IVACY VPN REVIEW 💻 Is This Budget VPN Worth It?

- So what we're going to be doing in this video today
is doing a quick yet in depth review of the VPN Ivacy.
It is a smaller VPN, maybe one you haven't heard of yet,
but it's definitely worthy of being reviewed in this video
and it's an option you should definitely be considering
when exploring different VPNs out there.
So earlier this year, one of my goals
was to improve my online security.
I run multiple online businesses
and I'm frequently connecting to public WiFi.
So having a VPN was something that is very important to me
in terms of being more secure with my connections online.
And Ivacy is one of the VPNs that I came across
and I went ahead and did a review here.
And I'm gonna share that information with you guys now.
Now, as far as the criteria for this review:
Number one, the first thing we looked at was the price
and the term, what you're paying per month
and how long of a term you have to commit to
or pay for upfront to get the best possible pricing.
Number two, I do a live speed test here of Ivacy.
Number three, we look at the logs policy for this VPN
to determine whether or not they are logging
any kind of data on their users.
Moving on after that, we look at the number
of simultaneous connections or devices.
Number five, we look at customer service.
And then finally, we look at whether or not this VPN offers
any kind of free trial.
Okay, so, first of all, let's go ahead
and talk about the pricing here for Ivacy.
Now, a lot of VPNs use this trick here
where you have to navigate off the page
for them to offer you that best possible price.
And I did include a link in the description
at the top of the description, it is an affiliate link
and you will get the best possible pricing for Ivacy
if you do use that link.
But if you go over to this page and you say,
Hmmm, yeah, you know what, I don't wanna go ahead
and open up with Ivacy.
As you navigate off the page,
they're gonna hit you with a one-time offer here
and it is literally the cheapest VPN I have come across.
$1.33 per month for five years,
which is a seriously low price when it comes to VPNs.
The other VPNs are usually charging
anywhere from $2-$3.50 per month.
So $1.33 is extremely cheap for a VPN.
However, you are going to be paying for a five-year term
up front to get that best possible pricing.
So this is by far the cheapest VPN I have come across.
As far as payment options, they accept a variety
of different options including crypto currency
which is good for those looking to remain
as anonymous as possible.
Now we're going to go ahead and do a live speed test
here of Ivacy to see what kind of speed you can expect
if you decide to use this VPN.
And we're gonna go ahead and benchmark my WiFi first.
Okay, so the benchmark for my WiFi is this here:
a ping of 16 milliseconds,
download of 234 megabits per second,
and an upload of 257.
Now we're gonna go ahead and connect to Ivacy VPN
and see what kind of results we get as far as speed.
Now, I find to get the best possible speed,
you just wanna let the VPN do whatever it's going to do.
So we're gonna leave it on automatic
and go head and hit the on button connecting us to Ivacy
right after I put my login details in.
Okay, so we're all logged in now,
letting Ivacy connect us to a VPN.
And we just got the verification
that we are in fact connected.
So now let's go ahead and see what we get here
for the speed test.
Okay, and there we have the results here for Ivacy.
If you don't recall, our benchmark was around 16,
230 down, and 260 up.
And our results are as follows.
Not the best speeds in the world, to be honest with you.
Most VPNs that I've been using are testing out,
they can typically get a download and upload speed
of around 50-60 megabits per second.
So 25 is definitely on the lower side of things
but it is a relatively inexpensive VPN.
And if you're not looking for blazing fast speeds,
it may be a good choice for you if you are on a budget.
The ping of 15 milliseconds is actually better
than our original benchmark here.
And then 26 down and 25.5 up are the results here live
that I tested with the Ivacy VPN.
As far as the logging data here for Ivacy,
they are very transparent about what data
they are collecting on users and they do not maintain logs.
However, one issue people have
is that they are based out of Singapore
which is a country that is involved
in that Five Eyes agreement.
If you aren't familiar with Five Eyes,
that is an agreement between major countries
to share data in criminal prosecution.
As far as number of connections goes,
Ivacy allows for five simultaneous connections.
Customer service is pretty standard.
They offer both email support and live chat support.
And as far as their free trial goes,
they offer a 30-day money back guarantee
which is typically what you see
being offered to you by other VPNs.
So, just to wrap things up here.
The pros of Ivacy, it is by far the cheapest VPN
that I have come across, and it seems to be pretty secure.
And they do offer a 30-day money back guarantee
which is pretty generous.
As far as the cons go, they are based out of Singapore
which is part of the Five Eyes agreement or alliance.
So that may be an issue for you there.
And the other con is the speeds
are definitely not that great.
If you're looking for the best possible speeds,
I have found that, with either CyberGhost or ExpressVPN,
ExpressVPN being the more expensive option,
but CyberGhost is a relatively inexpensive option
that I had great speeds with during my testing.
And I will link up to all those different VPNs
down in the description below
if you're looking to learn more about them.
But anyways, guys, that's gonna wrap up this video.
I hope you enjoyed it and I will see you in the next one.
