and today we me talking about residual
which is better the benefits of each of
the disadvantages and I'm actually gonna
show you guys like how to succeed with
both of them and how to apply both them
to the best use for your affiliate
marketing business so it's gonna be a
pretty cool video I'm also guys if you
haven't checked out this book crushing
it by Gary Vee I just picked it up right
about 30 pages last night I highly
recommend it's pretty good book so just
go pick it up on Amazon

let's go hop in the computer and get
into this video alright welcome back
guys so we're gonna be talking about
residual products versus one-time payout
products okay which is better for
affiliate marketing which isn't better
the benefits of both them so anyways
let's go and get into this all right so
we got residual products right here and
then these are usually software's or
some type of you know paid form slash
group that users you know pay
subscription every month so you're the
affiliate getting traffic to that
software or that pay group and if you
get people to sign up you get a
commission every single month that
they're paying that subscription okay so
I usually do this some type of software
company but so the benefit of this is
you're getting paid every month they are
signed on to the software so
Commission's are coming in every single
month without you having to do anything
you don't have to chase new customers so
let's say you get you know 200 people on
to $10 a month your are you're
automatically making 2,000 a month every
single month without having to do
anything as long as they stay on the
software or pay group or whatever you're
promoting right so the payout for
residual income products is usually
anywhere from 10% to 40% palca every
month
40% it's hot those are hard to find the
only one I could really think of is
clickfunnels they give a nice nice chunk
of every month right so but usually the
round 10 to 30% 20% so it really just
depends but you know even 10 percents
still good if you're getting it every
single month especially if you you know
you
calculate the lifetime value of the
customer which will be going into in a
minute but okay so the disadvantage is
the upfront payout is usually less
versus just a one-time offer payout so
the reason being is because you know
they're giving you money every month so
they're obviously gonna give you less of
a cut as if they were just to give you a
one-time payout right so so that's kind
of the disadvantage of this so anyways
what you have to do is for residual
income products you have to think more
long-term and you actually want dissect
what the LTV lifetime value of your
customer would be right so what you want
to do is you want to look at the average
retention rate for the software and the
average time someone someone stays on
the software right alright so like for
example let's let's say the software the
average person stays on it for let's say
six months okay so they signed up for
the software and you know they're paying
30 bucks a month and they their average
time that someone goes it stays on
software and pay $30 a month is six
months okay so let's say you're getting
commissioned you know thirty three
percent commission so you're getting a
commission of ten dollars for each
person every single month gay so that
means the lifetime value would be $60
for that product right so because
sixteen or six months times ten each
month is $60 so that's kind of what you
would want to look at with the average
person so you know you know if you sign
someone up that which person is worth $6
or $60 to you you know they might cancel
next month but you know the next person
might stay on it for three years so
that's just the average right so you got
$60 for the lifetime value right there
okay but you also you know you don't
want to forget out the back end right so
maybe you can sell you know a few other
things during those six months maybe
gone on to your email lists or however
you got them through that traffic source
you want to collect some type of
information from them or maybe their
subscriber or a member of your group or
you know use their on your email list so
maybe you can sell a few things during
those six months and maybe
person is now worth eighty okay you got
$20 worth of them for six months okay so
let's say 80 so now you you kind of want
to think you that you can spend either
$60 on ads or 80 dollars worth of your
time to get one person on the software
right so let me break that down for you
so the reason I said 60 is because the
average person is worth eighty to you
you don't want to spend eighty and you
know spend eighty on eyes and get eighty
dollars back in six months you want to
have some profit margin in there so this
is highballing at 60 you know if you're
just trying to get one person you
probably won't have to spend that much
money that's a lot of money but but you
know if you're if you're scared of
advertising or if you're scared for them
won't work start with free traffic
methods so eighty dollars worth your
time to get one person on the software
okay so you want to break that down even
more so if you think okay my time is
worth twenty dollars an hour you could
technically spend four hours just to get
one person on the software if you think
your time is worth ten dollars an hour
you can spend a whole freaking day eight
hours just to get one person on the
software okay that's not that hard it's
really not really really not so the only
bad thing that people don't really get
is it typically doesn't work like that
like you can't just go spend eight hours
or four hours your time and get two or
three people like it's not that
consistent we're like a job you just go
work for a couple hours and get money
online it's usually like this she'll be
flat flat flat and then it grows and
then all sudden you're way up here so it
doesn't work like you're just like it's
not just steady like put this much time
in and get this much out doesn't work
like that at all so although it can okay
it can work like that but it's usually
more like this gay you spend a couple
months and get no sales at all okay your
game discourage your game this doesn't
work that's why that's why a lot of
people fail but you know after those
couple months it will start to get
easier and eventually only a couple
minutes of work will get you 10 new
sales a day okay you know once you build
up a huge email list or you're just
figuring out a better system you get
super good to add stuff like that okay
so you know they
retargeting lists for your
advertisements stuff like that so you
know it's all about scale online so
that's kind of why you gotta think about
the first few sales the first few months
don't expect one sale at all okay just
you know keep doing your thing and you
know don't worry about short-term money
short term money really means nothing at
all you want to build a real business
out of this so that's for residual
income so that's how you kind of go
about that okay so let's talk about one
time panel offers Kay
so what one-time payouts are is
basically when you send someone to buy
some type of physical product or a
digital product right so the benefit of
the one-time pail offers versus the
residual income is one you can usually
find higher payout for the one-time
payouts because you know they're not
gonna pay you every month so they're
gonna give you a higher Commission right
unless it's a physical product because
physical products have way lower profit
margins versus digital products and like
software companies and stuff like that
so they're not gonna be able to pay you
as much so he's those early anywhere
from 5% to 30% and buy so then the
second advantage and this is a huge one
of the one-time pal offers is there's
way way way way way more stuff that you
can promote with one-time pal
so you know so not every niche has a
residual income pal offer so there's
like you're kind of limited when you're
doing residual stuff you know it's not
just in the Entrepreneurship nice I do
one of them in the Entrepreneurship nice
but there's multiple different products
that you can promote that have residual
income pay offers so you just gotta kind
of do your research and look at that but
so the disadvantage of the one-time
payout is you know you're not getting
paid every month you constantly have to
find new people to buy new products so
that's the only disadvantage you really
have but you know the big advantage is
there's there's you know just way more
stuff you can brought with one time pals
right alright so now that gave you like
the benefits and disadvantages you're
probably thinking okay which one should
I do okay so what I would say is
is you want to mix your affiliate
business K you want to do both residual
offers and one-time pale offers for the
maximum reward right so you know if your
traffic source goes away for the
one-time payout your residuals still
paying you every single month so I have
residual offers that pay me like twenty
five hundred a month and I really don't
have to do anything at all like I still
work on them because I want to get more
but if I wanted to I could take three
months off and literally still make
twenty five hundred months as long as
people stay on right so that's kind of
how it works for that so you kind of you
really want to mix it up and you know go
go explore you the different niches and
see what kind of offers there is and
really do your research but I will say
you know having residual income from
Philly marketing you know it's amazing
like you really don't have to do
anything at all but you know is it it
isn't the only option since it really
limits what niches and content you can
put out right so you you really just
wanted your research it just really
depends on the niche and what kind of
content you're putting out and if you
can find residual payouts that are you
know it's a good offer in your niche
then freaking do it it's like literally
amazing so it just really comes down to
that right but I would try to do both
and you know really research your niche
to find good offers as I said before
right so that's kind of wraps up this
