hey guys welcome back to another video
today we're gonna be going over how to
make money with affiliate marketing on
this video so part number one we talked
a lot about you know making review
videos doing launch jacking for YouTube
all that good stuff
now that strategy is good it works good
you can make a lot of sales with that
strategy but today I'm going to show you
more of a long-term strategy more of a
brand building I guess you'd call it so
no matter what you pick if you want to
do part one strategy or the this
strategy mature you today it doesn't
really matter they still make
Commission's this one's just a little
bit more long-term thinking you're gonna
be able to build up more of a brand more
but however since it's more long-term
you're building more of a brand it's
probably gonna take a little bit longer
to make Commission's versus the first
strategy you can start making
Commission's within the first you know
week of doing that right so anyways
let's just dive straight into the video
right so there's basically just gonna be
three steps to this again I want to keep
it really simple as possible so step one
is gonna be picking some type of topic
or niche you're gonna be talking about
on YouTube right so for example let's
just pick the cycling niche so I was
really into cycling growing up so we're
just gonna use this example alright so
what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna press
filter right here and I'm gonna go over
to channels gay so I want to see what
kind of channels there are for cyclists
so I'm just gonna open this in a new tab
alright so we'll just check out these
two people right now okay we can see
this channel basically just there they
both have brands around cycling right
that's their niche and believe it or not
a lot of people make these channels just
for fun and they kind of turn into you
know a business right but the thing is
like you'll notice with a lot of these
people they're not collecting leads they
don't have funnels they're not selling
products and you know maybe they'll do
sponsorships once in a while so a lot of
these people on here like they're trying
to monetize but they truly just don't
know how I just know because I used to
follow this guy and watch his videos but
anyways I personally know he only makes
like a couple thousand a month from this
channel he could easily be making over
ten twenty thirty thousand a month if he
knew
the stuff that I teach on this channel
he knew some of the stuff I know just
because as an online marketer you know
you your spend all day marketing you
spend all day you know making funnels
and doing all this advanced marketing
stuff so you know if this if these
people knew some of the stuff that we
know on YouTube and in our little like
you know marketers community where we're
building funnels we're doing chat BOTS
we're doing email marketing
we're selling affiliate products were
selling courses you know we're selling
coaches all this different stuff we
could easily make a lot of money but you
know you just need traffic right and
YouTube is a great place for traffic as
you can see you know just this channel
alone has over 1.6 million subscribers
so I was a lot of people and you can see
like this guy he's still making a couple
thousand a month and look how much room
he has to grow right so for him the
sky's the limit compared to how many
subscribers they have on this channel
you know because really there's not that
much competition in the cycling niche
there's really not a lot of youtubers
there's like probably five channels at
the very most
and the demographic of cycling is tens
of millions of people worldwide alright
so we got to take advantage of these
niches that you're passionate about
whether it's hobbies or your fitness or
you're teaching people how to make more
money online or you're teaching people
digital marketing you know all that
different stuff you can make little
brands around and you can monetize it on
YouTube through your content alright
so that's step one is picking some type
of targeted niche that's not too
competitive and for example like weight
loss that's probably pretty competitive
if you do find your niche kind of too
competitive just sub it down right so
instead of weight loss specifically go
for belly fat for Mom escape like losing
belly fat for moms so just tone it down
more get more specific with people and
if you do that competition won't really
matter that much right so step number
two now once you do that is to literally
just create consistent and helpful
content content to the audience okay so
what do I mean by that well YouTube as
an algorithm you know it's gonna be hard
start showing your videos and ranking
your video starting out and the reason
for that is you kind of have to prove to
the algorithm that you know they see a
brand new YouTube channel they're not
going to just promote their videos and
make them go viral right that's not how
it works you basically have to kind of
like gain the algorithms trust because
before they start promoting your videos
you have to show them that you're gonna
put out consistent content your content
is gonna be at least decent right people
are gonna at least stick like halfway
through or at least watch a couple
minutes of the video okay so they look
at all these analytics their algorithm
scans everything so you got to make sure
that when you are uploading content
you're not just making a video real
quick so you can check it off on your
to-do list that's not gonna do you any
good okay so you have to really focus on
how come this video really helped my
audience how can I provide lots of value
in this video and you want to be asking
yourself okay what kind of keywords can
I go after in my niche what kind of
stuff is trending right so I'll show you
guys a cool little hack um if you guys

once you download that you're gonna go
right here and there's gonna be a
trending tab so now you can see on this
person's Channel you can see the most
trendy videos so you can see like this
one was ten months ago he's still
getting around 46 views per hour this
one was two years ago he's still getting
21 views per hour this one this one was
two years ago also getting 20 views per
hour so there's two things you can do
here number one is if you're a brand new
channel go look at Trinity videos in
your niche and go make content like like
clearly make it's very similar thumbnail
similar title and similar video same
thing here
similar thumbnail similar title similar
video same thing here right and then you
can go on another page and see what
they're trending is so you can see this
one was just two days ago already at
8,000 views road bike versus growl bike
and this one was three days ago and
they'll have it only has 23,000 views so
this one would be a good video to make a
video on if you're doing this kind of
content right so this is kind of what
you want to pay attention to is the
trending stuff now I might begin to head
of myself but once you start putting out
content on your channel you start
uploading these kind of videos you start
making similar thumbnails you have
videos up there you want to start
interacting with the community you know
Gary Vee talks a lot about like the
dollar eighty strategy on LinkedIn and
Instagram and basically what that is is
just engaging with people in the
comments section answering the people's
questions in the comments you know just
overall engaging with the community and
as you can see this video has 2,000 360
view - views per hour that means 2000
360 new people are watching this video
every single hour so if I was trying to
grow my channel and if I had similar
content to this channel on my channel
what I would do is I'd be commenting on
this video
right and just start engaging with the
community and then start replying to
people yeah man totally agree or if
someone has a question answer the
question just start engaging what the
people learn the niches language that's
the most important part is learning
their lingo that's why when people say
to pick a niche make sure it's a niche
that you have something interest in you
have some type of passion in you have a
little bit of expertise in you don't
have to be a fawn fricking expert right
these guys aren't experts these guys
this guy isn't an expert they're just
sharing their journey they're just
sharing kind of what they know they're
sharing their advice right to make sure
when you do pick a niche that's a niche
you know about and if you don't know
about any niches go learn about a
frickin topic guys if you guys don't
know anything go learn something go Mass
or something can get really good at a
specific skill whether it's cycling
whether it's you know fitness well there
it's specifically losing belly fat or
whether it's specifically gaining muscle
in your arms you know there's all kinds
of different things that people either
desire or they have problems with and
it's your job as a marketer as a
business person if you want to make any
money ever you have to go learn a
certain skill you have to go learn how
to solve problems and deliver that to
people but what's cool about affiliate
marketing is I don't have to go and
create a freaking product to solve these
people's problems all
have to do is get the traffic and send
them to different operative offers right
so if I want to find some affiliate
offers I just literally type in cycling
and cycling a Philly program ok I can't
type today so I just literally Google
this and look at all these different
affiliate programs out there and if I
even wanted to like if I couldn't find
that many I can go and create my own
digital product and it's a good product
and you see like this niche doesn't have
too many affiliate programs it's mostly
just like physical products that pay
like 8% commissions which is fine but
I'm not a huge fan of that so what I
would do personally if I was restarting
in this niche is I would go create a
massive valuable digital product and go
get some of these people to start
promoting my product and maybe do an
interview on each other's channel maybe
I would go drive out to him you know
maybe he's a couple hours away I could
go do a ride with him and he could
interview me and this channel get me a
bunch of subscribers doing a Philly
promotion or a JV with my product right
so and I know I'm kind of ranting but
you guys got to be creative okay you
guys got to get creative with the stuff
and really think okay where's where's my
audience how can I get closer to them
right
so people who are interested in cycling
want to learn more they're on YouTube
watching this stuff okay so that's why
we're creating a YouTube channel we're
putting out content we're trying to get
closer to these people you really like
how much money you make directly
determines on your customer relationship
how close you're that's why it's
important to start collecting emails
which leads me to step number three of
this process is start collecting leads
once you pick your niche you start
posting valuable helpful content to your
audience then step number three you want
to start collecting leads right so you
want to give some type of lead magnet
away so I'm just curious I don't even
think these people have a lead magnet so
let me just go to one of their videos
let me pause this alright so I'm just
gonna go to this description here okay
so it looks like he's selling some merch
here okay this looks like an affiliate
Lee
here this looks like some more sponsors
slash affiliate links but notice how he
doesn't have a lead magnet okay like the
lead magnet would do so good in this
niche like for example the five-step
cycling training plan I use to win races
or dominate in races or dominate my
local group right right one other tip I
want to give you guys is when you're
creating your content you're doing your
thumbnails I want to show you something
that actually matters a lot
okay and a lot of people don't think it
matters that much but it actually does
okay so this is basically keeping your
thumbnails very consistent right so
notice how they always have this little
GCN logo right here that matters a lot
and the reason why keeping a pattern of
the same thumbnails so like you know
people like if they see that thumbnail
they can barely see the name they just
know oh that's that's that's the global
cycling Network let me go watch this
video but however if someone's watched
like I'll show you an example okay if I
click on this video and let's say all
these videos in the suggestion views
okay so I see like this one this one I
know that's Alex Becker OGC in right oh
GCN would you see it again okay oh gee
see it again okay so if they do have
like the same little theme and logo
people would probably be less likely to
click on this videos right so when
people are watching videos and a lot of
your subscribers are watching suggested
videos like this up next and they click
on your video like if I click on this it
really helps out your channel when
people just clip keep on watching your
videos like when they're binge watching
your channel that's when YouTube really
starts to give you some traction really
starts to give you some more views all
right so I've been trying to kind of do
that too with my channel so you'll
notice if I go to just go to my channel
alright so I'll go to my videos here and
notice how I kind of have the same theme
here right it's just kind of me and my
face same kind of graphics and designs
and font and all that stuff that way
they kind of just know it's me right I
have my face all big right there because
when they're watching another video I
want them to know
that's my video and if you guys found
value from one of my videos before and
you see it and suggested and it's
something that you would want to watch
like something like this right you're
more likely to go click on the video
because you already know it's me and
you've already watched me before right
versus if it was just some random person
that's they created lead Mountain that
converts and I've never heard of that
person I'm gonna be less likely to watch
this video because I've never watched
any of this previous content before all
right so that's just one little tip is
to keep your content very consistent
your thumbnails consistent and really
just create a brand on your channel so
that's kind of what I want to share
today of course you can combine this
with step one like of course every once
in a while you know you can create a
review video on such-and-such product
right it's not like you just have to do
review videos or just put out content
you can kind of mix it in okay and keep
in mind with a strategy like for example
if I was gonna go start in the cycling
niche I would be trying to rank for
keywords right on step to create
consistent valuable content I'd be
ranking for keywords so they're cycling
workout they're cycling tips and then I
can literally just go through the
alphabet okay go to a cycling accidents
cycling around the world so probably
nothing I make they're cycling benefits
cycling before and after cycling
benefits of weight loss cycling backpack
cycling break away cycling best moments
okay go to see cycling crashes cycling
crunches okay I can make a video around
this right so there's so many different
keywords you can go after plus you can
go after you know trending videos you
know looking at the top competitors in
your niche see what videos are trending
on there using the vid IQ Chrome
extension making very least very similar
videos around that very similar there's
title thumbnails and really just
modeling what works alright guys so step
number one pick a niche if it's too
competitive pick a targeted sub niche
right step number two is start uploading
consistent valuable helpful content
using SEO and using like the trending
thing I showed you and then step three
is start
leads put together a lead generation
funnel where you can start collecting
emails and then up sell affiliate
products on the back end so if you guys
