How To Start A Business WHEN YOU'RE BROKE? #Best Education Page #Online Earning

How To Start A Business WHEN YOU'RE BROKE?

hey this is Ryan Hildreth back with
another GTR rant and in this video I
want to talk about how to get started in
entrepreneurship if you are broke okay
this is something that a lot of new
entre startup entrepreneurs struggle
with especially ones that you know don't
have a lot of capital to start with and
this was me this was so I can relate and
I could kind of share my experiences to
hopefully help you on your journey of
getting started when you have no money
okay so that's the biggest problem and
we got to solve that and the best way to
do that is by swallowing swallowing your
pride and covering your baseline
expenses so what is the biggest expense
for most people is it's living right
it's the roof over your head and when I
was going to college
up north in Northern California I was I
was working a serving job and I was
going to school and I was you know
getting into entrepreneurship and I was
reading a bunch of books really good
books business books and but I was
living paycheck to paycheck so there was
no possible way that I would be able to
focus all my time and efforts into
entrepreneurship so I don't believe in
being self-made I don't think there's
such thing if you listen to Arnold
Schwarzenegger he says the same thing
every successful entrepreneur has had
help
whether it be someone that mentored them
or someone that gave them a place to
stay and live while they were you know
broke right broke like us at first
getting started and you know my dream
was of course I wanted to be able to buy
a beautiful car like this in cash
and live an awesome life style but I
knew that I had to start somewhere and
for me I was like I had to figure out
how to cover my living expense with you
know the roof over my head because my
rent at the time was like I think it was
like twelve hundred bucks which was way
too much when I first started out so
what I did was you know I moved back
home right I had parents that would let
me live in their house and not make me
pay rent so it's whether it's you have
to find you know ask a parent or a
cousin or a uncle or you know a friend
or just reduce your living expenses in
general like finding getting roommates
right I moved into a house that had
roommates because I did want to lower my
expenses even more then I ended up
moving with my parents because I was
like you know what for six months I'm
gonna I'm gonna quit school I'm gonna go
down back down live with my parents for
a bit and save up enough money working a
serving and bartending job to be able to
you know build up a capital reserve and
move out so you must cover that baseline
expense whether it's moving into a less
expensive place getting roommates living
for free if someone's willing to help
you out like a friend or a cousin or an
uncle or a parent it doesn't matter you
need to find that strategic partnership
okay you need to find someone who is
willing to help you with your vision
right and let you live in their place
for at a lower cost right because if
you're if you're paying for an apartment
by yourself you're paying probably
anywhere from one thousand to three
thousand dollars depending on where you
live if you live in California it's
almost impossible you know to get
started as a broke entrepreneur you know
and also have to pay rent so you have to
cover that baseline expense get a
strategic partner someone who believes
in your vision
I wants to help and support you and then
you know if if you're living for free
then obviously you know in exchange for
maybe doing some chores or like working
for that person for a little bit
you got your baseline expenses covered
so now you can focus the rest of your
time that you have on your
entrepreneurial journey right and
there's many business models that you
can get started today for free right
whether it's flipping stuff on
Craigslist on to the Facebook
marketplace or affiliate marketing
that's my personal favorite and that's
one of my largest sources of income you
can get started with affiliate marketing
for free there's no upfront capital
right and I have plenty of videos I have
an affiliate marketing playlist that you
can go ahead and watch and I will link
that in the description if you want to
get started with that okay but again you
have to have strategic partners in your
life right if you have people around you
that don't support your vision then
that's going to cost you your time it's
going to cost you your money and it's
gonna cost you your mental energy so you
have to have strategic partnerships
there's no such thing as being self-made
because everyone in their life once had
maybe a friend or a mentor or someone
that helped them in some sort of way
whether it they let them sleep in their
basement
or you know they taught them the
the ways of entrepreneurship and for me
I had a lot of people that mentored me I
had a lot of people that supported me
and let but let me live for you know a
low cost and that's that's pretty much
the way to get started when I ended up
moving out of my parents house and
moving into an apartment that was
because obviously I found the love of my
life who's not my wife but at the time
was my girlfriend and she moved across
the country for me so obviously we had
an expense right we had an expense of
our apartment but luckily you know we
were able to find her a job over here in
California and that was able to you know
pretty much cover just the the cost of
our apartment obviously we went into a
little bit of debt on our credit card
but that was the risk that we were
willing to take and I did not have time
for school okay there was a lot of
people telling me well you should still
go to school school cost money there is
a lot of people telling me you know you
should work a part-time job and at the
time I said you know what
I'm gonna give myself you know six
months and and if I end up going in debt
and not making any money in
entrepreneurship then I will go out and
get a part-time job but if you meet if
you want to focus on entrepreneurship
you have to just make it happen and try
to focus as much of your time and energy
on that as opposed to going to school or
you know working a part-time job if you
have to work a part-time job to cover
your cost of living then you must do
that right I mean everyone has a
different financial situation but you
have to get your baseline covered food
and a roof over your head if you can't
go out to the movies or you can't go out
and drink with your friends or do all
this you know that you really
shouldn't be doing when you're focusing
on building a business then you just
have to give that up at first right I'm
not saying you have to give up these
things forever but you have to cut out
all the because
entrepreneurship is not easy I'm not
gonna say that it's you know the easiest
thing in the world or you know you get
started in six months sometimes it takes
a little longer for me the learning
process took several years but actually
starting and diving in like you know my
first month of just quitting everything
and committing to entrepreneurship I
made I think to 200 bucks from
consulting calls you know obviously then
I scaled up my social media agency and I
was making a few thousand within the
first couple months so it's very
possible to make your first couple
thousand in entrepreneurship you know
within the first several months but you
have to get your baseline covered and
that's probably the biggest advice I
could give you is get strategic partners
meaning people that believe in your
vision and will support you and let you
live in their basement for free or
low-cost right
and yet get roommates if you have to and
I'm not saying this has to be forever
but just when you first start in your
startup entrepreneur you're gonna look
back at these times and say man like I'm
glad that I just bit the bullet and I
grinded and you know maybe I had to get
a couple roommates even if I didn't
enjoy it but it helped me start my
business and get to where I'm at now and
when I reflect on you know what the
things I had to give up I had to give up
the security right security of getting a
degree and a security of having a
part-time job right I gave up my I gave
up my straight pathway into a financial
adviser because I was you know I was
working at an investment bank and that
like I had everything lined up I had my
degree lined up in business finance I
had a job lined up for me lined up for
me right when I graduated and I gave
that all up right and I even went into a
little bit of credit card debt because I
gave up that security but that was what
I was willing to risk for
entrepreneurship so if you're broke find
strategic partners and that's the best
advice I could give you get your
baseline expenses covered food and a
roof over your head and just grind until
you make your first couple thousand
dollars and then obviously you made a
couple thousand so you could just scale
from there it's very easy to scale once
you make your first couple thousand in
entrepreneurship and a lot of people
think that's hard but it's not because
once you make your first sum of money
you know how to generate profits for
your business you just have to replicate
that in scale so again if you don't know
what type of business model the stark I
have plenty of playlists on my youtube
channel go ahead and subscribe hit the
thumbs up if you enjoyed this video if
you want me to make another video
answering a similar topic or something
else that you've been dying to learn or
hear about or you just want me to get my
advice and my you know my opinion on it
because of my experiences comment that
down below I'm down to make more videos
like this to kind of guide you guys
through your journey because I know that
it's hard it's not an easy route and
sometimes it can feel so daunting and so
like you just want to give up but you
know I started as a broke entrepreneur
and I've made over seven figures and I
can tell you that it's very possible so
hopefully this video helped you out and
I'll see you in the next one take care
