if you want to close deals you must talk
in terms of the other person's interests
you I can't believe how many people kill
they talk about what they can offer
right you hear this all the time in
business deals relationships you know
friendships right this applies to every
facet in life not just business but
relationships as well and if you start
talking about yourself the first thing
in the conversation I guarantee the
other person is not gonna you know close
a deal with you they're not gonna listen
to you and it's gonna be a short
conversation
okay so always get to know the person
ask them questions what do they like
what do they need how is their business
doing right if it's you're trying to you
know maybe go out on a date with this
person and really like close this
relationship up you know ask them about
themselves what do they see themselves
doing in five years you know do they see
themselves traveling you know going
after their dreams and aspirations right
or if it's a business deal where is
their work and their business improve
where they seem kind of downfalls in
their business and then you can offer
maybe some assistance in those pitfalls
when you after you hear them out okay so
talk in the other person's interest
always ask them questions first seek to
understand before being understood right

Habits of Highly Effective People and
it's such an important principle that
not many people implement right because
us humans we want to talk about
ourselves right so if you can excite
that in someone else
let them talk about themselves I
guarantee they're gonna listen to your
proposal
