content today today I want to talk about
the truth really the truth about
affiliate marketing here in 2018 and
talk about why affiliate marketing
doesn't work as you know it and I know a
lot of my audience are people that of
course either new or just are struggling
and hitting wall after wall trying to
break through and I want to speak some
just honesty and some truth to you guys
today I've been getting tons and tons of
emails from people you know upset
because I'm not getting back to them in
time and you guys have to understand I
of emails which is part of the problem
you know is that people the truth is
people just aren't getting the mentoring
that they need because the Mentors
you know that aren't available tend to
be the best mentors and if you get a
mentor that maybe make in a couple
thousand dollars a month that's great
but it doesn't mean they're a good
teacher so there's a dilemma there plus
you know when you you know join a
program you join an opportunity you get
a sponsor you don't necessarily get to
always pick your sponsor sometimes you
just come across something you join it
and you have no idea if they're a newbie
themselves or if they're experienced so
you don't know if you have somebody that
can actually coach and train you because
we look up to our sponsors for help and
those people that are great sponsors
that have success there are good
trainers you know more often than not
they're not getting paid enough through
that affiliate offer that they just
recruited you in to really spend the
time to nurture and help you grow and if
they were to break down the math they'd
be making pennies on the dollar per hour
so can you see why there's a lack of
mentorship out there people need more
actionable stuff right they need things
simplify
they need help to get them to refocus on
what matters I was talking to one of my
clients today this morning and man she's
trying to set up her website and she's
trying to do you know all this techy
stuff connect funnels and understand
what a funnel is and you know it's
unfortunate because these things do
matter but they're not the most
important thing so I want to help you
focus get back on track by telling you
this traffic I know you've heard this
before website visitors is the lifeblood
of your business and you might think hey
Josh well I need a funnel I need a
website to get people to buy my stuff
and I need to know that stuff the truth
is is you don't and I said this in one
of my last videos about two videos ago
you got to build an audience that's the
secret my friend it doesn't matter what
offer you're sending people to if you
build an audience and they're loyal to
you the capture page doesn't matter this
color scheme doesn't matter the the
copywriting the headlines don't matter
as much as you know you think they do
remember back in 2013 when I started
uploading videos on YouTube I was using
the company's funnels capture pages
sells material and people were still
buying from me why because I was focused
on building a brand and the pre frame
was so strong people were seeing me on
video right they knew that you know I
was genuine I had their best interest at
heart even though I sucked at video but
people aren't stupid they can tell
whether you're you're lying or whether
you're telling the truth right so you
know you have to realize like you need
to keep things simple keep things stupid
simple when you find that you're
overwhelmed when you find that you're
getting thrown in so many directions by
different marketers you know that's part
of the game but you have to take a step
back and say you know these guys are
marketers of course they want my
attention but you got to be you've got
to be disciplined you can't just let
anybody steal your attention your time
is valuable
just as much as theirs is I'm telling
you the successful people they're not
worried about what everybody else is
doing on Facebook they're not worried
about what other marketers are doing
they're not spending time getting caught
up in somebody else's agenda right
they've got a goal they've got a mission
they are clear I don't know why the my
video is kind of going all bright on me
right now but they are absolutely clear
let me see if I can move here
they're absolutely clear as to what
their mission is right they've planted
their flag they've got a goal in mind
and they're not gonna let anything take
them off course let me see if I can fix
this here looks like it's not gonna fix
okay there we go
they're not gonna let anybody take them
off course so the question is is are you
clear on what your outcome is and are
the things that you're doing every day
from when you get up in the morning and
opening random emails is that serving
you is that getting you closer to your
goal or is it getting you further away
you've got to think about these things
so with that being said and kind of
doing some indirect mentoring with you
here you know you're probably wondering
how do I actually find a mentor that can
help me shortcut my success you know you
got to find somebody that actually knows
what they're talking about just because
they're making 10 20 30 40 grand a month
doesn't mean they're a good teacher
right and a lot of times we just join
people that have these external
credentials they they're at the top of
leaderboards they got money coming to
the bank account but it doesn't mean
they're a good teacher doesn't mean they
have your best interest at heart right
so you really have to trust the mentor
and if you trust me I would love the
chance to coach and mentor you and help
you get to the next level to where it's
worth it for me right I'm charging a
price that's worth it to me but also
it's a reasonable price for you because
you're short cutting or success you're
not going through the five years of
struggle that I went through right so
that's some you're interested in again
you know it's totally up to you you know
everybody has their own path their own
journey in life but I would love to work
