FACEBOOK ADS FOR AFFILIATE MARKETING Step-by-Step (2019)



hey what's going on guys Alice here with
money's awesome and in this video I'm
going to show you how to create Facebook
ads campaign for affiliate marketing
this video is mainly for beginners for
people who are not very well familiar
with Facebook ads and I'm not sure which
settings to choose how to go through
this whole Facebook Ads campaign set up
and I will walk you through from the
very beginning of starting a brand new
campaign in Facebook Ads until the very
end and during this whole process I will
be commenting and explaining why I'm
choosing this and not that and what are
other options that you can go with and
so on so forth so if you need to
Facebook ads I'm sure you will find this

now without further ado let's get right
to it so this is my ads manager as you
can see one important thing that I want
to say right away that is better to
create your business manager first of
all business manager you have to go to
business Facebook comm and create your
business manager because business
manager it's not just as manager because
you can access as manager with your
personal account without creating
actually business manager but view as
manager of your personal account is
quite limited I'm not going to walk you
through the creation of a business
manager and your as accounts because you
know it's pretty much straightforward
you just need to follow through the
setup process they made it really easy
for like really really beginner friendly
and you fill out your profile as well
your payment settings as well and after
that you just go to as manager right
here out of all these tools available
here you just go to as manager and
you're right here so I picked one of the
accounts one of the add accounts that I
have and this account I used to use you
probably have seen this account in my
case study that have published on my
youtube channel so when you arrive to
your ad account you just click create
and right here you will have
options this is the guided creation with
all these settings in this kind of form
and you can click switch to quick
creation right there and it will be like
that I'm starting with quick creation
these days but I believe just for the
sake of this tutorial
guided creation will make more sense to
you because everything will be in front
of you of your screen the very first
step that you have to do you have to
pick an objective of your ad campaign is
extremely important depending on which
campaign objective you pick Facebook
will optimize your ad in the different
ways just to give you an example if you
choose for example video views campaign
then first of all you will be able to
only upload video as as your creative as
your ad creative you will not be able to
create single image as your ad creative
and obviously Facebook will be
optimizing your ad campaign to get as
many video views as possible another
example if you choose engagement then
you can choose any kind of creative and
Facebook will be showing you add to the
people that are more likely to engage
like hit like comment share and so on so
forth and traffic obviously if you want
to drive traffic to your website to your
lang landing page then Facebook will be
showing your ads to people that are more
likely to click your ad link and go to
your website so which Facebook ad
campaign objective is better to choose
when we are talking about affiliate
marketing first of all I want to say to
you that when we are talking about
affiliate marketing with Facebook Ads
then you have to have an image in your
head that you are not allowed to drive
direct traffic from Facebook Ads
to affiliate offer it's it's like it has
to be erased from your brain it has to
be erased from your reality it's a
direct way how you can get your Facebook
ad account
banned right away after starting your
campaign and even before that most
likely your ad campaign will not get
approved because Facebook doesn't like
when you promote direct affiliate offers
there are some exceptions but you will
not be able to define whether or not
it's safe to run the ads directly to the
offer or not so it's better to avoid
that from the very beginning what image
you have to have and you have in your
head in your brain is Facebook Ads your
bridge page the offer the breach page it
can be the bridge page where people will
have to just click on the button or on a
link and get redirected to your
affiliate offer for a better option a
bridge page has to be an opt-in page
where you collect leads you collect
emails you build your email list and
after your visitors of your landing page
subscribe to your email list you then
promote affiliate offers to them this
way you will be able to promote multiple
offers and stay safe with Facebook ads
and this way it will be easier to to
become positive in ry-ry is written a
return on investment so getting back to
Facebook ads campaign objective for
affiliate marketing now that we know
that we're going to drive traffic to our
opt-in page to collect emails to collect
leads first before before redirecting
them to the affiliate offer now we know
what we need to do and in this case

conversions leads so a lot of people

really well only and only when you have
at least 50 conversions within the last
seven days if you have less than 50
conversions over the last seven days
then conversions
will not work as intended so for this
you have to have bigger budget you have
to make sure that you are creating more
than 50 conversions every single week if
you have less than that if you're just a
beginner if you're just starting out
then I recommend you to go with traffic
because traffic works really well when
done right because there is one little
trick that I'm going to show you down
the road in this very video but a lot of
people kind of neglect it and they think
the traffic is a rubbish type of
objective but when you do that little
trick on the next stage of creating
campaign then traffic objective works
just fine and what you can do you can
start with traffic campaign when you
start getting 50 conversions per week
then you can create another campaign
with conversions and test it out and see
which one brings you cheaper leads and
better results so let's start with
traffic campaign right here we have to
name the campaign I'm gonna put money's
awesome affiliate marketing course I
will do this tutorial on my affiliate
marketing course as an example then
click continue and right here in asset
it's where we choose targeting well
which is targeting and the budget and a
lot of different options in a set name
what you can do you can click right
there and add what information to
include as a name then let's continue
where you want to drive your traffic to
it's going to be a website in my case
because I have a landing page opt-in
page where I'm going to drive traffic to
now audience what audience we want to
create there are multiple all sorts of
different options how you can target
your audience the best way is to target
local like audience or custom audience
is basically audiences built on your
followings followers or least you know
if you have Facebook page Facebook group
if you have Instagram account with
followers if you have
email lists then you can create a custom
audience and use that but since we
assume that you're a beginner and you
don't have followers let's just go
through and create a brand new audience
first of all I recommend you to big
country for example if it's English
english-speaking countries then we are
going to choose or obviously United
States then United Kingdom then New
Zealand Australia so these are the moon
the main ones but they are the most
expensive ones as well I recommend you
to create each add set kind of
separately and to target each country
and see which one converts better which
one converts cheaper as well very
important thing you don't want to choose
everyone in this vacation because they
will target all the tourists that don't
even speak English and and so on so
forth so I recommend you to choose
people who live in this location another
thing is to choose language as well and
choose English because for example in
the United States there are a lot of
Spanish speakers and people who don't
speak English very well so it might not
be your target target audience right
here age I recommend you to choose maybe
23 plus or maybe even 25 plus mainly
because people younger than 25 years
they don't work they don't generate
income and they don't have enough money
to spend on your products so in our case
it will be make money online niche or
business opportunity can I feel at
marketing I will be promoting my
affiliate marketing course so 25 plus is
the minimum ideally it might be probably
even 30 plus or 35 plus because people
already have enough income to invest
into expensive products but they and at
the same time they are not really happy
with their job and they are looking for
business opportunities and to invest
their money and start learning something
new so maybe 35 plus will be even better
option but it also depends on your niche
if your niche is
for example less expensive products and
your niche is like let's say cooking or
something like that then 25 plus is just
fine then gender men and women I also
recommend you to split test and see
yourself which what is your main
audience and also see which one converts
better and not only converts into the
list but also converts into the sales
later on for now we're gonna keep them
together and see and just just to create
the campaign and now their interest so
one thing keep this tick off just like
right now don't click expand interests
and here you have to think what your
target audience is interested in for
example I will give you one really good
example of what you are not supposed to
do how these interest works for example
I know some marketers that were trying
to sell the Facebook ad services to
local businesses to dentists and they
were trying to talk people who are
potentially interested in dentist
services so they were they chose here as
interest dentist dentist dental practice
implants feeling and like all those kind
of dental newspapers dental kind of Club
everything about dental niche but if you
think this way for example each one of
us everybody goes to dentist everybody
do we have interest in dentistry do we
read dental articles dental magazines
watch TV shows read on the internet
about dentistry and about dental science
and all those techniques and and no we
don't it's outside our interest not
nobody is interested in dentistry unless
you are a dentist and if you are choose
if you chose interests as kind of
Dentistry and everything related to that
the only people that you will be
targeting will
dentists you have to keep this in mind
and think what people what your target
audience might have interested in so in
my case obviously if I will choose
affiliate marketing most likely it will
be my targeted audience because I want
people to be interested in affiliate
marketing because I'm providing
affiliate marketing course but in
addition to that or apart from that they
might be interested in business
opportunity work from home passive
income how to get rich and so on and so
forth I'm not going to go into the
details ideally you want to even target
for example to passive income one of the
most famous people related to passive
income online is Pat Flynn smart passive
income with Pat flip for example you can
target that person as well because
people who are interested in what Pat is
talking about and what products he's
selling they will be interested
potentially in what you are to promote
for example I'm promoting free affiliate
marketing course so it's pretty much the
same interest as what Pat Flynn teaches
another thing that I recommend you to do
is click browse right here and go
through each one of them each one of
them so that you have general
understanding of what people you can
target for example there is demographics
and based on education life events
relationship work job titles as well
interests as well and then behaviors and
you go through each one of them and see
yourself which one fits you better
because I'm not going to do these
detailed targeting right now because the
majority of my viewers of this tutorial
will not be in make money online niche
and there's no point to go deep inside
these targeting I'm just giving you the
idea of how I would target if I was to
run my Facebook ads who called audience
based on interest and targeting I never
recommend you to keep automatic
placements because Facebook
can put your ad in a weird places where
you don't want your ad to appear like in
some applications in some places that
you know you don't really know what kind
of audience is there what they're doing
and and so on
so I recommend you to by default as it
default starting option in the majority
of cases I recommend you to keep only
face book fees and remove everything
else so we're gonna keep adjust this
remove even Instagram remove audience
Network remove messenger this is a
default option that I recommend you to
start with but of course some niches
work way better on Instagram but as a
default option I recommend you to pick
Facebook feeds first of all and then you
can try out all the different kind of
placements and see yourself the results
okay that means the device type and you
have two options mobile devices and
desktop desktop computers laptops and so
on mobile the
iPads and all the tablets is mobile
device as well what I want to say that
mobile devices tend to be cheaper but
for example if you're promoting a
two-hour webinar then mobile device
might not be the right option to you you
will be paying more expensive for
showing only to the desktop most likely
but not in all the cases but if you're
promoting webinar and you want to and
you want your audience to start washing
webinar right after they subscribe or to
watch a video kind of long video then I
recommend you to promote to desktop
maybe desktop only but if you're
collecting leads and then you're
promoting just through the sending
emails I can email sequence then mobile
devices only might be cheaper option to
you we're gonna keep it all together for
this time but you decide yourself also
it's a wise option to split test and see
yourself which converts better and which
is cheaper for you and again if you're
promoting V
for example the people have to watch but
you're talking targeting only mobile
devices then you might want to choose
this option only when connected to Wi-Fi
so that people are not worried about
their data usage when they're watching
the video and they have better tend to
have better connection one that
connected to Wi-Fi so they or you know
it means that they are sitting waiting
for something maybe they drinking coffee
in Starbucks or maybe they're waiting
for the airplane in the airport and they
have some time to spend on washing your
meteor so that might be a smart option
too
okay this is the trick that I was
talking about at the beginning of this
video that people who say that traffic
campaign does not work or brings trash
traffic they miss this option they just
don't know the difference I recommend
you to always choose landing page views
the thing is that between the click and
viewing landing page there is a huge
difference
I let me explain there are a lot of
people who click the link and Facebook
will be showing that ad to people who
are clicking the link but they don't
have patience to wait for one second for
landing page to load and they don't
really reach to that landing page so
they're impatient they I don't know they
have OCD or like whatever I'm not I'm
not stating I'm just assuming and what
can happen if you choose link clicks it
may happen that you will have 50 clicks
and only I don't 20 landing page views
so imagine 50 people clicked on the on
your ad and only 20 of them viewed your
landing page the clicks come out cheaper
but the outcome pretty low so I always
choose landing page views the majority
of people who are clicking the link they
actually wait for landing page to load
and therefore there is a high chance
that they will opt in if they like the
content that I'm providing so then the
next the budget I
recommend you to start with $5 is
totally fine
the better the the the more the better
but if you are a beginner even if you
have high budget I still recommend you
to start with $5 maybe you want to test
out different setups for example one had
said targeting only males in other asset
targeting only females and each one of
them will be spending five dollars but
yeah five dollars per asset at the
beginning is totally fine and I
recommend to the to start with that so
right here on the right you can see that
our potential reach is three million two
thousand two hundred thousand people is
our audience that we chose I have to say
that you don't want to target too narrow
audience everything over over five
hundred thousand
it's fine even 500 thousand maybe is not
that wide broad audience enough not not
enough so the higher the better because
Facebook is quite smart and Facebook
likes big audiences so this audience
size is perfect for me is just perfect
even if it was ten million people I
still like kind of targeted 10 million
people
I still would consider as a good option
what I wouldn't consider a good option
if I had 10,000 people that would be the
worst because it would be extremely
expensive and inefficient in ineffective
reach is how many people would see you
ad daily on average by estimates over
Facebook and how many people would click
on your ad of course it may vary
depending on your ad depending on ya how
relevant you had will be to the audience
that you targeted but on average
Facebook estimates that you would be
getting for this budget with this
audience with the rest of the options
targeting and placements and so on
Facebook estimates that you would be
getting five to thirty to three
clicks now that's it right here we said
our asset we press Continue right here
we also have to create a name for our ad
and I recommend you to generate minimum
five different ads to start with to test
them out and see which one get better
reaction of your audience for example if
you are creating one ad can be a single
image on-air can be video another ad can
be slideshow but even if you're creating
only image then you want to create five
different ads with five different images
because in my personal experience it
doesn't matter how much I would be sure
that this particular image would win and
generate better reaction from the
audience in most cases I was wrong and
something else was getting better
traction with my audience had name well
what you can do you can for example name
even like that copy one had pick one
then another ad can be copy one peek -
for example if we have to add copies to
text for example one short one and one
long one then we want to create five
different as with short copy for example
short copy it's copy one and five
different images and then create five
more ads for example copy - it's a long
copy and five of the same images with
this long copy so you get the idea right
here on this stage you have to have your
Facebook page already set up in case if
you still don't have your page set up
then you can click create a Facebook
page it doesn't really matter if you
will have likes or not maybe because of
the running of these as you will get
some likes as I told you before that I
have only about 55 56 likes and I still
was running Facebook ads pretty
successfully so it doesn't really matter
but you have to set up the page to put
the header of the page the description
and you know fill out all the details so
the people who go to your page they
would see the description what your
project is all about now let's move on
and right here you have to choose a
format of your add the basic option is
single image or video I recommend you to
start with this there are some websites
with free stock images like pixabay or
pixels you can take an image from there
but Facebook has a contract with a stock
image account remember I stock or
something like that where you can
basically choose a stock image from that
selection of the images right here right
now and I will show you in a second how
you can do that if you can create a
video is even better you can run a video
ad in many cases is cheaper than image
but not always right here if you have
your own image to upload them you can
browse library and upload your own image
or you can use free stock image one
thing I want to mention that when you
are choosing stock image then you will
see kind of watermarks on top of the
image they will disappear as soon as you
launch your campaign so you don't have
to pay attention to that so we choose
the image and now we have to put the
copy with the copy with the text with
the title with all these things that you
are kind of promising you have to be
really careful I highly recommend you to
read there as policy thoroughly very
carefully and with a lot of attention
with your full attention now I'm not
going to create an app copy because it
has to be original there are a lot of
different ad copy examples you can even
you know when you're scrolling down
through your Facebook feeds just pay
attention to the ads and see yourself
what ads copies attract your attention
and
seem to you as engaging just pay
attention to that and eventually you
will find out the ad copy style that you
would like to test and again you can
test different ad copies and find the
one that works best for you you can also
Google for example in your niche and
there you will find a lot of different
ads or even find on YouTube or in other
resources there are a lot of Facebook
ads examples and you can just get the
idea get the inspiration there to create
them your own original copy as to the
pixel well I'm not going to cover in
this video because it's another topic
quite complicated because you have to
set it up you have to install to your
landing page builder you have to you
know you have to understand how it works
and maybe I will shoot another video and
tell you about that for now we just
press confirm button and that's it then
we wait until our ad is approved as soon
as it's approved you will get the
notification and your ads will be live
now that's it guys this video actually
came out a little bit longer than I
expected but I tried to cover every
single detail that I considered
