hey this is Ryan hildreth75 online
marketer and in this video you probably
came because you're deciding if maybe
you should go to college or if you
should stay in college or maybe if
you've went to college you're kind of
having thoughts of if it was a good idea
or not okay and I'm gonna give you my
basically my outlook on things I'm not
where I say screw college it's a waste
of time you don't need a degree but I'm
going to give you a perspective of the
two types of people in college and then
you can kind of decide which type of
person you are to help you
you understand if college is going to be
worth it for you or not okay so if
you're someone who is becoming an
engineer a lawyer a doctor a nurse or
anything like that I'm gonna ask you
probably you know this video is not
going to be too much value for you
because you do need college to you know
pursue those kinds of professions okay
but the the two type of people I'm going
to talk about okay the first type is
kind of something that I noticed in a
lot of my acquaintances right and maybe
this is you which is totally fine it
doesn't make you you know right or wrong
I'm just giving you the two types of
people so you could better understand
yourself and then if college is gonna be
worth it for you okay this is the I
wasn't this type of person but you know
this a lot of my acquaintances you know
had no structure in their life they you
know couldn't even make it to class on
time they couldn't you know they didn't
never had a planner they never wrote
down their goals or anything like that
and really they had no direction and and
really they just wanted to enjoy college
go to you know go to class meet friends
party have a good time
which is great College is a great place
to do that because
number one you're not alone you have
tons of you know educated people that
are wanting to learn and and you know
make friends and network and have a good
time and that's totally fine if that's
you then college is probably the best
thing for you because number one you're
not going to be alone and set your your
parents house or you know in your
apartment you're gonna have friends
you're gonna have opportunities to make
new friends I met some of my best
friends in college and they're still my
friends today you're gonna have more a
little bit more structure to your life
you're gonna learn you know more
responsibilities having to be on to
class on time having to follow you know
certain directions that the professor
asked of you you're gonna learn you know
critical thinking skills for studying
for tests and stuff like that which that
may be a blessing for you okay if you
are someone who has no idea what they
want to do your parents or you know the
state or your someone is gonna pay for
your college or you're not going to go
in too much debt then college may be a
great thing for you now that's the first
type of person okay but the second type
of person is the person that I was in
college and this may be you okay and
this may be the reason you came to this
video is because you want to make a lot
of money right you want to maybe start
your own business you have certain goals
and aspirations in your life you want to
have financial freedom you want to be
able to drive super cars you want to be
able to travel the world you know take
your partner you know meet meet great
getting great relationships meet your
partner and your dream partner and take
them across the world if you want and
have enough money to do so now if that's
you
okay then I want you to listen very
closely because that was me in college I
wanted to be able to spend more time
with my family I wanted to drive a super
car I wanted financial freedom okay in
college wasn't going to teach me how to
build a sustainable and profitable
business to be able to fund that kind of
lifestyle okay so that's a key
difference in college you're learning
things to be injected into the corporate
world which is totally fine right most
of my family's in the corporate world
you know is steady income kind of a
capped salary you're not going to make a
certain you know you're not going to
make a past a certain calorie mark
calorie mark salary cap but the thing is
is that if you want financial freedom
College is not going to teach you how to
get that okay you have to be able to
learn from someone a mentor online
courses you have to be able to learn
from people that have built you know
million-dollar businesses or
multi-million dollar businesses you have
to learn for people that have made a lot
of money or are in the financial
position that you want to be okay and a
college professor is most of the time
not going to be in that that category
okay all my opinon all my professors
weren't super wealthy you know they
weren't living crazy lavish lifestyles
or driving supercars or anything like
that
and there's nothing wrong with wanting
those things okay
I wanted those things ever since I was a
little kid and that's just what I
decided I was going to get so you know
for me I learned that college wasn't
gonna provide that so I dropped out the
reason I did that is because I tried
starting a business in college and I had
zero time to work on my business I had a
attend classes study for tests be at a
place at a certain time work a part-time
job and a full time job to be able to
pay for college right for college and if
that is you then you're going to have
zero time to work on your business
you're gonna have zero time to study
extracurricular things to be able to
build a business right I took many
courses online courses teaching me how
to do digital marketing teaching me how
to build a business while in college and
I had basically you know it took me a
couple months just to get through one
course and actually apply what I learned
okay and that's way too long to build a
business if you want to build a business
gain financial freedom all that kinds of
things they don't teach that in school
they don't teach you how to invest in
the stock market they don't teach you
how to invest in real estate they don't
teach you how to become an entrepreneur
build a business Marc social media
marketing effective advertising for your
business how to sell okay and those are
all skill sets that you need to be able
to create that financial freedom for
yourself okay you need to be able to
sell products and services you need to
be able to market effectively all right
you have to be able to communicate with
others and have social skills and those
things you develop outside of college so
if you are the second type of person
like I was
right kind of wishing that you didn't
spend so much time in college wishing
that you had a business to provide that
opportunity for you then I want you to
rethink about college I want you to
evaluate and assess if college is
providing you with the tools necessary
to reach your end goal and my end goal
was to build a profitable business
helped thousands of hundreds of
thousands of people and college wasn't
providing the right tools to get there
okay and that's why I decided college
was not for me
so decide what your end goal is and
think about if college is providing
those tools and if it isn't then
obviously you can make a decision based
