I just wanted to do a video on Google
and how to get your new website up and
running and being found on Google so
here are my free tips on how to get your
to go and get your site is registered
with Google Webmaster Tools so you go
over to Google and do a search for
Webmaster Tools you'll find the page
that you need just go for all the steps
on there and create an account you'll
need to log in with your Google details
and then what you need to do is submit a
sitemap and if you're using WordPress
which I'm sure you are as you're
watching my channel I've got a video on
how to do that with a plugins so I'll
just put it there and if you want to
give it a click you can get that running
by submitting a sitemap to Google you're
basically telling Google all the pages
and posts that you've got on your
website and where it can find them and
how often you update them and it really
helps Google to index your site step
number two is to sign up for Google
Local or Google my business I think it's
now called or something like that head
on over to google and type in Google my
business and it's the first page that
comes up give that click here you
basically putting all your business
information and then when people do a
local search on Google you know say for
a plumber in London or a electrician in
Glasgow and the map comes up on the
results which you might have seen which
is normally the top of the search
results hopefully then your business
will appear there so you'll get some
nice local traffic to your website
my third tip is to create some links to
your site now when I say create some
links I don't mean go to an SEO company
and ask them to build your load of links
because that can have a negative effect
on your site especially if they're
building them in ways that Google
doesn't deem as acceptable the best way
for you to start building some links is
to create some social media profiles and
add your link to those and create some
content maybe a video or some articles
and post them to your blog I don't see
videos on YouTube and articles on to
relevant article sites maybe you could
ask your clients if they could link
through to you or maybe you've got some
friends or family and people have that
with websites that could offer you
just to get you up and running going
forward creating more links you might
watch a few of my other videos I've got
an SEO but it basically comes down to
creating some good stuff that people on
the internet will want to share and post
a link to and over time that builds up
your reputation which in turn increases
your search engine rankings ok so that
concludes my free tips as I said I've
