affiliate marketer and once a student of
mine and now I would consider Anthony a
mentor of mine with affiliate marketing
but what's up Anthony how are you doing
great man loving the Cali weather down
here as you guys can see the beautiful
view right behind us but yeah it's uh
it's different I'm actually from st.
Louis Missouri so you know shout out to
anyone from st. Louis or in the winter
states right now because before I flew
out to Cali
doing some collaborations and working on
some projects but before flying out here
I escaped a winter storm right when we
got on the plane they had a DI so it
took a whole hour and it was a nightmare
to get started but yeah I'm happy to be
out here in Cali you know shout out to
everyone from this area too and um yeah
happy to be on Bryan's channel and
bringing Ryan on my channel also so you
know spread the word and Ryan has
different potential that for example
personal branding and expert in launches
and there's a bunch that we're gonna go
into though but yeah happy to be on here
and appreciate you bringing me on
awesome Thank You Anthony so yeah guys
you're gonna want to tune in for this
and we're gonna share our struggles
we're gonna share anthony's stories well
and how he went last year from working a
construction job and he was just telling
me a story the other day that you know
he literally almost fell off a building
it's so pretty crazy stuff that Anthony
had to go through with his job and you
know from going from that to now a
full-time affiliate marketer super
affiliate making great income and
enjoying that laptop lifestyle so yeah
Anthony let's go ahead and dive into
this like what how did you how did this
all come about like how did you grow up
were you into learning about new things
like entrepreneurship or like huh what
was your childhood like let's start
there yeah a great question so you know
a lot of people who do entrepreneurship
and you know they they have this
misconception that you have a successful
know successful in online business but
for me it wasn't like that you know I
went to school I went
to high school and like most people you
don't really know what you want to do I
don't come from a rich background or a
family of wealth you know like anybody
you struggle but as a family you
struggle but you know you get you do
better and um but anyway so that's when
guys to know that you know a lot of
people who get started in
entrepreneurship they don't come from
much so you know big shout out to you
know and even if you do have something
to get started with you know that's
awesome too but you know a lot of people
who do start online businesses don't
start with much you know maybe a hundred
bucks
couple hundred bucks but the biggest
thing for me was noticing that so when I
first graduated high school I would ask
myself I would say I want to do a job
that pays me the most money but then
ironically I was actually going for I
wanted to go to a community college it
was gonna be cheaper and then I wanted
to go for a criminal justice and I went
to go get the college tuition assistance
and I realized that I actually couldn't
get it because I didn't meet the
deadline so then I thought like you know
damn like what am I gonna do now so then
I'm like well maybe I'll do a trade
that's in demand a high income skill set
and that ended up being construction and
welding so then fast forward I decided
to go with that you know in the mean
time a lot of people always say to me
how can I get started in online business
I don't have any money to get started
but for me I was just working non-stop
you know work ten hours get off work on
my computer for you know four or five
hours you know like everybody you get
the shiny object syndrome so I tried
Amazon
I tried affiliate marketing I tried a
bunch of different business models to
find what really worked for me but you
know long story short so then I finally
realized during the construction you
know I had a couple close calls whenever
you do construction you know it's it's
physically demanding so you can only
make so much money between that time
when you get up at 6 a.m. and you get
home by 6 p.m. and by the end of the day
you're beat you know your body you know
starts where on you and tear on you so
overtime you you're only gonna make so
much money and you're going to
about so I started to realize also too
if you guys you know are out there in
the job world now no job is safe by the
way so that's one thing you have to
realize so even construction I mean you
could work a ton of overtime but still
not have a job tomorrow and that's what
happened with me
you know I got laid off got behind on
bills and the struggle was real you know
using one credit card to pay off the
next credit card just to play catch-up
but never really catch up so that's how
I really got started it gave me that you
know a lot of people don't tap into that
entrepreneur mindset and take it serious
and so they get into that pinch point
like that I was in that's why I like to
try to inspire people to start before
you ever get to the point where you're
at rock bottom and trying to climb back
up and that's the biggest thing I would
tell people you know get started but
also when you get started you know make
sure you're working and you have money
coming in to fund the online business
but yeah feel free to ask so yeah and to
touch on what you were saying Anthony I
think a lot of people have that shiny
object syndrome which is fine because at
first I think you need to try different
things and make sure that hey is this is
what I want to do for the rest of my
life or is this something that can
transform into something even bigger and
you know you know just hearing your
story of how you tried Amazon then you
try to affiliate marketing and obviously
affiliate marketing was the one for you
so that's great man that's awesome to
hear so you said that someone should
have a kind of like something to
supplement their entrepreneurship at
first like and whether it's maybe a
part-time job or yeah how do you say a
percent yeah so I believe that you know
in order to start an online business yes
you can start with zero there's
different business models but you know
if I were to tell you today you know
start with zero you know you're not
gonna have much success and the only
reason being is that you're gonna have
tools around your business you know
restaurants don't open up and tell
people like you know come order food and
then you know once you order the food
we'll go to the grocery store and start
cooking for you so every business you
got to have something to supplement it
so I'll give you an example if you know
I don't want to make excuses and yeah
you know I don't expect other people to
make excuses but if I wasn't doing
construction to supplement meat you know
invest in myself to try to build that
high income skill set then you know I
would've drove over Boober or lift or
you know I would have did something
along those lines but you know
anything's better than nothing just to
get the ball rolling in the beginning
but yeah yeah I feel free to ask me any
questions for sure man for sure and and
to touch on that too I think it is
important to have something to
supplement you at first like for me for
instance you know I had my wife she just
got a job of course we had credit card
debt so I can't really say that we were
in a positive surplus because we did
have credit card debt but I knew that
you know what she was gonna be making
per month would be able to at least
cover some of the bills and you know not
get us too far in debt before I started
so but yeah no I totally agree with you
but one thing too is that I think that
some people they maybe get that
part-time job or get that nine-to-five
and maybe they get comfortable and
complacent so what do you say how do you
like how do you do both like how do you
start entrepreneurship but also not get
complacent in the part time money you're
making or maybe if it's a nine-to-five
like how do you apply yourself and know
okay I do have a day job but when I get
home I know that I'm I'm working on my
business and the reason I'm doing the
day job is to support the business like
how does one stay in that mindset
instead of saying well you know if the
business doesn't work at least I have my
day job
yeah so that's a great question so one
thing you have to remember that if
you're getting started in
entrepreneurship and you're starting an
online business no one really cares that
you are but a lot of people don't want
you to succeed and you know friends
maybe family maybe co-workers a lot of
them don't want you to succeed so you
know they may say oh you know you should
just stick to the day job you know
you'll have it you'll have a safe
foundation and that's the biggest issue
right there is trying to play safe and
you know if you have a family you have
kids you have people you have to support
that's perfect you know keep working but
what you want to do is try to make you
know even more than what you're making
at your current job so for me personally
what it was for me was that one was job
security so for me the first thing was
job security I knew that if I had worked
nine-to-five I was only gonna cap out at
a certain pay scale but then the biggest
fear was being laid off or actually not
having you know income coming in you
know a lot of people will tell you to
you know we'll save that rainy day fund
well once that you know what if you have
a rainy day that comes in that rainy day
fund drives dries out you're gonna be
burning those credit cards up so with
that being said you want to start
building that high income skill set like
I said in the beginning and now whether
that means Amazon or affiliate marketing
or social media marketing and when you
start to get into the you know
nine-to-five life and you start working
you start to realize that your
co-workers you know you're gonna be
working with lifers then I worked with a
lot of lifers and I have a lot of
friends who are lifers in and I respect
them for that you know you know we need
people in the workforce who have certain
income skill sets that you know can get
those projects done and get those jobs
done but the real question you ask that
you have to ask yourself right now am I
happy where I'm at and that was the
biggest thing for me because I wasn't
happy where I was at you know I would
get up at 6:00 a.m. it was about an hour
to drive to work you know work all day
and one of the big you know I missed the
people I worked with which is like the
biggest thing you'll meet some great
people out there but you know are you
happy doing that every day could you see
yourself doing that the next
sixty years or seven years and for me I
couldn't see myself doing that the next
seven years because you know I don't
have any kids but you know in the future
I want to have time to where you know I
could go to a kids baseball game or
family members games and you know I see
a lot of people when I was working that
you know they have kids they were
missing their kids first games and
graduations I mean oh and they were
working side by side with me and I was
watching this and it kind of made I
thought bad for their you know their
family and their kids because you know
one they they're in the position to
where they're comfortable with the job
and then when they're comfortable with
the job they you know they get compliant
and they don't want to leave and then
when they don't want to leave they
missed our family events and just miss
those moments you're never gonna get
back I mean you could be a millionaire
and not have any time but you want to
make sure you have that time and that
lifestyle that you want and the last
thing just so you don't get compliant
yeah you know think about what your
goals are so for me my goal would be to
you know one travel as you can see the
beautiful background but all of this
doesn't matter to me my real goal is to
help people so like my family like my
family didn't come from like a
background to where we travel to Hawaii
where we travel to New York or
California or Europe so Mike one of my
goals is to eventually you know fly out
my whole family on a vacation give them
something they had never seen before so
you know ask yourself that you know
maybe the money you're not in it for the
money but maybe you're in it for our
legacy to you know help your kids or
help your family or you know help others
in general and that's what it is for me
is to you know put myself in a position
to where I have passive income coming in
I live my dreams but I'm also able to
help friends and family at the same time
yeah man yeah that that was that was
really impactful what Anthony just said
because I think it comes down to exactly
what he said you have to have that
conversation with yourself like what is
it do you want out of life and if it
isn't what you're currently living then
you need to quit and go towards that
thing that you want out of life right
like it's funny because one of my
mentors would always say to me she was
like if you don't like it
then quit right and that was it's such a
hard thing to do it's such a hard like
realization and in terms to come with
because you're so attached to what you
currently have right because you're
thinking out of scarcity or thinking of
like well what if this doesn't work
right but when you think out of
abundance like no it's going to work I'm
gonna make it work no matter what then
you start having these better
conversations with yourself and saying
like men I really am not happy what with
what I'm doing and I feel you I drove
you know two and a half hours to work
and then two and a half hours back so I
spent five hours in my car literally
just thinking about this kind of stuff
dude so it's crazy bad it's crazy it's
crazy to see Anthony's journey so now
that we've kind of talked about the
background of his struggles and kind of
like his mindset behind you know getting
into entrepreneurship let's talk about
affiliate marketing and kind of the the
you know the great things that you've
done with affiliate marketing the impact
you've made on not only your own your
own income your family but also others
so how how did you do that like how did
you go from making $0 with affiliate
marketing to making you know sometimes
50,000 plus per month yeah so the
biggest secret to you know going from $0
to 50k plus in a month with affiliate
marketing is you have to be willing to
test and then it comes back to the
beginning to having that ad budget
because you know I've been in the red a
couple months like when I very first got
started I had some success I've had
failures but the biggest thing is
choosing that niche so for me so let's
just say your niche is health and you
want to promote health offers well you
know you may be spending you know 20 40
dollars a day on ads but not getting any
results and then at the same token you
may be using cook funnels to run your
business or another website builder to
have your all your information on the
website you may be but collecting emails
like all of us gurus tell you collect
emails build that list but even though
you're doing that you may not be making
money at the same time so moving forward
what I would say is to if you want to
get to that goal of 20k 50k and even if
it's just like 3,000 bucks a month
profit if that's all you want to make
what I would recommend is choose that
niche so let's just say it's health but
be willing to test and what you want to
be doing is tracking so every day that
you buy data on Facebook or Google or
being that you spend that thirty dollars
you're getting one step closer to
cracking that campaign and that's
exactly what I did I kept spending and
spending I kept finding out what didn't
work on what did work and all it takes
is one day and what and it's I'm serious
like it all it takes is one day and all
that money you spent testing you make
right back and you know a lot of people
who have never cracked the campaign to
make them you know double their money
back or triple their money back it's
hard to believe but you just have to
begin with the end in mind and know that
once you crack that campaign that you
know it's it's everything's gonna be
fine so that's the biggest thing is you
know be willing to test and be willing
to invest in your campaigns but also not
giving up because there's been times
I've also gave up on my campaigns where
I thought it was never gonna work I
thought I was just gonna keep losing
money and then what I did for me
personally is that one I invested in
more training and mentorship but then
also I just kept working and eventually
cracked the code on the niche and then
figured out a strategy that I could just
replicate every single time from scratch
so that's what you got to do is you know
and document one last note I'll leave
that on is document write down what's
working and what didn't work because
what works right now probably won't work
in six months but you could probably
take some lessons learn from today six
months from now that you could still
implement that you may try to take away
so and that's one thing that happened to
me about you know eight months ago I
would run a certain way I would target a
certain way and you know I try to change
completely over time and it's
interesting like today I went back to
like different strategies and it just
works but yeah I hope you know as you
guys were watching this ooh you're
getting a ton of value because the whole
point of like filming and like showing
these type of videos it's just one
motivate people to take action that you
know go back to my very first youtube
video go back to Ryan's very first
youtube video you see that you know a
lot of us entrepreneurs start from
nothing and then build something and
for me I found Ryan when Ryan had
roughly three thousand YouTube
subscribers so like right early in the
beginning and his partners and like
everyone in the circle and one biggest
thing that I told myself is one I need
to surround myself with like-minded
individuals so a lot of my friends in
real life none of them do
you know internet marketing none of them
run ads or none of them do that so you
know start surrounding yourself with
people that you know you want to work
with potentially but also then you know
surround yourself with those five
closest people who are successful so you
know don't surround yourself with you
know someone who's just talking about
you know yeah like so yes yeah someone
just talking about like you know when's
the next best party you know surround
someone talking about like how can I
make my next thousand plus profit like
join Facebook groups join communities
you know comment on YouTube channels
engage with other people and also our
friend them you know ask them questions
and also one last note on that is be
willing to give value when you're also
reaching out to people I'll give you an
example one person reached out to me and
he had said Anthony I would love to
learn from you you know I don't low on
funds I'm still working I'm saving up
but what can I do for you
he said I can build your websites I
understand WordPress and coding and a
lot of stuff that a lot of the real
techy stuff that I won't get into but he
messaged me first and was willing to
give me value before asking me for
anything so that to me I really
respected that so yeah just be willing
to give value to people in the community
and also helpful people so one key thing
I got out of that too was I want to ask
you this quickly for the youtube viewers
or for anyone listening to this whether
it's on a podcast or YouTube how much
have you invested in your self education
this year alone
this year probably I'm probably at forty
five forty thousand guys gals forty five
thousand dollars that he invested back
in himself in his knowledge that's a
huge he definitely you know outpaces me
there and this is something that I'm you
know working on currently so it
definitely helps to reinvest in yourself
in your education to always be learning
because number one you're gonna learn
more strategies you're going to get more
golden nuggets and number two that
information and knowledge can't be taken
away from you so thank you for sharing
that figure that number figure let's
let's end this with I want to ask you
something technical so maybe if someone
came here first I'm like okay give me
some give me some technical value here
or maybe a golden nugget like what right
now is working with affiliate marketing
or marketing in general whether it be
with Facebook ads or Google Ads or Bing
ads so what's working right now to end
this off is messenger BOTS you know in
the market there's always going to be
trends you know there's different
strategies that you can implement but
messenger BOTS I mean the open rates are
insane and I'll tell you guys our
strategy you can implement right now so
if you're running Bing ads and you're
promoting a weight loss product put a
pic pixel on it a Facebook pixel and
then as you're running people are typing
the sender going to Google they're going
to Yahoo on how to lose weight fast and
that keyword they're gonna land on your
website and then all you do is you
retarget them on Facebook with a cookie
and then also what we can do is run
messenger campaign so maybe they don't
buy but they go to the affiliate offer
we set up a retargeting campaign and
boom and the messenger says like hey
message us for 50% off we saw that
you're interested send us a message to
get your coupon well one they send you a
message so now they're in your chat bot
to you can send them to a squeeze page
and then collect that email if you
didn't collect it the first time or you
could just send them to the affiliate
offer but now you're building up a fan
page also you're building up messenger
subscribers that you can DM them
instantly so you can go to the broadcast
oxygen and imagine people are on their
cell phones all the day
I have my cell phone in my pocket right
now if someone sent me a broadcast with
Manny chat I'm gonna open it up and say
like oh who's sending me a message on
Facebook so if you're not doing it start
using messenger BOTS for your campaigns
and you know there's plenty of tools out
there there's chat BOTS there's mani
chat and there's a ton out there but do
some research and you'll find some of
the best ones actually use awesome man

some you know up-and-coming marketers
and entrepreneurs in the space so where

messenger BOTS for your personal brand
and even growing further but yeah that's
