I was too scared to even open up the
camera right and you're like
there's no one out here you know I
encountered them you know I would say at
least once a year midday how do I have
this much energy did I just drink a
bunch of caffeine you're a little tweak
of you people that make you look stupid
you know what should I price my course
at I'm just jacking off or that someone
Hildreth here at the Newport Coast in
sunny Southern California this is
actually one of my favorite places to
come in film it's actually where I
filmed my very first advertisement for
my first course launch that did $3,000
in an hour and totally change my life
but what I'm here to talk about is
success barriers and how these might be
holding you back from achieving that
next level of success that you want to
achieve okay and these are very common
and the reason in fact why I'm down here
is because I remember before I film that
first advertisement I was too scared to
even open up the camera because there
was three people sitting on the beach
ten feet away from me okay so that was a
success barrier right there now there's
probably been an instance in your life
where I don't know maybe you were trying
to achieve some level of success maybe
you were working on a business and you
kept failing right and you're like
this is just completely annoying I just
want to start over or I don't even want
to do it at all right and that in itself
can be a success barrier failure can be
a success barrier now one of my failures
I started this little t-shirt company
with one of my friends that was probably
the first business that I ever started
and didn't end up working out lost all
our money
and that was probably one of my business
biggest success barriers because I
couldn't move past that I didn't want to
fail again right but with success
barriers are is its evolutionary
programming in your brain saying stay
safe protect yourself protect the ego
and continue to do the least amount of
work to get the most amount of output
right if you're fine if you have a roof
over your over your head you have food
on the table like your
rain doesn't want to do any more than
that so how do you overcome something
that's programmed into your mind right
well you can do that by reading great
books right seven Habits of Highly
Effective People by Stephen Covey this
was a book that I recommended to one of
my buddies you can surround yourself
with awesome people people that motivate
you people that make you look stupid
right be in a circle of friends I would
say you know whatever your closest peers
make sure that at least thirty percent
of them are on a level that you want to
be right because if you are in a group
of friends in environment you know
people that you oftenly
communicate with and these people are
giving you validation because maybe
you're the most enthusiastic maybe
you're the hardest working in the group
maybe you're making the most money in
the group you're not going to get to
that next level
because you're surrounding yourself in
an environment that is not conducive for
getting past that success barrier so
surrounding yourself with new people
right that could be going to seminars or
even watching videos like this like
you're watching right now so success
barriers get in the way right and the
reason I bring this topic up too is
because as you can see I'm back on
YouTube and I have created this course
that has literally taken me three months
to film and really structure out called
the six-figure launch sequence and there
is a link down below to a live
masterclass that you could attend
there's limited spots but the thing is
when creating courses okay some of the
common feelings for me was Who am I why
are people gonna listen to me what is so
valuable that I have that someone would
actually pay for right I remember asking
one of my friends actually when I first
created my course I said hey man what do
you think I should price my course at
right and this was you know one of my
good friends super smart dude but he's
never made a course before he's never
even sold a course before and I asked
him you know what should I price my
course at and he said I don't know maybe
like 40 50 bucks okay and I was like wow
okay maybe what about
do you think about like 150 and he's
like that might be a little high right
it might be a little high people might
not want to buy that that in itself was
a success barrier because I was
listening to someone who had zero
experience in the digital course space
online education space and I was seeking
advice from them right so that was a
success barrier and that's the reason
why you should surround yourself with
people who are where you want to be
because they they're currently doing or
have done the things that you want to do
right so that can be valuable advice
that you can get from them but also take
it with a grain of salt if you're taking
my advice word-for-word
right you should definitely check
yourself because you know you should
always be questioning who you're getting
your advice from and you should always
add your own spin onto your advice right
I get advice from great leaders great
thought leaders in this world but do I
take it word-for-word no I definitely
assess it myself I said does that align
with you know my values does that align
with what I want to accomplish if it
does then I take the advice right but
taking advice from someone who is not
doing you know who is not immersed in
what you want to be doing is a surefire
way to a success barrier so surrounding
yourself with the right people reading
the right books having the right
environment to be able to create
long-term success now another way to
blast past that success barrier is your
diet right your habits do you go to bed
at the same time every night or are you
staying out late drinking with friends
and you kind of wake up and go to bed at
random times you know whenever you want
well that's not gonna be most optimal
for creating long-term success if you
look at the most successful people in
the world right I've read some of the
some books by the most successful people
in the world Warren Buffett Tony Robbins
amazing leaders maybe even in the Roman
you know emperor days
when you look at them they are very
systematic and calculated they have set
systems they have habits they treat
their body as a temple they eat good
foods they go to bed at the same time
every night they wake up early they're
up two hours before everyone else so
that they're able to get more work done
think about that you wake up two hours
before your friends that are just
jacking off or doing whatever you wake
up two hours before them every single
day for a whole year that's hundreds of
hours of work that you have accomplished
towards your long-term success that
people around you haven't okay so those
are two things right surrounding
yourself with the right people okay and
that could even mean going into periods
of I would say a little bit lonely lit
loneliness you know what I mean like
when I first started out as entrepreneur
I didn't know many entrepreneurs I was
reading the right books I was you know
surrounding myself with the right
information but I didn't have many
friends who were doing the same things
as me so it was actually I had to get
rid of friends or you know kind of
retract from hanging out with people
that didn't align with my vision okay so
there was a period where I didn't have
many friends but once you immerse
yourself into this space you will find
friends you will find people business
partners that you can confide in and
that can you can mastermind with but
entrepreneurship is definitely can be a
lonely road so be prepared for that
right be prepared for that be prepared
to develop the habits and develop the
diet that it takes to feel good all the
time right I'm here at the beach there's
no one out here I'm high energy it's
midday how do I have this much energy
did I just drink a bunch of caffeine I
had a little bit of caffeine in the
morning but nothing over excessive did I
take any adderall no I didn't take any
adderall I'm just excited to do what I'm
doing right here okay and I got plenty
of sleep and I will go to bed at the
same time probably around 9:45 10
o'clock I wake up at the same time
around 6 o'clock I hit the gym first
thing in the morning and I get to work
right after a
so that I have momentum in my day so if
you are having a success barrier you
cannot get to that next level of success
audit the people that are around you I
want you to audit the people order that
are around you audit the information
that you're watching are you reading
like you know fiction books are you
reading fiction books only fiction books
you should be reading or Paulo Coelho
right you shouldn't be watching the news
no media no negative media you should
only be reading books on technical
skills books on mindset books on
psychology and happiness and positivity
so that you can cultivate an environment
to thrive and blast through your success
barrier it's so funny how these little
tweaks can totally change your life a
little tweak of going to bed earlier a
little tweak of not watching negative
news a little tweak of eating the right
foods and hitting the gym and exercising
a little tweak of hanging out with the
right people that inspire you right so
hopefully you can be out here with me

nine-to-five doing what you absolutely
love to do so I hope you know I hope you
can get towards that success I hope you
can blast through your current success
barriers because we all have them
you know I encountered them you know I
would say at least once a year I
encounter a major success barrier that
takes me a couple months to get through
and you know creating this course was
actually definitely a success barrier
for me it was like so much time that I
had to dedicate so much effort and but
luckily I was able to blast through that
get it all in check and now I'm hosting
