How to Grow Your YouTube Channel FAST in 2019 (Exposing Algorithm..)

in this video I'm gonna show you how to
grow your YouTube channel in 2019 before
we actually get into the video I just
wanted to let you know that I actually
just started a brand new channel called
growth tube on this channel I will be
posting tips about growing your YouTube
channel in 2019 and beyond so if you're
looking to grow your channel in 2019 and
Beyond then I would appreciate it if you
can actually subscribe to grow tube I
will leave a link in the description
down below and on-air I will actually
post five videos every single week
sharing my best growth strategies that I
use myself as well in order to get
results like this now without further
ado let's just get into the video and
then I'm gonna show you how you can grow
your channel in 2019 hi there my name is
Yuri from the growth Tube channel I hope
you're having a fantastic day and if not
don't worry because in this free
training video I will review how the
algorithm works and how to trigger the
algorithm now I've been doing YouTube
for the past seven months and I managed
to grow a channel from zero to over 20k
subscribers with personal content in
just seven months and in this free
training video I will actually show you
what I focused on in order to do this so
if you're interested in finding out how
the algorithm works and how you can
trigger it and get YouTube to recommend
your videos then I would highly
recommend you watch this video until the
end and then after that you will know
exactly what you need to do and what you
need to focus on in order to grow your
channel fast now with all of that being
said let's just get into this free
training video right now now let's take
a look at how the algorithm works and
how you can potentially trigger the
algorithm and in order to understand
that you must understand how the
algorithm operates and what it focuses
on so we want to find out what YouTube
wants from us and not what we want from
YouTube because if we do that then we
will have the leverage right so the
algorithm used to look at clicks if a
video was getting tons of clicks YouTube
would recommend the video to even more
people and I said used to because this
is not how it works anymore since a few
years ago YouTube put its focus
on watch time which which is basically
the amount of minutes watched per video
now let's take a look into why they
actually did that
okay so YouTube is a business which
means that they want to make money just
like any business they want to make
money now they figured that clicks alone
were not the key to making more money
they found that watch time is the most
important metric in order to make money
why because they want to keep people on
their platform for as long as possible
which makes sense right take a look at
this if you click on a video but you
only watch 30 seconds of it then YouTube
could only monetize the ad in front of
the video but if you click a video and
you watch eight minutes of it YouTube
can now monetize the ad in front of the
video and also through mineral ads which
means that they will make more money the
longer anyone stays on the platform the
more money they will make and that's why
they're focusing on watch time in 2019
and Beyond so first of all watch time
aka amount of minutes watched per video
is really important in order to trigger
the algorithm and that's also why
YouTube actually loves videos there are
ten minutes or longer the simple reason
for that is that people use mid-roll ads
in 10 min plus videos and they will make
more money by sharing these videos so
people will stay only platform longer by
watching a long video does YouTube will
make more money so one metric that's
really important to focus on is watch
time now is that it no definitely not
that's just one factor that comes into
play when you try to trigger the
algorithm another big factor is CTR aka
click-through rate you could have a
video that has 50 minutes of average to
watch time but if no one actually clicks
on your videos it's kind of useless
right the click-through rate indicates
how many people click on your video per
impression for example 100 impressions
with a 20% CTR will get you 20 views 100
impressions with an 8% CTR will only get
you 8 views and again
YouTube wants to make more money by just
looking at this metric which video do
you think they will promote more the 20%
one or the 8% one did you say 20 well
then you're right
why because YouTube wants to make sure
that people stay on the platform and
they want to make money right so think
about it if they share a video that has
a 20% CTR they will get 20 views per 100
impressions which means that people stay
on the platform and they will make money
they will make more money than sharing
the video with the a percent CTR simply
because that's gonna get them eight
views on the platform and the other
video is gonna get them 20 views and
that's why CTR is also really important
the higher the CTR the more likely it is
for YouTube to recommend your videos
because more clicks means more ads are
seen and more money made by YouTube now
let's take a look at one of my own
videos and that's actually a great
example I'm in my Creator studio right
now and let's take a look at this video
as you can see right there this video
actually has 145 K fuse and it's
currently getting around let's just say
between 75 and like 150 or like even 200
views an hour right and when I posted
this video I actually had like maybe
like 3.5 K subscribers on the 10th of
July in 2019 and right now this video is
actually close to getting 150 K views
and 1 million impressions probably gonna
hit 1 million impressions over your next
couple of days but I just want to show
you that CTR is important because this
video actually went viral why because of
the CTR if I click on click-through rate
you can see that the average CTR since
published is actually 10 point 7 percent
which is really high the average on
YouTube is anywhere between 2 point 5
and 10 percent but that depends on your
niche and a my niche ten point seven
percent is actually very high so on the
first day
actually a 14.3% click-through rate then
it drops down a bit but it's still
pretty high it's like it's like way
above 10 and when that happens like when
I get a CTR that's higher than 10
YouTube is actually pushing my content
now as you can see right there at the
lowest point it's probably right there
9% which is still pretty good and most
of the times it's anywhere between 10
and like 12% and that's the reason why
this video actually went viral and this
just proves that CTR is really important
on this video the watch time wasn't that
good I actually made a video that's
under 10 minutes which was a huge
mistake because right now I only made
four hundred and seven dollars from this
video and if if this video was ten
minutes I could have probably made over
$1,000 now I'm just showing you this
because I appreciate you watching so I
don't mind you seeing how much I make
with this video anyway that just proves
that CTR is really important and that
YouTube will actually share your videos
once you're established and once you
actually have a high CTR so as you can
see right there my CTR is actually
template 7% let's just do autist so in
August my CTR for this video was ten
point six and then let's just do let's
just do July as well because that's the
month that I posted this video in and
expiry is 11% now with this I just
wanted to show you that CTR is really
important and that once you get a crazy
I CTR YouTube could actually recommend
your videos and you can get crazy views
just like I got on this video now let's
just get back into the training video
right now and then I will continue
showing you how the algorithm works if
you manage to combine high watch time
with the highest CTR then you're on to
something so if I post a video with 8
minutes of average watch time and a 50%
CTR will I go viral no it depends if you
are already established then I would say
yes if you're just starting out then I
would say no YouTube also looks at our
40 so if you already have an established
YouTube channel YouTube will actually
have a lot of data about your channel
and they will notice when your video is
performing better than usual but if
you're just starting out YouTube won't
have data about your channel and thus it
will be very hard for them to predict
how the video will perform when they
decide to share it and that's also why
it takes time to get recommended by
YouTube so the beginning is always gonna
be hard now let's take a look at my
channel to prove this right now I'm in
the query studio once again and I'm
taking a look at the first month of me
doing YouTube this is the first month on
my channel I actually got three point 6
K views and I gained 104 subscribers now
if I go to reach you can add you can
actually see that YouTube is not
recommending my content which makes
sense because if I scroll down you can
see that only 11% comes from youtube
recommending my content which is really
low now if I go to the next month you
can see that this probably went up a
little now let's just do that
let's go custom first of March until
let's do the very the last they are
March and then let's just do that then
you can like I'm not sure but I bet that
it went up just a little like a small
percentage okay so it actually went up
to 19.7% so this is the first third
month of me doing YouTube now let's get
let's go to May and then you can pretty
much see April I mean April let's go to
April then you can see that this will
pretty much improve every single month
right now it's at 23.5% so this actually
went up again and I started to get more
views if I click on overview you can see
that I actually got 19 cave use in April
which isn't bad and actually gained 481
subscribers and this was actually a
pretty good month and then if we just
like go to July you can actually see
that YouTube is starting to recommend my
content as you can see right there I had
313 K views I gained 7 K subscribers
and if I go to reach you can see that
YouTube is actually recommending my
content there you go
50% is coming from YouTube recommending
my content so this just proves that it
takes time for YouTube to recommend your
content simply because they need to get
data so once they actually got data so
in July I actually post it for like five
months in a row I probably posted like
80 videos and right now they actually
have enough data to tell if a video is
performing well or not and once you hit
that like once you get to that point
YouTube will actually start recommending
your content so this was July 50% then
if we go to August you can see that my
views went up even more I got three
million three million impressions and
close to 400,000 views and if I scroll
down you can see that this went up again
to 55.7%
so this just shows that it takes time
and yeah it takes time for YouTube to
recommend your videos simply because
they need to gather data now I just
wanted to show you that to prove that
that's actually true now let's just get
back into the training video and then I
will continue showing you how the
algorithm works and how you can trigger
it it takes a while to gather enough
data to predict if the video is actually
good once they have enough data they
will actually start testing your video
so if you just posted a brand new video
and it gets high CTR and high watch time
YouTube is gonna test your video they
will start testing your video with just
a small audience now if it does well
then they will share it with an even
bigger audience and they will repeat
this process so if your video is
performing well they they're gonna share
it with even more people and if it still
does well they're gonna share it to even
more people and that's kind of like a
process they keep repeating
okay so let's wrap this up guys so the
YouTube algorithm focuses on watch time
CTR and Al 40 and for that you need data
so first of all you need to make sure to
give YouTube as much data as possible
this means posting as many videos as you
can
now I actually posted daily when I
started my channel and I got into the
algorithm
about four months or five months in so
after four months YouTube actually
decided to start recommending my videos
and that was one of the best moments
ever now I felt like I was getting
pushed more after I reached 2k
subscribers and also after I got
monetized
once again YouTube looks at money like
they want to make money so they will
make more money by pushing my YouTube
videos now because I'm monetized and
that's also a factor that comes into
play now once you are established the
CTR and watch time come into play as
well and of course this is always
important but especially once you are
established because then YouTube will
actually push your content right away if
you hit if you get a good video like if
you have a video with like 10% CTR and a
good amount of watch time then YouTube
is probably going to share your video
right away after you just posted it and
that's exactly why you need a 40 in
order to get that done so if you want to
trigger the algorithm then you must
focus on CTR watch time and I'll 40 and
YouTube even publicly announced this
theirselves as you can see right there
if you go into your YouTube study they
say that hi watch time and high CTR
increases the chance of YouTube sharing
your content now that's exactly how I
trigger the algorithm and how the
algorithm works in 2019 I hope you
enjoyed this free training video about
the algorithm if you did then make sure
you go to growth tube and let me know by
commenting down below on one of my
videos now that's it for now and I hope
you have a fantastic day peace out
