here welcome back to the channel and in
this video today we're gonna be talking
about what affiliate marketing is and
how it works but before we dive into the
content I want to tell you guys a little
bit about myself for those of you that
are brand new he or she can get an
understanding of where I came from him
sort of where I'm at today because of
this online affiliate marketing world
well backing I believe it was 2005-2006
I graduated from high school and I
started getting the itch of
entrepreneurship but I still did what
most people do they follow their friends
they follow what their family says to do
and they go off to college so I went to
college for a couple years and I finally
mustered up the courage I made the
decision to drop out of college and
start learning online marketing and
learning affiliate marketing and during
that time I had to support myself so I
worked at a retail jewelry store an
actual national chain known as jarred
the gallery of jewelry I did that for
about seven and a half years - and
during this time I really struggled
learning online business and I was
thrown into a lot of programs joined
into a lot of opportunities but realized
how simple affiliate marketing really
product and driving visitors to that one
product by using different platforms
such as you know Facebook and YouTube
Twitter Instagram email marketing so on
and so forth so you may be somebody
that's been struggling to learn how to
make money online maybe you've tried
affiliate marketing maybe you've tried
e-commerce maybe you've tried just about
anything and everything that you can
think of but you keep hitting brick wall
after brick wall and it's probably
because of the over well and the
overload of information the fact you
just need one mentor that you can follow
and stick with long term and that's what
I finally did is I found that I finally
found the right mentor and this mentor
completely changed my life
I went from working you know 12 hour
work days to working no more than two
hours a day and my
yearly income became my monthly income
I've had months as big as $50,000 in a
month
$37,000 another month I've had 10 15
$20,000 months but it all started with
making my first Commission online and
because of that I've been able to buy my
dream house actually I would say it's my
dream house but it's my first house
officially and I've been able to buy
this house because of the power of
affiliate marketing I've also been able
to actually get my dream car which is a
2016 BMW 650i it's a six-figure car and
I'll pop up some pictures right here
that you can see of this beautiful
vehicle but what it's really given me is
freedom it's given me the ability to
make decisions in my life on what I want
to do and when I want to do it and who I
want to do it with right and that's the
most important thing is to have complete
control over your life be able to wake
up be able to work as many hours you
want to work to be able to get a
beautiful dog like this one right here

honestly if it wasn't affiliate for
affiliate marketing I wouldn't have this
you know this lifestyle this this
ability to just you know wake up and
know that the the world is my canvas and
I can - what I've heard is that I want
really so with that said what I want to
do is I want to dive in my computer and
I want to show you guys what affiliate
marketing really is I want to show you
guys some live examples affiliate of
affiliate marketing in my own business
and in other people's businesses and
what we don't realize is that everybody
is affiliate marketers in some way or
another just most people aren't
compensated if I recommend somebody an
awesome ice cream shop they're gonna go
that ice cream shop but I don't get paid
for it right I'm gonna recommend a
restaurant to somebody they're going to
go to that restaurant I'm not going to
get paid for it so you know if I was to
recommend an Amazon product and they go
to Amazon and they use my specific link
then I will get paid so affiliate
marketing is just base
being able to promote other people's
products and getting paid a commission
for it so some different businesses out
there have affiliate programs they have
what's called you know an affiliate
program to where you can actually get
your own specific link and then you
share that link out there on the
internet and when you make a sell the
company will pay you and then the
company will keep the rest of the
Commission now what's so great about
this is a lot of companies are willing
to pay 50 60 70 80 % Commission because
they realize that everything in addition
to what they do is just a bonus right so
what we're gonna do is we're gonna dive
into my computer I'm gonna show you
affiliate marketing we're gonna show you
how it works I'm gonna show you some
live examples so let's go ahead and do
that right now we'll see you on the
other side all right guys so first thing
that I want to talk about is I want to
talk about affiliate programs right if
we're gonna promote an affiliate offer
we need to find an affiliate program
first that will allow us to promote the
specific offers within that affiliate
program so there's plenty of affiliate
programs out there one of the most
popular that people talk about is Amazon
Associates it is fairly easy to get
started with Amazon they pretty much
accept mostly everybody and you can
actually earn up to 10% advertising fees
with a trusted e-commerce leader of
course we're referring to Amazon here on
average though you're gonna get paid
anywhere between two to four percent
commission depending on what the product
is so if you're promoting electronics or
you're promoting health and beauty
products the Commission amounts are
going to vary on each and every one of
these different products my first got
started online I started learning about
you know Amazon associates and promote
promoting Amazon products and I think
that's a great way to get started
because you're not having to you know
fort out any money in the process of you
know promoting these products more often
than not you have to own a product to be
able to promote it now I urge that you
do that right because if you're giving a
review on some headphones that you don't
own then people aren't really going to
believe you so you want to make sure
that you own the products
you're creating reviews around so one of
the quickest ways to get started with
affiliate marketing is to just look
around your house right I see an
airfryer here over here of course you
guys can't see it I got a tripod I got
lights right here I got a microphone
right here a laptop these are different
products that can do reviews or on so
make sure that you you know pick a
product you already own and maybe you
just want to get your feet wet and you
want to start you know without having to
you know go out there and do too much to
start with something around your house
and then you know turn on the camera you
don't actually have to show your face
but we can do is you can show the
product and and and you know show it in
action there's tons of different YouTube
videos out there that show you you know
how to you know enhance with graphics
you know the products exposure and do
all these different camera angles and so
on and so forth but when you're getting
started you really don't need to worry
about that too much
people just want to make sure the
products of quality they want to see it
in use and they want to see that it
works right so what I would suggest is
to not over sell right what we're doing
here is if you believe in a product
you're just going to start sharing
you're gonna share your experience with
it and it's always useful to list pros
and cons of a product don't just list
all the best features about it but lists
the pros and the cons and more than
likely people will probably buy from you
if they see that the pros outweigh the
cons right and that's what how I got
started I would review different
products on Amazon and then I got more
into digital marketing and I started
getting into you know websites like
Clickbank calm okay and Clickbank is a
marketplace like Amazon but instead of
focusing on physical products like
Amazon focuses on Clickbank focuses on
digital products now I'm biased to
Clickbank because this is really where I
have my breakthrough and I was able to
quit my job because Amazon just didn't
pay out high enough Commission's like I
said they pay anywhere between two to
six percent on average and so if I was
selling a thousand dollar product and I
was getting paid you know six percent
commission that's that's not what is
that like 60 bucks that's not a whole
lot of money right when you're getting
started it may look like a lot of money
but you'd have to make quite a few cells
to make job quitting income right and so
I left Clickbank because it's a
marketplace full of digital products
that have high profit margins an average
you're going to make between 40% and
like 80% Commission's which is why you
see the data right here this is just the
past two days guys I've done over a
thousand dollars I did twelve hundred
and thirty-eight dollars you know today
March 27th and then yesterday March 26 I
did eleven hundred fifty six dollars
ninety seven cents so you're probably
wondering Josh how are the Commission's
being tracked back to you like how are
you earning Commission's on selling
somebody else's product how is
everything tracked everything is tracked
with a unique affiliate link right most
sells with affiliate marketing are made
through an affiliate link and you can
get an affiliate link through Amazon
what you'll do is you'll sign up for
Amazon Associates here and then you log
in and then you pick what product you
want to promote and it'll create a
unique affiliate link just for you it's
the only affiliate link out there in the
world that's unique to you you got there
and share it and when somebody clicks
that link then the data is cookie back
to you so when somebody buys Amazon's
database we'll be able to tell that it
was you that referred that person and
you'll get the commission now the same
thing applies to Clickbank as well as
you can see here we are the Clickbank
marketplace and there's tons and tons of
different products you can promote in
different categories and so what I would
do I want to promote maybe for example
green products here and I pick this
product right and this is really cool
because it's going to tell me how much
I'm going to make on average when I
promote this product which is forty
seven dollars and 53 cents okay and then
what we'll do is we'll click the promote
button and assuming that we've already
created an account okay and if you
haven't created an account go to
clickbank com in the top right hand
corner there'll be a link that says
create account you'll create your
account you don't have to pay anything
to sign up you'll sign up you'll get
this account nickname here right or your
unique account nickname this is mine in
this case guts and glory I'm going to
click create and then boom guess what
I have my unique affiliate link that I
can share out there on the internet so
you'll see like a lot of times in the
description of YouTube videos on
websites when you hover over a link or
if you just look at the raw link you can
see it's kind of like a crazy link with
a big stream of numbers right typically
those types of links are affiliate links
and so when somebody clicks this
affiliate link and they buy guess what I
get the commission so it's great because
you know product owners they want to
make more money and product owners can
only get their message out to so many
people and so they take on affiliates
like you and me and they pay a
percentage of the sell to you to help
them expand that product and get out
there to a bigger market place so that's
what I love about Clickbank calm is that
it's very easy to set up again doesn't
cost anything to promote these products
but again I would urge that you own
these products before you promote them
and then you know you can share that
link on Facebook Twitter Instagram
YouTube you know like I do most of my
links below or at least the first link
below is actually an affiliate link so
that affiliate link will actually lead
you to a product that teaches you how to
build an online business affiliate
marketing business from complete scratch
in complete detail so if you'd like my

affiliate offers that I promote okay so
you definitely want to be promoting
something around a specific topic you're
knowledgeable about you're you're
someone interested in or passionate
about because then you won't quit after
a couple days right there's a lot of
people that go out there like you know
they think they're passionate about
blogging and they try blogging and they
end up you know hating it after two days
of writing and they quit right you want
to find something that you're passionate
about maybe you have a skill set maybe
you're good
at baseball you're good at golf you're
good at a sport maybe you love helping
women lose weight because you had a
weight loss transformation so you would
want to go out there and find an
affiliate program around weight loss you
can go to clickbank.com and go to the
weight loss section right down here it's
here somewhere health and fitness and
you can pick out a product that you
resonate with and then use that product
to create a personal transformation and
share that product with other people
okay so make sure it's something that
you want to learn more about or
something that you already know about
because you can also earn while you
learn and the concept of that is being
able to share with people and document
the process of transformation with them
so if you are building a business around
becoming an entrepreneur you want to
document the transformation of you going
from zero you know from living in your
parents basement or whatever it may be
to making money online and to being able
to buy your own car buy your own house
right and that's pretty much what I've
done on my own channel is document and
everything and by sharing people want to
join people and buy from people that
I've had transformations so you might be
thinking Josh I don't have results I'm
not don't have an expertise I can't jump
on camera and just just create content
and because I don't know what to talk
about
well that's why you want a document and
you want to share with what you're going
through on a daily basis to achieve X Y
Z whatever that goal is and then you
want to monetize that through affiliate
marketing and affiliate offers does that
make sense
so what I do is I teach people how to
build a business online and I monetize
that through my own personal
transformation showing them the programs
that I went through to create a
transformation and also show them the
proof of those programs and along with
the other income streams and other
products I guess you could say that I
had to buy to be able to achieve that
end result right so for example in
online marking there's tools you need to
have to be successful in weight loss
there's tools and resources and products
you need to have to be successful right
needed probably a gym membership if you
don't have one you need some sort of
routine some sort of workout routine you
might need a way
lifting machine right there's different
things are going to need to be
successful in your journey in affiliate
marketing
and building a business online you need
an autoresponder you need to be able to
create websites you need to be able to
create funnels you need to be able to
track different things and so that's why
right I got access to a funnel software
called click funnels and I was able to
become an affiliate of click funnels
once I tried it out and I really loved
it right I've habits now for two years
and I pay like two hundred ninety seven
dollars a month me personally because I
create so many funnels but what I do is
if people want to start their own line
business they need a funnel and so I'll
share my affiliate link from click
funnels with them and this is where I
get paid like eight thousand nine
hundred nineteen dollars and forty three
cents right same with clickmagick it's a
it's a tracking software tool I've made
four hundred and six dollars and thirty
cents with clickmagick
okay this is just tracking to be able to
track my clicks where am I where my
traffic is coming from right and where
where everything is you know what are my
traffic is converting so for example if
I go to my own click magic website you
can see today revenue $621 but I can go
to my specific funnels and find out
which specific funnels are converting
with which specific traffic sources in
case you can see that I have five cells
here but if I go to performance report
and I go to for example YouTube traffic
source and then I have a specific link
for maybe a YouTube video here look this
is telling me that I made three cells
with that specific link on YouTube so it
tells me what traffic source and which
specific link
I made that cell with okay so powerful
stuff you need this so you're not
throwing spaghetti against the wall
trying to figure out what sticks and and
what works what method works and what
doesn't work when it comes to the
Internet right so this is where we get
involved with traffic when you start
sharing these affiliate links from
Amazon and and Clickbank you want to use
a tracking tool like clickmagick so you
know which video
are performing the best for you if
you're doing video marketing you want to
find out which facebook posts are doing
the best for you and you can find out
what you know what they're clicking on
those specific Facebook posts and if
that click turned into a cell right and
so you want to have all these different
tracking links to be able to track your
cells and really maximize on what works
and then you know kind of get away from
what doesn't work right so these are the
essential tools you need to build an
online business and that's really
affiliate marketing in a nutshell but if

and it's not just gonna teach you one
facet of entrepreneurship it's not just

visitors to your affiliate marketing

enough to send you know your customer to
my offer and you know getting them to
purchase so that said if you're really
excited about affiliate marketing this
is the future influencer marketing
affiliate marketing
I think we're gonna get to a point where
people do recommend movies to go to when
you go to the Cinemark theatres you're
going to use a special passcode maybe
that your friend gave you maybe on your
phone and it's gonna scan and your
friends gonna earn a commission off of
it
I mean how on how awesome would that be
