so you're thinking about giving up
throwing in the towel and moving on to
the next opportunity right and this is
something that comes up very often from
a lot of people that I converse with
through the Instagram DMS or just
Facebook messages or whatever an email I
get from students who are trying to
learn affiliate marketing right and
maybe after three months they come up to
me and they say you know what Ryan I
I've done affiliate marketing and I've
only you know I've only made a couple
hundred bucks and I'm thinking about
maybe what's the next opportunity do you
you think Amazon FBA or social media
marketing is a good idea maybe I should
start a personal brand right and I want
you if you're one of these people who
have maybe you're just thinking about
moving on to the next thing because
you're not making as much as you'd like
in whatever it is right if you're making
at least one dollar with affiliate
marketing then you know how to make a
dollar right so it's just a matter of
scale from there I want you to think
about something that when you were
younger that you learned maybe it was a
sport you played if you played soccer or
football or whatever gymnastics it could
have been anything I want you to think
how long it took you to actually learn
how to do the sport right to play soccer
like to actually kick the ball and run
just those two simple things and then
how long it took you to be at actually
good at competing in that sport right
maybe you didn't even play a sport let's
go back to let's go back to when you're
a baby right and you're learning how to
walk right you probably crawled for the
first year two three years of your life
before you learn how to walk right but
the only difference invariable is when
you're a baby you weren't thinking it
was just like you're crawling and you
try to stand up and you eat and
then you you just get back up and you
try it over and over and over again
because you're not thinking right you're
not thinking you're not overthinking and
you're not comparing yourself to other
people right when you're a baby you're
not comparing yourself to other babies
that are maybe learning how to walk
right you're just you're on your own
journey so if you can apply those same
principles
- your journey and entrepreneurship it
would work out a lot better right it
would work out a lot better and this is
something that I saw throughout my
journey is that you know I would commit
to one thing at a time and really learn
how to scale that of course some people
have success faster than others which is
fine you have to live your own journey
I'm sure there's people out there that
had way more success than me in a
shorter amount of time maybe what seemed
like overnight right and I'm still in my
journey of entrepreneurship I'm only one
year and nine months in okay one year
nine months that's nothing that is I'm
just scratching the surface of mastery
right mastery is you know seven to ten
years out I mean if that right if I look
at if I go back and look at how long did
it take me to become a fairly elite
level of motocross racer right I used to
race motocross and compete I was a
sponsored rider back in the day when I
look at the journey of when I was
learning how to ride when I was nine
years old when I was just learning how
to get on a dirt bike and you know twist
the throttle and learn you know how to
turn the bike and just simple things how
to shift gears when I look at how long
it took me from when I was nine years
old to becoming an elite motocross racer
it took me a good seven years before I
got to that point okay seven years
multiply that seven times let's just say
ten years because I raced for ten years
multiply that by 365 right like three
three thousand six hundred fifty days of
riding and I'm not saying that I wrote
every single day which I didn't it's
gonna take a while it's gonna take a
while for you to master something and
become great at something so commit to
one thing and get that down right of
course entrepreneurship and online
businesses is very broad right you can
be good at you know I've I've multiple
streams of income whether it's affiliate
marketing my personal brand you know
programs digital programs that I sell
whether it's you know investing in the
stock market or real estate it there's
different levels of income but I learned
how to master one at least semi master
and be able to at least generate a
couple thousand dollars from that
business stream before I moved on to the
next so I want to encourage you that you
know it might take you it might take you
one month it might take you one year it
might take you five years before you see
any level of success that you imagine
right because success is defined in your
own eyes whatever success is to you it
could be just being able to not work a
nine-to-five and be able to work from
home right that was my first level of
success like if I can achieve enough
income generate enough income online to
not be able to you know not have to work
a nine-to-five that was success to me
right which it still is it still is
obviously those goals change but think
about what it is that you want to
achieve right now and work diligently
and religiously to get to that goal
before you move on to the next thing
because I guarantee you if you're if
you're jumping around from affiliate
marketing to drop shipping to Amazon FBA
to social media marketing of personal
branding to you know investing in an ATM
machine or are doing all these different
things like you're never gonna be able
to master one and reap the fruits of
that labor right so think about how long
it takes to master something think about
how long it took you to master something
when you were younger whether it was
like just getting a C right just passing
a class now it's pretty hot in here in
the car but just think about that like
how long did it take you to learn and
apply those principles to even pass a
class like that was hard enough for me
to just pass a class in high school or
middle school or even college right to
few years to the years of learning of
studying of you know being able to apply
what you learned in class right it's the
same thing with entrepreneurship
you have to be willing to put in the
work for a long amount of time in order
to see that success and not jump around
to multiple different things okay when
you jump around to multiple different
things and you haven't even made a
dollar in one you're never gonna see
success so stick with one if you can
make a dollar you can make a thousand
you can make a hundred thousand it's all
about scale
so consider a dollar win I would
consider your first dollar an
entrepreneurship a win because if you
can make a dollar you could get one
someone to hand you a piece of paper
write monetary value in exchange for the
value you provide you could you can
scale that up okay because that's the
hardest part making a million is not as
hard as making your first hundred
thousand I can guarantee that so yeah
