Habit #2: Begin With The End In Mind - Stephen Covey

you must begin with the end in mind that
now this is a habit from the seven
Habits of Highly Effective People
written by Stephen Covey one of the most
influential books in my life that I've
ever read and I highly recommend it if
you want to pick up that book but he
says begin with the end in mind and what
does this mean well when we don't have a
vision of the outcome that we want then
technically we're sailing in open waters
without a map right and no one would go
out and on a sailboat without some type
of GPS coordination or map you might get
lost in the middle of the sea right and
the same applies with your life with
business with success whatever facet you
want that in whether it be health wealth
love and happiness you must begin with
the end of mine and have that outcome in
your vision because when I whenever I do
something right I have an intent behind
it there is an intent that I want this
desired outcome right I don't let that
intent overwhelm the things that I'm
doing like if I'm trying to make money
you know money or I'm trying to sell
this number of consulting services I'm
not like hyper focus that oh I need to
sell this many but I have the intent
that hey the goal is to sell this money
so we're just gonna work at it until we
get that many done and that's it right
so you must apply that into your mind
begin with the end in mind what is your
desired outcome what do you want out of
every action that you take you see a lot
of people out there kind of just you
know flowing with the wind as we would
call it right flowing with the wind and
just taking advice from other people
taking advice from you know multiple
different mentors and not focusing on
one set vision they have no one set
outcome that they want they're just kind
of drifting in the wind
right and you can never be successful
with that type of mindset you have to
begin with the end in mind so if you did
enjoy this talk definitely
seven Habits of Highly Effective People
by Stephen Covey that's the first book
that I recommend to everyone getting
into self-development or
entrepreneurship or you know success in
general you have to have those
principles that he talks about in the
book one of them being again with the
end in mind
