My $1,000,000 Morning Routine #Best Education Page #Online Earning

My $1,000,000 Morning Routine

- So in 2020, I am anticipating that this morning routine
will help me to make one million dollars in revenue
associated with my different businesses
and it's funny because back in 2019,
I did a similar video about my goal,
which was to make $500,000 in that year,
and in 2019, my revenue figure came in just above 501K,
and it's kind of funny
because that is just how goal-setting works.
Nobody quite understands it but often times
if you set a goal out there and you really stick to it,
you can achieve that goal.
So that is why I am aiming
for the one million dollar mark in 2020.
Now obviously, that is a lot of money
and more than most people are making
and I'm not saying that money is everything guys,
but it's a very important aspect of life.
And if you, too, are looking to crush it in 2020
and make over $100,000 this year, drop a like on this video,
I just want to see how many people are out there
with ambitious goals related to making money
and I'm hoping some of the tips in my morning routine
will help you with your goals as well.
So, let's get right into it, guys.
I usually wake up between 7:45 and 8:30 in the morning.
I'm usually up before my alarm
but my alarm is usually set around that time.
And I'm gonna tell you this right now, guys,
one of the easiest things that you can do
to lower your stress, and get more done
and just have better overall feelings of, you know,
having a good day, get up on a consistent schedule.
I've had this issue in the past
where my schedule was all over the place,
I would go to bed late, wake up late,
and the best thing you can do for yourself
is get on a consistent schedule.
So I'm almost always up by 8 o'clock, 8:30 at the latest,
and the night before I go to bed around 11 p.m.
I need a little more sleep than the average person,
but I go to bed pretty early and that allows me
to get up early enough to get a lot done.
Now, one of the very first things I do when I wake up,
is I immediately make my bed
and I find that by getting up
and taking care of that one thing,
it's just one thing that's off my mind in terms of,
oh, later in the day I have to go into my room
and make my bed.
And as you're gonna see throughout this video,
I try to avoid these pattern interruptions, I call them,
at all costs.
For me there's nothing worse than being busy
and trying to do something
and then walking past a sink full of dishes
or a bed that you have to make
because it's just an additional thing that you have to do,
and it just adds stress to your day in my experience.
So the next thing I do, I go downstairs
and I get my water boiling for my coffee and my oatmeal,
and I usually get started with my eggs for breakfast.
Now, I'm a bit of a coffee snob,
and I love trying different coffees.
I make it at home with a French press.
So I am a big fan of today's video sponsor,
which is Trade coffee.
With Trade you can discover new coffees
from the nation's top roasters
because Trade matches you to your own, personal selection
of coffee and conveniently delivers it to you.
They sent me two complimentary coffees to try out at home,
I was a little bit skeptical at first,
but I honestly have to say
this is some of the best coffee I have ever personally had,
and I think a lot of it has to do with the fact
that it was just recently roasted and ground,
whereas store-bought coffee from the grocery store
is not nearly as fresh.
Now, it's really cool how it works
because you don't have to be a coffee expert
in order to find a good roast.
You just jump on their website, take a quiz,
and you tell Trade how do you like your coffee,
and they will curate matches just for you.
And then they are going to mail it right to your door.
You just have to choose your delivery frequency,
how often you want new coffee
and they will automatically send it to your door,
so you don't even have to think about it.
And then you simply rate the coffees that you receive,
and based on that information,
Trade is going to send you different coffees
and over time, discover what your perfect matches are.
Now Trade is offering an exclusive discount for my audience.
You can get 30% off your first bag,
but it's for the first 100 people only.
That's gonna be the top link down in the description below
if you guys want to check that out.
And based on my experience with Trade,
I would highly recommend it.
So anyways, guys, for my breakfast I often just have
my black coffee and then I will have my oats and my eggs.
I don't like loading up on a sugary breakfast
like pancakes or something like that.
I find that the coffee, the eggs and the oats
is a good mix of, you know, proteins, fats and carbs
and it really helps me have good mental clarity
throughout my morning.
Now after I get my water boiling on the stove,
it usually takes about 10 minutes to warm up,
so at that point I will let my dog out to use the bathroom
and then we usually spend a couple of minutes
hanging out and playing for a little bit,
just to burn off some of that puppy energy.
Then I go outside and I grab my paper
and I get my breakfast all setup.
I like to have everything ready.
I got my paper on the table, I've got my oatmeal,
my coffee, my eggs
and sometimes I'll also drink kombucha in the morning,
depending on whether or not I remember
to buy some from the store.
But then I usually hang out for the next hour or so
just reading the paper.
And the most important thing for me here,
is that I'm not opening my email, I'm not checking my phone,
I'm just having some quiet time to myself
to read the paper and enjoy my morning.
So once I'm done reading my paper,
pretty much cover to cover,
the next thing I do is I go right to the sink
and I do my dishes.
Like I said, I try to avoid these pattern interruptions
and a lot of people
would just throw their dishes in the sink and do them later,
but I like to get started with my workday
knowing that all of my non-work-related tasks are complete.
My bed is made, my laundry is going or it's even folded.
I like to have all that household stuff out of the way,
that way all I focus on is my work.
So after I finish washing up my dishes,
I sit down with a pad of paper in most cases,
or I do this really weird thing
where I send myself an email.
I know there's easier ways of doing that,
but we all have our habits.
And what I'm basically doing
is setting just three goals for the day.
Also, and this may make me sound kinda lazy
but I try to stick to just one appointment per day.
Whether that's an oil change, or a coffee meeting
or a phone call, podcast interview.
Whatever it may be,
I like to just have one thing per day that I do,
that's going to take time
out of my schedule at a fixed time.
Now I still do grocery shopping,
or go out for a coffee or go to the gym.
Usually on most days.
But in terms of like a fixed event,
I like to have just one of those per day
if I can control it.
And then again, like I said,
rather than having a massive list of things to do,
I focus on just three.
Number one, the first thing I focus on
is what's going to have the biggest ROI on my business
or my day or whatever it may be.
A lot of people have referred to this as the big domino.
I don't remember where I heard that,
otherwise I would site my source,
but it's really just the big thing that you can do
that's going to have the biggest return on your investment.
And it's funny because often times this is not related to me
working in my business,
it's actually working on my business,
and if you're an entrepreneur
you understand the difference between those things.
But if not, working on your business
means that you're working on systems or processes
or improving efficiencies
whereas working in your business
is actually handling your day-to-day operations.
And a lot of people forget to work on their businesses
and ultimately that's what's gonna help you make more money
is developing better systems and processes
and things like that.
So for example, on this given day
that I was keeping track of, my number one goal for the day,
my first goal was to build
a better profit and loss spreadsheet for 2020,
because when I was doing my taxes for 2019,
it was kind of a mess
and it was a huge source of stress for me,
so I said I want to learn more about creating a P&L,
learn some basic accounting
and put together a more organized spreadsheet.
So that is a case of me working on the business
by creating a better system.
The next two goals are usually related
to working in the business
and that is just me doing the day-to-day operations
and since my entire business is content-related,
those things are almost always related to content.
So on this given day that I was documenting,
my number two goal was to outline my video
on the best budgeting apps for 2020,
and my goal number three was to revise a blog article
I had on WeBull versus Robinhood.
And then, guys, after I finish up those three goals,
I stop working for the day.
Now I do have some other tasks
that I do pretty much every day,
like checking my email, responding to YouTube comments.
But I delegate a lot of the other stuff out to people
who do things for me and it allows me to really just focus
on what is the most important stuff
and what's really moving the needle for my business.
So maybe I should outsource accounting, too,
but it's something I still hold onto
because I like to have a really good view
of what's going on, but that's the big difference here.
A lot of people when they finish up
their three or four goals for the day,
they start doing more stuff.
But I stopped doing that because what I learned
is that these things, these activities
that I cram into my day don't necessarily help me
make more money or grow a larger audience.
So in all honesty here, guys, in most cases on a given day,
I probably spend four hours
focused in on work-related tasks.
So it's not like an eight-hour workday
or a 10-hour workday or anything like that.
But I have found over the last three years
of running my businesses, that more time does not result
in more money, more output or more happiness.
And a lot of it, in my opinion,
comes down to Parkinson's Law.
And that states that,
"Work expands so as to fill the time available
"for its completion."
And the basic premise of that is,
if I gave somebody 30 minutes to complete a task
versus 30 hours, both people would be able to fill that time
because that amount of time is available for completion.
So if I spent 12 hours a day on my three goals,
I could spend four hours on each task
or something like that,
but that doesn't necessarily mean
that's gonna make me more money or anything like that.
So I stick to basically four hours per day of work,
three main goals.
One related to ROI, two related to the content-creation,
and that's what's worked well for me in growing my business
and I strongly believe that's going to help me
hit that million dollar mark in 2020.
But anyways, guys, that is my morning routine,
what I do before work and then when I'm done with work,
I usually will go to the gym, or hang out with friends
or maybe go out for a drink
and just do different stuff like that,
maybe take the dog for a walk.
So I'm definitely not somebody who is doing that whole,
Gary Vee grind-type lifestyle
where I just grind my 20's away.
I think I have a pretty decent work-life balance
and it's worked well for me so far,
and I would expect for it to continue to
based on my last three years of growth and results.
So let me know what you guys think of this routine
down in the comment section below,
and while you're down there,
make sure you check out that discount code
for 30% off your first bag of coffee from Trade coffee,
for the first 100 people only.
But thanks so much for watching, guys,
I hope you enjoyed this video,
and I will see you in the next one.
