how do you sell a product you through a
sales funnel okay so it's the same thing
with the affiliate marketing is you know
we got the sales from them right here
and what we want to do is we want to
feed this funnel and drive traffic and
you don't take them down through our
system right you want to have a set
system and you follow which is gonna
make money okay so what I like the thing
about it is the first way people are
ever gonna know about your brand know
about you know your lead magnet you know
stuff to get them as a lead you need the
first point of contact that can be you
know free content that I'm putting out
right now so YouTube videos Facebook
groups it could be you know ads that
don't really have a call-to-action
they're just kind of like discovery ads
maybe you're promoting or you're running
ads to your content right so there's all
kinds of ways to get different first
points of contact and you know this
could be one on one contact it doesn't
have to be contact it doesn't have to be
contact right you could just message
people on Facebook right I know people
who do that but usually they're selling
a little bit higher taking products that
they can focus on less they can focus on
quality over quantity right where it's
most affiliate to first selling $150
product we're kind of focused on
quantity reaching you know a mass amount
of people through the internet through
content creation through ads through
appetizing this right so the first point
of contact however you're getting your
traffic you want to kind of just feed
them into the funnel right so the next
point the next thing we're doing is
having some type of hook or access
points and this is what I call layer two
okay so your hook is your lead magnet
right so for example a free pdf a free
training a free webinar right all that
different stuff are hooks to get them to
the next step get them to layer three
right this is layer two two so an access
point you know another one another word
for hook access point is like putting
links in the description of your YouTube
channel putting links in your social
media BIOS putting links in your
advertisements right maybe in some of
your videos you have your domain name at
the right corner right or maybe in your
video you're mentioning your domain
right so you just go to this and this
com to go ahead and get your lead magnet
right so that's kind of what you would
say to people and then that's gonna
bring them once they get into layer
three this is where they go to your
opt-in page they download your hook
right they download whatever what is on
this page they enter their email now you
have a lead right so now you can follow
up with that lead and again they're one
step closer to potentially buying from
you right so now the lead generation
funnels just take them to an opt-in page
to a thank-you page where you can
potentially upsell the product and you
could put it you could potentially get a
sale on layer three right but you know
it's not all the time so that's why we
have these two more layers layer four
and layer five for these people who
really need convincing if the product is
right for them who really need more
trust built up right so this is where
layer four comes up is now that we have
a lead right we have a lead here we
could potentially follow up with them
so this could be follow up through email
this could be follow up through
retargeting ads so you can take your
leads that opt it into your hook and you
could retarget those emails specifically
on Facebook on YouTube on Google right
and what you're doing is you're building
more trust you're building more
follow-up
and like I said the average person has
to see something at least seven times
before they even consider buying it
right so that's where we have our email
flow up in place we have our ab
follow-up Facebook Ads retargeting
YouTube ads retargeting and then we have
our hot leads right so hot leads is
people and this is really advanced this
is layer five and this is if you really
want up your conversions so that's where
you're basically retargeting people that
visited your checkout page so I know
with the affiliates you can't really
have that some affiliate networks and
some product owners they allow you to
put your own pixel on like a custom
checkout page so you can retarget those
people basically who people were about
to buy the product they're in the
checkout stage they just didn't put in
their credit card information right so
that's one way to get a hot lead and
follow up with them with certain ads
right you could put a face with pixel on
that page or another thing you can do is
for example in layer four here we have
the email follow-up right what you could
do is you could specifically send emails
to people who are opening your layer for
emails right so your email fault if
they're opening all your emails they're
clicking on some little links right but
they still haven't bought from you you
could put those people in a different
email sequence because I know that
they're hot lead they're opening all my
emails they're clicking on the links of
my emails now I can follow up with them
a little bit harder give them a little
bit more convincing to really buy the
product okay so that's kind of what
marketing is and that's a sales funnel
that's how you're gonna sell a product
online and if you do that correctly
you're gonna make money right but you
have to start there and this is the
hardest part part is layer one getting
to layer two and then once you have this
whole thing built out really all you
have to do is focus on layer one and
that's really it because remember as
affiliates we don't have to take care of
the product we don't have to take care
of customer support all we're doing is
recommending parts so we're getting
people we're building the system we're
building this funnel and then we just
want to feed it right you want to feed
the beast keep on feeding you keep on
feeding it keep on feeding it and then
you know
what's gonna make you a lot of money
that's how you can really scale once you
get that system absolutely perfected you
have you know all the layers optimized
there one optimize layer two layer three
kind of to the point where you know if
someone comes into layer two layer three
you got them as a lead you know how much
money they're gonna make you or you know
how long or your conversion rate of you
know when they're gonna pry a product so
maybe it's two weeks they're gonna buy
it three weeks they're gonna buy it so
that's kind of really how you can scale
once you know your numbers like that
