what colleges are doing is they're
overcharging okay they're overcharging
for people to learn a skill set right a
learn a skill set that would be valuable
in the marketplace well in modern
society those skill sets are becoming
less and less valuable so if you're
a course or a mentorship and you need to
change that very very quickly because if
you want to develop high income skill
sets in the modern society first of all
they aren't taught in school okay and
second of all it's an investment in
yourself it's an investment in yourself
so if you're someone that has looked at
a course or has maybe pondered upon oh
maybe should I buy this course or should
I should I get this mentorship from this
person if you are second-guessing
yourself and you're taking all wasting
that valuable time trying to decide if
you should spend five hundred bucks that
you could go make back in a couple weeks
out at a part-time job then you're gonna
you're gonna go down a path of failure
in entrepreneurship there is no room in
entrepreneurship for people that can't
make a damn decision and invest in their
skill set and knowledge okay
that was me for about two to three years
I was reading I was reading books which
were investments in myself right but
books can only get you so far right
books can only get you so far it's gonna
take
mentorship high-level mentorship and you
know taking action on the things that
you learned okay and it wasn't until my
freakin girlfriend who is now my wife at
the time she
was pushing me she was like because you
know what she spends you know a lot of
money on college and that's just her
thing she's getting her MBA and that's
her thing right but for me I knew that
number one I hated college number two
I'm very entrepreneurial and creative
and I have that just entrepreneurial
spirit and want to work for myself and
not for a boss right breathing down my
shoulder and it wasn't until she you
know bought me a couple thousand dollar
courses and just put it on the credit
card right we're in debt because of that
it wasn't until then that I actually
leveled up in entrepreneurship
I learned valuable skill sets that
weren't being taught in college that
weren't being taught to me by anyone
until I took these courses and got this
mentorship right you know there were
times when I invested in mentorship I
remember I spent the first time I ever
spent money on mentorship I spent around
$4,000 on a mentor that taught me how to
trade auctions which was a very he had a
very risky approach high-risk
high-reward approach you know what and
it didn't end up working out but it was
great that I learned that skillset and I
knew that you know my psychology doesn't
fit with that style of trading so now I
perfected my trading style and I'm able
to make money swing trading in the
market you know like that like clockwork
pretty easily but it's the same thing in
entrepreneurship if you are afraid and
you can't make a decision on spending a
measly five hundred or even a thousand
bucks think about all the times you know
all the pairs of shoes and the clothes
and the food and the going out to watch
movies and all the that you
spent money on when we're when you were
young and you're afraid to invest in
your business invest in your mindset in
your knowledge in your skill set that's
going to help you make multiple six
figures possibly even seven or eight
figures right where is the logic in that
where did it become logic
good logic to be afraid to spend a
little bit on mentorship you know what I
mean so I'm like now that I've reached a
certain level of success and I've passed
that seven-figure mark it's something
that I'm so adamant about about teaching
you know new entrepreneurs that are that
message me and are saying all Ryan you
know like well you know am I gonna make
six figures right away or like I just
want to make sure that this course is
gonna you know help me make six figures
right away and it nothing is gonna help
you make six figures right away
obviously you have to put in action and
work nothing no success comes around
overnight right you saw my success my
journey it took a long time and not in
in comparative to other entrepreneurs it
really didn't take that long right it
took me about you know four months to
make that six-figure income
four months that was super fast and some
people can't even wait that long some
people are just in for that fast money
and they're like oh I want to make six
figures tomorrow it doesn't work that
way but you do have to invest in
yourself constantly because the market
is changing so quickly right skill sets
are changing so quickly the Facebook
advertising that I learned nine months
ago ten months ago is totally different
now right totally different there's
different different strategies with
Facebook advertising different marketing
strategies right so because technology
is changing so fast and skill sets are
changing so fast right you have to
constantly be upping your skill set so
if you're not investing in mentors right
I have Mentors
that I invest in right I invest in
courses I invest in constant even if
it's like even if it's not in
entrepreneurship necessarily if it even
if it's in you know I invested in a
dancing teacher a salsa teacher that
taught my wife and I had to dance salsa
right it costed it was about a hundred
dollars a session and I bought like 40
sessions right so that was about four
forty five hundred bucks on salsa
dancing but that's something that I
wanted to learn I wanted that skill set
so I knew that I was gonna have to pay
someone that was a professional salsa
dancer right world ranking world ranking
that national ranking champion I knew I
was gonna have to pay someone to teach
me that so if you're looking for that
fast way out or just getting free
information it's not that you're not
going to get to the level you want to be
at and you're most likely gonna fail an
entrepreneurship investment investing in
your sales and marketing is number one
but investing in your skill sets is also
right up there as well
okay because in order for your business
to increase and grow and grow you have
to be investing in yourself because
you're the person that is running the
business right so if you aren't
constantly adapting and evolving and
learning more knowledge in your skill
set from people who there's always going
to be someone that's better than you
there's always going to be someone
that's making more money than you
there's always gonna be someone that's
just crushes you so why not learn from
them right why not learn from them and
that's that's the approach that I take
drop the ego drop the negative
relationship with money right it's an
investment you're not spending money
you're investing it in yourself and your
knowledge that can never be taken away
from you that's one thing that can never
be taken away from you is your knowledge
so
I hope that this rant just you know
really put it into perspective for you
right I hope it really opened up your
eyes and I just want to be truthful with
you man I just want to be truthful
because so I see the level of skill set
you know these entrepreneurs in my space
are just rising and rising and rising so
in order for me to keep rising and
rising rising I have to constantly
evolve and invest in my skill set so
hopefully I could be a good example for
you to do the same and you know make you
hopefully help you not be afraid of
money and spending a couple thousand
dollars on mentorship because honestly
there are so many times we wasted that
money and you know what you'll get it
back tenfold I guarantee it if you
invest in your knowledge and skill set
