so the best way to win an argument is to
avoid the argument in general and I
learned this from Dale Carnegie's book
how to win friends and influence people
now this was a very in
spirational book
and very foundational book for my
success and I want you to take this
principle with you because when you get
into an argument I want you to think
about the last time you got an argument
maybe you won the argument did that feel
good probably not right you get that
little high of winning the argument but
then after you feel kind of empty
because it's a win-lose situation right
you won the argument the other person
feels bad so how do you avoid it or how
do you make it a win-win situation if
the argument is unavoidable you have to
listen to the other person right don't
just give in to the argument but listen
and understand that person and then find
a resolution maybe you can just accept
the fact that they're right or accept
the fact that they're gonna win this
argument and you know what you get in
that situation you get a win-win
situation because you get their goodwill
right because you gave in in their mind
and you know to them they're like you
know what maybe this person is a good
person they listen to me right they
understand the situation and they
understand that I was right and for you
you know that you weren't gonna win the
argument and you focused on a higher
purpose maybe if I give this person my
good will maybe if I let them win the
argument this time later I can you know
sell them on a product or later they
will listen to my influence right
because I gave them the time of day I
listen to them and that's what most
people don't focus on right because
people that are argumented right they
get into arguments often is because they
aren't heard no one's listening for them
so if you could be that one person that
listens to someone and understands where
they're coming from you can give them
that goodwill it's a win-win situation
and later on who knows maybe they buy a
product from you maybe you closed a deal
with them if they were a business owner
right or maybe it was a friendship that
who knows could but into a you know
beautiful friendship that lasts forever
