hey this is Ryan Hildreth here with
Anthony Alfonso and today we're gonna
talk about how to easily get paid $3,000
or more per month from social media
marketing and the reason why I brought
on Anthony is because he doesn't
primarily do social media marketing he's
an affiliate marketer as you know but he
did have a client not too long ago a few
months ago and we want to talk about his
experience as someone who doesn't do
social media marketing you know full
time but and give her his perspective on
you know how how it was to have a client
you know after doing a lot of affiliate
marketing and then kind of you know
taking on a client on top of that and
then we're gonna give some perspectives
on like contracts you know how to land
clients that will actually pay you more
and you know we'll dive into kind of a
lot of stuff like that so Anthony let's
get this started man yeah so the reason
I wanted to you know test out more
social media marketing is because a lot
of people like reoccurring income so for
me you know an extra three to five
thousand a month charging a client is
ideal so one thing for me that I had
trouble with is if you take on a client
how do you how much time do you dedicate
towards that client so for me you know a
lot of people who want you to run their
social media marketing ads they
sometimes they don't look at you as a
business owner but they look at you more
as an employee so Ryan and I we
mastermind we exchanged a value and I
asked Ryan how do you decide on how much
time do you delicate towards a client's
account but yeah Ryan any thoughts on
that how much time you would do that
yeah so obviously you don't want to take
up all your time with one client
especially if you have a few clients or
you even have a day job maybe this is a
side gig just to generate an extra you
know 3,000 a month you have to be able
to delegate that time but also
communicate like hey I'm probably gonna
spend around you know myself 10 hours
but I am I have a team that's going to
help me with the work so obviously when
you do get paid
outsource some of that work too you know
freelancers on Fiverr up work build a
team and that's that's gonna be the
crucial part so you don't spend all your
time running Facebook Ads building their
social media and in doing all the
necessary work you can outsource some of
that work at a fraction of the cost so
fiber and up work are gonna be two sites
that are definitely gonna help you spend
less time working on clients so and you
know obviously once you build that team
you build that trust you can go back to
the same freelancers over and over and
over again so yeah oh yeah man I
appreciate it
another big thing is when you're getting
clients and you're taking on people for
me myself that you know I know that
social media marketing you can make a
lot of money but one thing I see a lot
of people doing is that they take on
clients also who don't have that monthly
budget to spend on that so for me when I
had took on some clients that were
paying me three to five thousand per
month just to run their Facebook ads now
that's what I did for them and I also
did some Google Ads but besides that now
taking on people who actually have a
budget to run their ads because one
thing that I see a lot of people do who
you know get started also is that they
take on someone who you know a monthly
retainer of 2,000 but they only have a
thousand to run on ad so if that's a do
or die business if they don't get leads
you know they may tell you they're going
out of business and you know they just
may be a conflict of a customer to take
on but on that note how do you decide on
a good price point for starting out on
charging for your services yeah so that
I guess that depends where you are in
your business if you're just getting
started maybe this is your first video
watching about social media marketing
you know you're like you know what I'm
gonna get some training on Facebook Ads
and I'm gonna open up an agency and get
my first client you know I wouldn't say
go out there and try to land a ten
thousand dollar client because that
might not be ideal for you or for them
in a in a situation where you know you
need some practice running your ads you
need some practice you know helping your
first client so I would say you know
start off no less than a thousand
because I do know
some people who are like well maybe I'll
just charge a couple hundred bucks right
that's not that's going to be a
disservice to you I would say a thousand
minimum maybe even two thousand minimum
and then you could work your way up from
there as you get more clients because
then your time is more valuable so but
also on top of that when you charge the
1,000 or 2,000 a month you need to
communicate to your client that hey we
also need an advertising budget of you
know at least a thousand a month okay
because you can't be spending what the
retainer that you're getting because
that's the money that that is paid for
your time so you can't be using that for
the advertising budget so I would
communicate that to the client as well
my monthly retainer is two thousand and
also you're going to need a thousand
dollar ad budget so three thousand at
all oh yeah one last thing that a lot of
people that for me also is that you know
I don't have a lot of lawyers so like if
you're in a beginning on taking on
clients um what would you recommend for
someone who's taking on social media
clients but also needs contracts
structured correctly for their clients
do you have templates or do you have a
game plan that you know a beginner or
someone intermediate could actually
implement with with your contracts so
one they don't get screwed over and then
also but yeah let us know yeah so we're
starting off with contracts I would
definitely go to LA depo calm you can
get contracts made for you there that
are professionally written you know I
guess you could pull them off the
internet but I would go to a site like
Lotte Depot there's other specialized
sites out there but you should have a
privacy policy you should have like a
non-compete agreement and stuff like
that because you know if you're gonna be
documenting your journey like me like I
am obviously some of my clients aren't
aren't willing you know for me to be
able to like share that info like hey
you know I'm I'm gonna show their ad
account I'm gonna show their campaigns
like a lot of clients they want their
stuff private because they are a
business they are running a professional
business yes they know I have a personal
brand they know I have my youtube
channel but they don't want that stuff
on there so I have to sign an agreement
with them saying like hey
maintain your privacy as a client and
I'm not gonna be showing your ad
accounts and all that stuff on my
YouTube channel so it's a win-win
situation for both of us it's not just
contract saying hey you have to be my
client for this amount of time but also
hey I'm gonna be you know as a you know
as an agree a partner with you I'm also
going to maintain privacy and treat you
with the most respect as a client so you
have to structure your contracts as a
win-win for both of you
