what is up good morning welcome in Santa
Claus here with us today don't stop
believin really excited chat with you
this morning I have a lot of things to
share and then of course we're just
gonna get into QA and help you out in
any which way we can I love doing this
this is day four I haven't gone live
four days in a row in a very long time
and here we are on YouTube a.m. every
morning so make sure if you haven't yet
make sure you subscribe and if you can
give me a thumbs up to start the day
that'd be really amazing so today we're
gonna be answering questions but I
wanted to give you some free resources
here that I have to share with you my
team and I have been working hard around
the clock the other day trying to make
sure that we could pull in all the
resources that we could to help you out
and I'll share with you some of those
things in just a moment what's up
developer wanna be good to see you
thanks so much for being here hot breath
pod see me on a couple times in a row
which is really fantastic good to see
you Chris as let's go that's right
that's why I'm talking about I love the
enthusiasm Michelle what up Heather good
to see you here thank you so much
welcome in you know why am I doing this
I'm doing this because number one
especially being so early in the morning
I could get more sleep but I also know
if I don't have a purpose when I wake up
in the morning I would wake up later I
wouldn't be fired up I go through sort
of my morning routine now as a result of
having this 8 a.m. structure and I don't
know if you all saw the video that just
came out recently on YouTube but it was
about 10 top or top 10 tips from working
at home and I've been working at home
for the last 12 years now and tip number
one is literally start a morning routine
like having that routine is really great
because it just gets kind of gets you in
that motion and although it's early it's
holding me accountable here 8:00 a.m.
every morning to show up for you it also
helps me start the day with service
up because I see that even if I can help
one person on this livestream it really
fires me up to you know want to help
more people and get some work done let's
do some more shout outs hasta LaVista
boss good to see thanks for being here
Corey good morning Cornelius welcome in
thank you so much for being here I'm in
yeah three times in a row never made it
says Vlada and Xena I'm sorry about that
but hopefully now you can come back each
day and hang out with me Ellen good
morning everyone or good afternoon good
evening true it's not the morning for
everybody Alex and the house VR queen
morning team Flynn loved working from
home video you release yesterday Pat
thank you so much I appreciate that okay
hopefully nobody's dying over there that
you know of but wishing everybody well
wishing everybody safety what seve
What's Up G ho grant in the house let's
take lots of positive energy away from
today's chat you mean like let's take
away with us some positive and it
positive positive energy versus let's
take away let's get rid of the positive
energy that's what I think you mean
craft room time good good good to see
here thank you so much sandy says good
day from Dubai karma says how's it going
Pat it's going well it's going well I'm
trying to keep my head above water and
again these live streams are really
really important to me because I can
show up for you I can provide some value
I can feel like I have purpose still you
know all that good stuff and hopefully
just stay connected with you that's why
I'm here doing this we got Doug Chris
Matt Melinda my first live I posted your
kangaroo drawing yesterday yeah that was
really embarrassing thank you for that I
appreciate you uh if you don't know what
we're talking about the other day I had
asked many of you to give me some
suggestions on what to draw because I
can actually come up on here and draw
some stuff for you
having some fun and unfortunately my
drawing skills under pressure we're not
very great so yeah that's that's what
happened there but uh let's see if I can
just draw a Hello really quick hello
hello hello hello love your work pad I
think it's great you prior to his family
life would love to ask you some
questions on the awesome dad show yeah I
believe now there's time you know now
there's time so reach out to me Pat at
Pat Flynn Club we might be able to make
it happy happen what do you teach what
are your team in what are you and your
team working on currently well thank you
for setting that up for me by the way
that this lady writes good morning I was
actually considering doing something
like this on my channel too
yeah yeah absolutely go ahead and do it
I think that the more the merrier right
Cornelia says Pat I really liked your
live setup I'm downloading Kindle will
it fly for me right now I own the
audible version and this takes me to
what I was about to share which was what
the team is working on right now so
actually if I go here to Google and I
type in smart passive income dot-com
slash toolkit this is what my team and I
were working for you working on for you
so this is a free resource that we put
together in light of what's happening
right now so you're gonna see an episode
that me and my CFO Matt put together
yesterday we literally recorded it less
than twenty twelve twelve what time is
it yeah we recorded it no maybe 16 hours
ago
and it's about finances it's about
managing your team it's about mental
health for business owners entrepreneurs
around that time in addition we have
some articles that we had brought up
from the from the archive and even wrote
specifically for this purpose and we
have some free resources as well a few
of you know that a couple of my books
let go and will it fly are currently for
free on Amazon Kindle and they are free
until Sunday because that's as long as
Amazon allowed me for but you can get
let go or will it fly or both actually
for free on Kindle right now
and also my courses build your own brand
which is normally free anyway but that's
available to you in case you wanted to
get a website up and running start your
brand and then this is new smart from
scratch of course that I typically sell
for two hundred and forty nine dollars
is also free for a limited time as long
as this is going to we know that this is
an opportunity for many I know it might
not seem like a thing that can happen at
this moment in time but thinking back to
my experience in 2008 when I got laid
off I had very very similar feelings to
what a lot of people are feeling right
now just sort of not really knowing
what's happening I got laid off myself
personally and it wasn't until I solved
that time as an opportunity versus just
feeling sorry for myself that things
finally started to happen so
smartpassiveincome.com a slash toolkit
will take you here once again emergency
podcast episode some resources from my
team smart from scratch build your own
brand books and then also I don't know
if you knew about this but buzzsprout
which is the podcasting host that I
recommend they're offering free Pro
podcasting accounts for schools
governments and NGOs so if you know
anybody you can click there and learn
more and offer them sort of wayfinding
to that to that area and convertkit I
don't know where they're at with this
right now but they had a creator fund
they actually put together I think
$50,000 to help creators in need
especially for things that are necessary
like groceries and things like that and
it was really cool of them to do that so
we are continually adding more into this
page hopefully this is a good start for
some people and you know I know we're
getting a lot of praise for this we are
not doing this for praise we are doing
this because we truly believe in help
and our goal is to help the entrepreneur
get to the next level
and to get through moments like this and
this is why we do entrepreneurship to
get through moments like this thankfully
me and my team we're all doing okay we
aren't cutting anybody we aren't killing
any hours we're actually putting more
hours into what we can do to serve this
is what we feel is our time to serve and
we hope that you can see this as an
opportunity to lean in and to focus on
content creation
because that's kind of what we have time
for now and then hopefully we can see
the positive out of this and perhaps
come out really really positive on the
other end awesome
let's see Ellen says fabulous so many
have similar ideas I added a resource to
my site specifically because of the
current situation that's awesome Ellen
do you want to tell everybody where
you're at that'd be awesome
don't use the dot-com or dot whatever
because YouTube won't show that here in
the chat let's see I use the opportunity
that a lot of people stay at home and
made a lot of streams on YouTube and
Facebook to give people opportunity to
spend time efficiently learning new
things about it yeah great job you know
I think that me forcing myself to go
live every morning here at 8:00 a.m. is
forced me to get set up here in a way
that hopefully I can fine-tune and get
better at so that perhaps when we come
out the other end and I go live again
I'm just gonna be that much more
comfortable already I'm feeling that
much more comfortable with stuff like
this so big big shout out and applause
to everybody out there who is taking
this opportunity to focus on what we can
control is my good friend Michael Hyatt
says you know what does this make
possible you know I think a lot of us
are looking at the sort of negative
aspects of this but there are always
opportunities you just have to find them
so hopefully that hopefully that helps
y'all let's see Dan says just got your
two e-books thanks you're welcome to an
let go is one in particular and again if
you're just coming on the stream if you
go to smartpassiveincome.com slash
toolkit you'll see a bunch of things
that my team and I are now offering for
free my books let go and will it fly are
there again on Amazon Kindle for free
right now smartpassiveincome.com slash
toolkit and let go in particular is a
really interesting book it's it's it's
you could read it in a day really and
it's one that covers the emotions the
struggle and the journey that I had
after getting laid off in 2008 and in
2008 feeling very similar vibes to right
now obviously for different reasons but
the recession and people getting laid
off and not really knowing what's
happening that was that was sort of key
there so
hopefully that can help inspire because
it's also you know the reason it's
called let go is because yes I was let
go for my job but at the same time in
order for me to step into this new me in
order to see the opportunity that was in
front of me I had to let go from where I
was at I had to let go of five years of
architecture school had to let go of
where society had sort of pushed me and
told me where I was supposed to go let's
see
Lori Clayton here I met you at
convertkit conference last year I
appreciate you talk taking the time to
talk to me for a bit absolutely you know
and I think this is why we're here
because I crave connection even though I
am an introvert I know how important it
is and I also know that showing it for
others is really important like that you
remember that moment which was really
cool
and I wish that I was able to see a
picture of you so that I could remember
who you are specifically but I'm really
excited that you remember that thank you
so much Ellen says it makes me so happy
that convertkit has initiated that
initiative and it's heartening to see so
many companies like buzzsprout teach
books that are stepping up to help
people yet teachable is coming up with
something too for those who are working
from home smart from scratch is gonna be
a part of that as well
I think you know it's one of those
things that like you start I don't know
it's what's that phrase it's like you
know when times are tough you really
start to understand who your friends are
like who your real friends are or when
you win the lottery you find out who
your real friends are I don't know what
the phrase is exactly but you start to
ste who who is really in this for for
the for the right reasons you know a lot
of people who I had followed I'm not
gonna mention any names are sort of
m.i.a right now and I haven't seen them
and kind of a shame because I think they
could step up and help people at this
moment but on the other hand there's so
many more people that have risen and
stepped up to help others too which is
which is really great a Jay here says
where do you see yourself in the next 10
years this is a great question you know
the next 10 years it's it's kind of
interesting and difficult to think about
that question in light of what's
happening right now because I don't even
know what's gonna happen in the next 10
months but all in all I definitely want
to stay positive I think
ideally - the situation that's happening
right now of course you know I see
myself continuing to lean into being a
business leader perhaps in different
bigger ways I definitely see more books
in my future keynote speeches but also
really honing in on the bigger levers
that I could pull to make a bigger
impact I definitely see myself focusing
more on education and hopefully to be an
agent of change in the world of
Education here in the u.s. specifically
teaching kids on entrepreneurship in
fact my wife April and I are discussing
potentially having a summer school put
together for kids to teach them
entrepreneurship and we were gonna
actually experiment with that very
shortly here not this year and maybe
even not next year but putting together
a curriculum and a plan to have that
happen in our local area so that we can
validate that and test out and then
perhaps franchise that and and and
spread it all around the world changing
education from within it's gonna be very
difficult although who knows what might
happen after this moment because
education is changing as we speak right
now in many different kinds of ways but
I would love to be there and show up and
have the rest of my biography be about
how education sort of had a shift to
focusing on entrepreneurship and
teaching kids those sorts of skills so
we'll see what happens but that's kind
of what I'm all about Corey says about
to hammer out video 14 nice Corey
awesome
then averaging one maybe every week and
a half is it maybe not a terrible idea
to prep on day one shoot upload the next
day and repeat for three and a half
videos per week I mean if you can get
into that rhythm I mean I found that
same rhythm on cheers to anybody
drinking khat anybody drink coffee with
me right now thank you so Cory I think
if you can make that possible that'd be
great
we've done something similar with the
podcast where we're just sort of like in
that machine like motion now and as a
result we are now I mean recorded
through June my team reached out to me
yesterday and said hey Pat now that we
have time we're looking ahead and can
you find guests to come on the podcast
from July through the rest of the year
now and we're only in March so whether
you use that opportunity to get ahead
and just have more videos in the hopper
or you use this opportunity to get ahead
and actually come out more can
distantly then either way it's gonna be
a win so I would definitely say yes for
sure Elizabeth says going live every day
as well over on my main channel
encouraging people to stay creative
that's awesome
Elizabeth fantastic Carmen says question
I'm finding it incredibly hard to be
social I'm a massive introvert by nature
and as I get older just gets worse I
know I have to be social for business
but I am struggling advice yeah so I
mean these are interesting times to ask
such a question karmic cash flow I think
that perhaps you could use this
opportunity to thrive as an introvert
who you know most people are not in
in-person social situations and here you
are on a live stream like this asking
question getting to know people I think
you are in the right mindset to see how
you might be able to connect with others
now I would encourage things like
collaborations content creation where
you can get other people involved you
know podcasting is a great way to use
your skills and still be an introvert
but still connect with others to getting
on to live streams going live yourself
should you want to choose to do that and
also realize that you don't have to be
on camera all the time for example for
those of you coming in new I'm sharing
my screen right now this is a free
resource that my team and I put together
this is sort of what we're pushing out
today for those of you who are here who
want to and think this would be useful
if you would share this that'd be
awesome
at Pat Flynn on Twitter or Instagram if
you're gonna sort of tag me on that
smartpassiveincome.com slash tool kit
this is a page that we put together to
help you with an emergency podcast
episode with my CFO and I talking about
finances business health and whatnot
free resources that we wrote free
courses free books let go and will it
fly or free smartpassiveincome.com slash
toolkit actually I should probably put a
link up let me see if I could do that
here on the fly can't I do that on the
fly smart passive income dot-com slash
tool kit let's see if this works boom
let me know if that's showing up for you
so my passive income calm slash tool kit
free resource that we're putting
together Hobby owner says loves that
love this live stream you've been doing
thank you so much I appreciate that we
got 90 people on I think we're gonna be
close to breaking 100 today and you know
I'm imagining doing this every single
day you know like hey
Captain's Log day 284 with thousands of
people watching but honestly that's not
the goal if thousands of people were
watching that'd be awesome but even if
thousands weren't this is enough like we
got plenty people here and I'm here to
serve
chris has downloaded the books last
night great resources you were putting
out there for anybody during this time
thank you so much I appreciate that free
spirits still working through will it
fly great book confirms to me that it
will fly free spirit is a perfect name
for that I love it
let's see journey through the gate
paranormal podcast good to see you I'm
thinking of doing a F I don't know what
you were gonna say but hey I'm there for
you let me know and you says staying
positive and confident in times like
this are so important the resources you
have provided the people are priceless
and provides so much inspiration
great job hat thank you not about me
though let's see when being at home it's
important that everybody stay connected
by talking to friends and family yeah
that was one of my tips
I think tip number two in the latest
video that came out that was about
working from home like literally staying
FaceTime connected I think is so key
getting on FaceTime or sharing audio is
much better than text just because
there's that human connection fires up
different parts of the brain and allows
you to stay happy stay healthy and
whatnot for sure getting dressed be
productive absolutely Alexandre says why
10 months that's just I said 10 months
because somebody asked 10 years and
using alliteration in that way sort of
makes the most sense but I have no idea
what's gonna happen I hope we get out of
this sooner than later Alexandre so
sorry if that sort of scared you a
little bit sorry oh here we go to ask a
question or to further the question that
was being asked YouTube live to ask
people their ideas for crafts for kids
things to do any ideas on how to get
best video background visuals with
laptop cam yeah I mean lighting is the
most important thing you'll notice that
if I go to the laptop cam right now
you're gonna notice that the lighting is
very grainy as you can see here and I
need a little bit more light so I might
use do I have anything with me I can
help yeah I mean I have for example
well that old hey so this light here and
I'm not saying you need to go buy some
lights daylight from from windows are
great but this is not a lightsaber this
is called the ice light and I'm not
saying this particular light in general
I just wanted to answer the question
that was well what is that light so
watch your eyes Zhu Zhu mmm okay so I'm
gonna connect this to my switch pod
because it's actually compatible but
you'll see hopefully when I put this up
that the additional light will be a
little bit better see a little bit of
extra light worked a lot better for the
webcam webcams don't have great night
vision cameras so make sure that you
have great light sort of on both sides
you see how it's sort of making it
making a lot better than if I were to
turn this off now it's grainy and that's
because it's fighting really hard to try
and move darker levels up for you and
it's just not working really well what's
up just creatives good to see you here
thanks so much let's go back to the
regular cam awesome by the way if you're
just coming in smartpassiveincome.com
slash tool kit my team and I've been
working hard to put some resources
together for you including free books
free courses emergency podcast episode
all this kind of stuff so hey there you
go alright where was I I totally lost my
train of thought it's gonna add a little
laugh track curve right now okay I've
been seeing a lot of stuff coming in but
oh yeah okay I just wanted I didn't want
this up the whole time there we go let's
see hey Pat is there limitation on
questions on times between the next
questions I have compensated for three
years that I haven't asked you anything
no limit no time limit other than at the
top of the hour I'm gonna be done by the
way if you could hook me up with a
thumbs up that'd be really fantastic and
after this goes
not live what's the opposite of not life
after this is after this becomes a
recorded thing you could help out the
channel a little bit by also coming in
leaving a comment about how you felt the
livestream went so just keep that in
mind if you stick around with me anyway
is there a limitation um no no
limitation I'm gonna be here as long as
I can and then that and then we're good
what up Jason good to see you I
definitely love the focus on kids and
teaching them entrepreneurship thanks so
much for being here the brown report
comm we just saw each other Jason
literally a couple weeks ago in San
Diego at social media marketing world
and here we are now seeing each other
virtually I think that's I think that's
great
alright I like what I'm seeing here I
saw a quick challenge and I think I am
up to the challenge
so let's do this we got six that's not
an eraser draw the Golden Gate Bridge in
60 seconds all right this is gonna
happen I'm trying to determine whether
or not I should okay I'm just gonna do
it
but
[Music]
let's see we got there's like a lane in
the middle of course and we got these
like little cross beams that are going
over here uh this is as sixty seconds
isn't a lot of time by the way I'm
struggling here we got we need some
color and then oh that's too much let's
undo that let's go opacity let's go a
little bit bigger so I can color that
mm-hmm let's go back to black if I can
okay this is a little bit of a struggle
ah there we go
Golden Gate Bridge with you know
sailboats and stuff okay that's that
done that was not very good I cannot
draw under pressure you guys this is why
we were in studio for literally days
trying to get things done not sixty
seconds thank you for that break by the
way let's see your surge good to see you
live and virtually yes awesome because
we haven't seen each other in forever
right let's see I'm gonna go back and
try to pick up where we left off okay
okay here we go I think a few people
were asking a similar question here I'd
like to start interviewing some big guys
like you who started from zero and made
it out of the rat race by building a
business of their own any tips on how to
get influencers attention so a couple
tips here number one you don't have to
always have influencers to come on to
provide value so I just want to put that
out there because there's a lot of great
people likely that you could interview
and find who could have sometimes better
stories to give you a quick little tip
here let's see if we go to the website
and I go to smart I go to so I've
interviewed Tim Ferriss right I've
interviewed let's see episode 51 that
was the first time I interviewed him and
then I interviewed him about 50 episodes
later I've interviewed Gary Vaynerchuk
by the way have you used the search bar
on smart passive income so I've
interviewed Gary if three times but
here's the episode 122 this episode with
Shane and Joss and Sam's two people who
you may have not heard of before unless
you were here on my show or or listen to
the podcast this interview has had more
downloads than the first two episodes
with Gary Vaynerchuk and Tim Ferriss
combined why because it's more relatable
people shared it more they got more
inspired by it influencers are way up
here in terms of the progression what
they're saying and how far they've come
versus the people in your audience may
not be as far and they would much prefer
somebody who's just a few steps ahead of
them which is what Shane and Joss and
were specifically so I just want you to
keep that in mind number two if you have
a relationship with them start there
right so if you already know a
quote-unquote influencer a Lyster leader
in the space then then then reach out to
them and just ask I think that's gonna
be really key but don't ask with how
it's gonna help you as the positioning
ask with how you might be able to help
them as the positioning number three if
you happen to have a relationship with
somebody who knows that person or have
maybe interviewed a person who's
interviewed that person or who has a
connection with them in some way then go
through there because a third party
channel a recommendation from a friend a
favor it's going to work really really
well too next if you do happen to not
have a relationship or connection to
somebody then see how you might be able
to offer them something related to
something that's really really important
for them right now for example let's say
that they are coming out with a book
well this is how I got access to both
Tim Ferriss and Gary Vaynerchuk it was
the moment at which they were coming up
with a book that I was then then able to
utilize my platform to be able to not
invite them on the show but to serve
them by have
come on the show and buying a couple
books and also sharing me with their
audience number five if you happen to
have any connections to them for example
maybe you both went to the same college
or you both
whatever both like Lego you can you can
typically initiate a conversation and
cut through the noise in that way so
hopefully that helps I know why I have
these headphones in because literally
I'm not actually hearing anything just
says when is the next any set you you
can all see this terrible Golden Gate
Bridge here let's see we are at 106
viewers welcome everybody thank you so
much if you're coming in late if you
head on over to smartpassiveincome.com
slash toolkit you'll see some free
resources that my team and I put
together for you not that by the way
let's go back back forth and forth quick
quiz who sang that song there we go the
online business toolkit right there and
that's gonna serve anybody who is
looking to find some resources to help
during this time a Cornelius Cornelius
hooked me up with a super chat I
appreciate you my friend that means a
lot to me so smartpassiveincome.com
slash toolkit kid all right let's
I'm just shifting shifting things around
here my screen what mic am i using right
now says Fabiano I'm using a rode ntg-2
if I were to go back to the other camera
perhaps turn this light on and then show
you up there boom there's the boom arm
with the road MTG and it's just off a
camera here professor Nez and Nick are
in the house what's up thank you for the
inspiration to do a live stream
definitely subscribe to them because
they've been doing awesome things okay
let me go back here so let's answer some
more questions I think a few people were
asking me about the set up you know
we're using a road caster Pro to capture
the audio we're using a Canon EOS R to
capture the video we're using e cam live
here to switch between different things
like others my Golden Gate Bridge and
the stream
that I have here allows me to just sort
of push a few buttons here and there and
get things going sweet
wow this is so cool we got some friends
in the house which is fantastic we got
professor as what's that professor thank
you for being here also Nick
Nieman in the house if you're learning
to do YouTube stuff highly recommend
checking them out let's go back up and
find some questions here
let's see Chris says not a not a tool to
test how many searches a certain keyword
has but to search for all keywords over
a certain amount of searches I'm sorry
by the way big shout out and thank you
to Cornelius for the super chat I
appreciate you all money being sort of
offered here through super chats are
being donated to the local food bank
beer is looking great says to me thank
you so much I appreciate that let's see
I think I missed the first part of your
question it was that Chris okay here we
go Pat Chris says thank you for this
live stream Pat do you know a tool to
find keywords that have a minimum amount
of searches and not a tool to test how
many searches a certain keyword has but
to search for all keywords over a
certain amount of searches I'm not
necessarily sure what the difference is
between those I was just gonna recommend
tools like the Google Adwords Keyword
planner tool there's also tools like a
HS right now is the most powerful one a
HR EFS yet corey says hey professor Nass
thank you so much I appreciate that
for the super chat over there that's
amazing you guys are you guys are
incredible
somebody was saying that you know we're
in the headphones makes me look a little
bit more official similar to how a
doctor with stethoscope would look so
yeah I'll put that on you know it's
important to look a Thor teen if I think
not be fake but you want to look
authoritative for sure new inception
says what software are you using to
switch from screen to screen I'm using
ekm life saw them at social media
marketing world saw the tools that they
now have available I've always had he
came live I just never used it I didn't
know how powerful it was it was it's
pretty cool see what's going on here
professor nas says YouTube is a keyword
research tool for YouTube and I think
that's really you know you yeah
absolutely to buddies is freaking
awesome I love it
let's see ahead of says I'm a beginner
in affiliate marketing and with practice
I got 90 on-page SEO score on Yoast but
still my articles are not ranking can
you tell me what are the mistakes I'm
doing so just having a good score in
Yoast SEO which is a wordpress plugin is
that's like step one and what that
essentially means is you are using the
right keyword structure you're using the
keyword the right amount of times in the
article it's exactly where it needs to
be that doesn't mean that you're gonna
be ranking there's a lot of other
factors it just means you've done the
foundational items to have the
possibility to rank really high should
you have that opportunity
oh and by opportunity I mean you publish
it you hopefully are getting people to
come and find it based on number-one
click-through rate that's that's one of
the most important factors now meaning
the number of times google shows it how
many times are actually people clicking
through what they do is they start to
experiment they start to rank you high
for a brief period of time to see
whether or not people are actually
interested and if they're not they're
gonna rank you back down if they are
clicking through there you're gonna keep
you up there and then there's other
factors that are involved such as how
long are they staying on the site what's
their session time on your website very
similar to how it is on YouTube right so
these factors including page load time
are all really important including
backlinks to the website too so you have
some work to do how might you get
backlinks those are the one that's like
one thing you can control who might you
reach out to to be a resource that might
reach out to you and link back to that
page there's there's a lot of factors
involved with with that sort of thing
let's see the tennis advocate says how
do you record and edit a podcast
interview typically you could record
using tools like Skype and or zoom ECAM
line is now gonna allow you to connect
with people and sort of be a Skype
replacement which is really interesting
however I've been using a tool lately
called squad cast if you check out
smartpassiveincome.com slash squad cast
you're gonna be able to see a tool that
records locally on both ends uploads as
you are recording and can provide the
best value to you and I'm actually a
advisor for the company now or an
advisor for the company now which is
great professor net says are you using
ekm yeah absolutely it's awesome I think
the beard is a serious game changer yeah
this is really interesting I
getting a lot of comments about it I'd
love to know a little bit more about why
as I've never had a beer before Martin
says good morning Patton team Flynn I've
been forced to into self
isolation as a paramedic I have kidney
disease got it I can't help out but I
have to to give all your courses thanks
Martin I'm so sorry for the situation
but what I would recommend is is try to
stay positive stay connected here on
these live streams again going live
every morning 8:00 a.m. as so long as
this thing exists and we're gonna we're
gonna see it through together and you
could potentially use this opportunity
to get online to create to connect and
sort of build a brand build some
authority and definitely check out the
free courses that we currently have
available if you go to let's where's the
link at smartpassiveincome.com slash
toolkit that'll take you to this page
here which will give you some resources
including my smart from scratch course
to help you get started it build your
own brand and of course my books let go
and will it fly these are available to
you for free right now should you choose
to use them alright Cornelius do you
have a preference between Facebook
Instagram or YouTube live which one do
you think gives more options or outreach
longtime fan I think it really depends
and thank you again for the super check
camellias I think it depends on number
one where does your target audience
exist where might you have the biggest
audience right now where are you most
comfortable I think that different live
streaming platforms you know obviously
the best thing to do would be to use a
tool like restream dot IO I think is
what it's called that allows you to
stream to all of them at the same time
however I've tried that before before
restream came about and it was just kind
of a mess to sort of interact in all
those different places at the same time
I think focusing on one platform at a
time actually just works best for me but
I went live on Instagram last night and
that worked really well
I went live on Facebook the other day
and I got nothing crickets so you know
I'm just leaning in to where it's
working right now and for me right now
that's YouTube what's up Jersey good to
see you let's see
professor Nash thank you so much $9.99
from Professor pear character jumping up
and down saying number one fan
appreciate you thank you so much cheers
to all the other coffee drinkers out
there japanimation with the answer alia
is the answer absolutely
YouTube should add the ability to do
hearts and likes during a live stream
yeah I think they should I didn't know
that was not a thing but I know that you
can sort of thumbs up for sure let's see
do you have any free heat map plugins
that actually work on newest WordPress
so on the Gutenberg Newton WordPress I
would check out a tool call let me see
if I could find it I am looking for sumo
me.com so sumo me plugins is it sumo me
no appSumo heat map plug in sumo just
sumo taught me
the sumo app has been discontinued okay
well then no I don't know of any free
heat mapping tools because it's not
available anymore unfortunately I don't
know why they did that it was a it was a
great tool for a while I apologize if
anybody knows any good heat mapping
tools I know there is crazy egg which is
one that I have used in the past but
that's not crazy cheap
let's see what's better using a brand on
YouTube channel or the creator's
personality I really think it depends on
what your goals are I do feel very very
biased toward personal brands for those
who are comfortable doing that not to
say that you can't have a business with
a logo and and not a name that can so be
successful you you can't however there
is something to be said for connecting
especially in a setting like this from
person to person
I think people especially nowadays are
looking for other people to connect with
this my buddy Chris Ducker says it's not
about the p2p it's not about the c2c
sorry the b2b or the b2c it's about the
p2p CVC would be interesting customer to
customer although that's community
that's sort of the next level
that's superfans right let's see dude
you should go live way more this is rad
brother and you rock by the way I love
my switch pot Thank You professor Nez I
appreciate you for that switch parties
become my official vlog gimbal yes have
you gotten the ball head yet that is a
tool that a lot of people are using that
or love that they're loving to which is
which is really cool let's see my
Catholic kids
at the moment we are at zero K so I've
been trying to just create free
resources for families with our side biz
it's been growing our website visits but
I haven't been pushing hard for email
signups sales if our biz suddenly needed
to become more full-time it would not be
ready to support us we were okay does it
make sense to continue to give and grow
and then pivot to our focus I think that
the big the big thing we need to realize
is number one kudos to you for wanting
to give for free and to be a resource to
help however I think it's also important
that you provide opportunities to have
people interact and transact with you
that's not a bad thing here's the big
lesson you can serve and sell at the
same time okay you can serve and sell at
the same time and if you are providing
these few resources awesome if your
website's growing awesome but if there's
no way for people to give back to you
for things that you can help them with
further then that's a mistake I would
definitely have things available even if
it's just passively up there for people
to check out so there's some
opportunities to give back to you and
this was something I found out six years
later after I started my business yes I
was making money through affiliate
marketing but it wasn't until I had my
own products that I finally started
serving my audience with that I realized
that people were sort of hungry to find
ways to interact more with me to dive
deeper into my stuff and to to to pay me
back in different ways so I would
definitely recommend you
you check that out and you do that Pat
I'm an educational assistant with the
announcement of school closures I lost
my job overnight I questioned my
question coming next okay first of all
Ryan Marsh sorry I'm so sorry to hear
that but also at the same time and I
could congratulate you it was my layoff
that really opened up everything for me
back in the day in 2008 where I also got
let go sort of suddenly and I say
suddenly because although a lot of us
knew it was coming
my higher-ups were not honest with me
they were not forthcoming with what was
coming and they were saying everything
was going to be okay and I would have
just appreciated a lot of transparency
during that time so that's why I was
angry because I just didn't have time
for pear but looking back I'm very
thankful I got let go because it
definitely opened up a lot of a lot of
things for me for sure
let's see I look forward to your
question coming in let's see I'll be
starting a podcast soon and also
thinking about to join a BNI chapter to
provide value through my architectural
services and spread the work do you
recommend joining BNI chapters I think
anywhere where you might be able to get
number one credentials number two the
ability to connect with others number
three have access to people who are
decision makers like heads of chapters
and and being able to serve groups like
that is always great I also think it
provides a you know some great
networking opportunities and in this
online space it could be very useful at
this moment in time what's up just
answering good to see you let's see
Carmen says if I had to pick only one
podcast YouTube which would I choose ah
that that that age-old question for me
