hey this Ryan hildreth back with another
McLaren rant in today's video I'm gonna
talk about the number one high income
skill set that everyone has but where
they rank on the totem pole obviously
varies a lot of people majority of
people are very low on the totem pole
when it comes to this particular skill
set
okay everyone has this skill set but
their ability to convey this skill set
out in the world all right is obviously
varies and if you have this skill set
and you become very good at it you will
always have money in your bank account
you will always have food on your table
you will always have a roof over your
head and honestly you will never have to
worry about anything ever again
because let's just say you have a
corporate job right now or a
nine-to-five and god forbid you get
fired right you will never have to worry
again because you have this skill set
and you will be able to either go get
another job or start your own business
or make money and have money you know
flowing into your bank account so I'm
gonna talk about this number this number
one high income skill set because when I
realized the importance of this it
drastically changed my life in fact I
went from you know earning less than
thirty thousand dollars a year at my at
my corporate job and dropping out of
college right to making my first seven
figures alright online and that number
one high incomes get sorry that number
one high income skill set is sales all
right now whether you think that sales
is you know maybe when you think of
sales you think of the slimy snake oil
salesman right trying to sell you a car
or you know someone on the internet
trying to sell you something you don't
want and that's not what sales is right
but a lot of people look at it like that
and if you think of sales like that I
invite you to take a different
perspective or at
here out my perspective on sales okay
because sales is something that is
incorporated in your life every moment
of the day right when you first wake up
in the morning right it's you hit your
snooze button and then maybe you're like
okay you know what I gotta get out of
bed I got work today you are selling to
yourself that the idea of getting out of
bed is more important than just
continuing to sleep and lay there okay
that sales you're selling yourself right
your ability to let's say you have a
girlfriend or boyfriend or whatever wife
husband right your ability to you know
secure that relationship to make that
relationship happen is sales okay you
are selling the fact that maybe when you
first met that person or you want to go
out and meet people maybe you don't have
a girlfriend or boyfriend you don't have
a significant other and you want to get
someone in your life that's awesome
amazing beautiful you know caring loving
whatever you have to have the ability to
sell yourself the ability to sell that
hey I'm a cool person you want to be
with me because I have I'm a person of
high value right in being able to convey
that is sale so literally when it comes
to relationships health waking up in the
morning making money everything is sales
and that's how I look at it and that's
how all of the wealthiest people in the
world look at it okay it's an exchange
of value and being able to convey that
you know it let's say you want money
right that what you are offering is
worth more than the money that someone
is giving you alright so where did I
first learn about sales and how can you
apply this into your life well I was
working on investment bank okay and this
is kind of when I first learned about
sales I always thought that you know
investment bankers or money managers
were these amazing stock traders right I
thought oh you know they know all the
technical analysis and they know alpha
and beta and all the the perfect stocks
to pick right and make these amazing
returns and in fact when I was there I
learned that that is the furthest thing
the truth in fact most money managers
put their clients money in some sort of
mutual funds or ETFs or just something
that's passive that they don't really
have to manage okay so what was the
point of being you know at the
investment banking and kind of learning
because I wanted to be a money manager I
I was learning like what do these people
do really all they're doing is sales
they're acquiring funds in there -
they're saying to people hey you know
I'll manage your money right you know
better than you can and that's basically
what you know sales is it's conveying
that the value that hey what I have is
more is you know of more value than than
what you are currently offering to me
and that's why you know that's why
there's an exchange there so when I
learned that yeah I you know I had a
talk with someone in the office and you
know he told me he I said like how did
you get your success you know this guy
was making millions of dollars millions
of dollars one of the best you know
money managers in that particular office
and he told me he said you know I I
don't know what the market has done this
past month and to me you know going with
a thought that hey this person is you
know I thought this person is the the
best stock trader in the world right
that's why he's making all this money
and it's not you know he has employees
doing that for him right the ability to
acquire those funds from people to
manage is the sales aspect of that whole
position so I said wow this job is not
trading you know trading stocks or
trading whatever bonds this is sales
that's crazy you know like the people
making the most money in that office
were the best salespeople not the best
stock traders in fact the people that
were trading the stocks are the people
that were managing you know kind of not
managing but you know deciding which
positions to put the money into you know
those people weren't even making that
much so that was a
light bulb moment to me and I said you
know what I need to get good at sales
and I did need to be able to convey you
know you learn how to communicate and
offer value to people and be able to
communicate that value okay so if you
want to make more money today you want
to make more you want more funds flowing
into your life you want that security
you know you want to be able to wake up
and know that if everything went to zero
today you everything in your life right
let's say you lost your job you lost all
income sources you would be able to go
create new income sources because of
your sales abilities okay that is what
you want in life that is the highest
amount of security I can tell you right
now that I'm able to live my dream life
I'm able to have these nice cars and do
all these nice things not because you
know I got lucky or not because you know
I hit it big with this one thing it's
because I have the ability to sell okay
and I I'm constantly learning and
improving my salesmanship right and
being able to communicate better now I
promise you if you work on those things
your life will change you will have more
security in your life you will have the
ability to go out there and create new
income sources all right now like
honestly I can't stress this enough and
if I leave one thing with you on this
channel on my channel you know and I
appreciate you being here and watching
and you know listening to these rants
because not only does it help you but it
helps me as well just communicate these
things and obviously you know get these
things off my mind because it's so
important but if I could leave you with
one thing it's learned how to sell okay
there's no I mean you know I could give
you all the strategies and tactics and
all this but the ability to sell is the
basically the best security you can have
in life because you always have money
flowing into your bank account you have
access to the Internet you can go sell
things online right you don't need to
start a business like a storefront or
anything like that there is people if
there are people around you you
the ability to go sell something to
those people okay and that ability is
number one finding out what people want
okay finding out what people want in
life what is important to people right
like that bill like me making these
videos I know that you want to improve
your life in some sort of way probably
financially right that I mean that's why
I made this channel because when I first
started I was watching channels just
like this on how to you know make more
money how to you know get a six-pack and
and be more healthy right and you know
that is the number one thing so how do
you go about increasing your skillset of
sales all right I think that's the
biggest thing the best way to do it is
watch other people sell okay now it
doesn't mean like you have to watch
someone selling an item per se for me I
actually learned you know my sales
skills with success with women okay
that's how I met my amazing beautiful
wife who was my girlfriend and then I
married her and it was it's amazing
obviously how many girls do you think I
had to talk to before I met her like
hundreds of thousands all right because
I had to learn how to sell I had to
learn how to convey my values as a man
and that's just one way I learned now
I'm not saying that's the way you have
to learn but I mean that is the honestly
the best way to learn if you're a man I
mean ninety-eight percent of the people
watching my channel or men so I'm
guessing you're probably a male if not
female either way either way it's a good
way to practice you know communication
skills and the best thing about women is
that I love women we like it's just
amazing like the best thing about women
is they can see through your BS so you
know being able to sell it being able to
communicate your value you're gonna get
the best feedback from women I mean not
the best in a sense that like it's good
feedback you might get bad feedback but
quick feedback is great okay and that's
how you learn so going out and actually
selling something going out and meeting
new
people right that you're maybe attracted
to
that's a great way to start that's how I
started and then I moved into obviously
once I found my dream partner I moved
into starting my own business and
selling products to everyone men and
women right so you know you could either
start there or you could start selling
products right start selling products
that people and don't worry about
rejection don't worry about people
saying no to you I mean do you know how
many knows I've gotten in my life
probably close to a million okay
I've gotten close to a million maybe
even more knows in my life people that
are like you know get the heck away from
me you know you're a snake oil salesman
you're this you're that you're you know
just hating and it's because those
people aren't they're not my buyers
they're not perspective perceptive to
the value I'm offering so that's fine
totally like though there will be people
and that's how you have to when you
start selling things products you have
to find a mass audience and then start
finding your target audience within that
mass audience so in order to find your
target right someone who's going to hand
you money whether it's for a product a
service maybe you're managing their
social media like I started out doing or
you know maybe you're going to teach
them about marketing whatever it may be
right you have to go through a lot of
people you're not gonna find someone
who's gonna hand you a thousand dollars
a month or two thousand or three
thousand or five thousand right by you
know talking to one person you're gonna
have to talk to many people now the
great thing about sales online okay so
you can learn in person you could
communicate with people in person and
that is obviously the best way because
you're gonna get feedback not only
verbally but you know by body
communication body language but when
you're selling online you don't have to
deal with it's kind of a barrier of
rejection when someone says no to you
they're typing no and you could just
move on to the next person it's a lot
easier to deal with rejection
online because
I mean it's like you're not in person
with that person so there's no awkward
moment there's no awkward silence right
but even in person there shouldn't be an
awkward sound so you could always make
friendship with that person or just move
on but selling a product online the best
way to get started is affiliate
marketing okay number one because most
of the time you don't have your own
product you don't have your own merchant
account like stripe or PayPal you don't
have an LLC set up or you just don't
want to deal with customers sell other
people's products do affiliate marketing
right as you see um one of the best
platforms you can learn right now
affiliate marketing is legendary
marketer I'm gonna include that in the

something that I promote as an affiliate
that's something that I learned from I
it's a learning platform I watched all
the modules there you know and the CEO
Dave Sharpe you know I you know he
hopped on a call with him the other day
and I learned so much from that guy so
you know it's amazing you know being
around people who know how to sell who
know how to market and who are effective
communicators is a group another way to
learn okay so number one go out and
start practicing okay whether it be in
person or online sell something all
right
you could even just be selling you know
like hey do you want to hang out right
would you like to grab lunch maybe it's
someone you look up to a mentor that you
want in your life
go sell them on the fact that you would
be a good mentee right that's that's a
way you can do it sell something online
do affiliate marketing go grab affiliate
links from a product you believe in or
you know you could learn down below you
can partner with legendary and become an
affiliate and start selling products
online right then you don't have to
really deal with rejection really just
move on to the next person run Facebook
Ads you don't even have to I mean it's
all automated right so if I could leave
you with anything today it's learn how
to sell that is the best security you
can have in life when people say you
know when people criticize others when
people criticize you on maybe some of
the life choices you're making maybe
maybe you spent some money on something
nice or maybe you treated yourself to a
vacation people people look down upon
that the best rebuttal for that is like
I know how to sell
I could go make more money right and
that's the best I mean this is best
feeling ever I can honestly sit tell you
right now like it's the best feeling to
know how to sell because I mean you can
always get more money you can always
replenish your bank account and you
never have to worry about having a
nine-to-five or having relying on
someone else to pay you a boss a
corporation right and and that's the
spirit of this channel you know is to
make you self-sufficient to make you
reliant on you because no one is going
to put you on the top no one is going to
you know get you to fame and fortune you
have to create that path for yourself
you have to carve that out for yourself
okay
and the easiest way to do that is by
learning sales being a effective
salesperson look at some of the best
salesman in the world Elon Musk sold an
ugly ugly truck that thing is frickin
hideous and he sold over 200,000 units
and in fact he told people hey the
trucks not done yet pay me pay me today
and I'll give you the truck in a year or
two we'll see you know pending the dude
is a genius salesman he literally got
people to pay him for something that he
hasn't even created yet think about that
something that's ugly super ugly like in
my opinion I think it's the most hideous
thing in the world as far as vehicles go
alright so if that dude watch people
like that watch Elon Musk on stage
selling something right what you'll
notice is some little nuances like he
number one doesn't he doesn't give a
what people think you know he like
he threw the metal thing at the truck
just broke the glass he's like oh well
it's supposed to be bulletproof you know
he didn't care did he react in some sort
of way when people were like oh you know
it broke no he didn't care he went up
there this disattached himself from out
come he didn't care like he didn't care
how many units he sold he thought it was
cool he said hey I got this cool truck I
built it has a Tesla engine in it who
wants it look at this thing it's amazing
and it goes 0 to 60 faster than most you
know super cars right like obviously
there's value there but you know just
having that that uh just dis attachment
from outcome like he didn't care how
many units he sold one or two hundred
thousand he knew he was gonna go out
there and sell some trucks okay and
that's kind of the attitude you have to
have just go out there and know that
you're gonna sell something obviously it
takes practice to build up that
confidence but it just obviously watch
people like that and then go out and
apply those principles yourself so I'm
