welcome to my office I joints do a quick
video on a company that i've been using
recently in fact i use them just
launched a brand new website for a
client quite a large client with quite
sensitive stuff in terms of their
products and whatnot and yeah within a
day the site had been hacked and brought
down and altering the client was a bit
frantic and you know there was a lot of
excitement let's say now this does
happen with WordPress I've got to say as
much as I love WordPress and and you
know what makes you so popular is also
what makes it a little bit of a week
platform while weeks probably not the
right word but there is a security risk
of WordPress basically because it's so
popular it's often the victim of attacks
I mean all the hackers out there and
other people that are horrible things on
the internet they look for WordPress
sites because there's so many of them
and you know the chances are you'll find
one that's not as secure as it could be
and then you can act into it and do all
sorts of horrible things like you can
you know take it down completely or they
might be more sneaky and just start
putting links and stuff onto your
website without you knowing generally
for SEO benefits black hat SEO that kind
of thing and also you don't people doing
that because it damages your reputation
and and all those kind of things so I'm
kind of waffling on a bit about hackers
and whatnot but yeah they are very bad
people and with a WordPress website you
do have to you know be aware that
they're out there and they're going to
come and get you so yeah security
they're a company that I've used the
number of times because I had a few
WordPress sites hacked unfortunately and
they'll for a monitoring service where
they kind of keep an eye on your website
make sure that it's all nice and safe
and there's nothing horrible installed
and they also offer a removal service
when you have your site has been hacked
and
you know I speak from experience it can
be quite tricky to remove this malware
properly and you know make sure your
site is nice and clean again these guys
are experts and they're often very quick
and very efficient in in their removals
so highly recommended i'll put a link up

lot and they've been excellent and as
with all the companies and products that
i recommend they are things I've used
myself as I would recommend friends and
family because they're really good the
other surface they do offer is a
protection service which is like a
firewall which basis it's between your
website and the visitors coming to a
website and also see the hackers as well
and it filters out all those hackers so
giving you a slight really safe if you
don't want to use security there are a
number of security plugins out there i
recommend once for example that limit
login attempts to stop people trying to
brute force your login and few others
out there that are really good for just
kind of keeping wordpress a bit more
secure than out of the box but the most
important thing that you can do on a
day-to-day basis is also just make sure
that your plugins and the word press
corps is up-to-date well i hope that
