in this video we're gonna be setting up
social media profiles in order to
promote our Amazon affiliate website
we're going to be doing Facebook
Pinterest Twitter and I'm going to show
you how to get some followers and some
likes and what kind of stuff too so well
let's get started

this is the second video in my series of
how to promote your Amazon affiliate
website which I've built on the back of
the very first video which was on how to
create that Amazon affiliate website so
if you haven't got an Amazon affiliate
website do check out the original video
which will take you through setting up
everything you know theme plug-in all
that kind of stuff but yeah in this
video the second one in the series on
how to promote it we are going to be
setting up social media profiles so I'm
talking Facebook Twitter and Pinterest
now the great thing about social media
it's a good way to connect with other
people that are into what you're
promoting on your Amazon affiliate
website so I'm gonna be taking you
through how to create those profiles how
to link them up to your website and then
the sort of things that you need to be
putting up there and how to also more
importantly gain some followers to those
pages so without any more chitchat from
me let's get started and before we do
get started I just wanted to give a
what what's going on with the traffic on
zombie Merc at the moment so I'm just
having a look at my Google Analytics
which we set up in the first video in
this series and I've just brought it
down to just organic traffic because the
thing with my website is it does get a
little bit traffic of Z from YouTube
people check it out that are going to
build on following the video so I just
wanted to cut organic traffic and you
can see that it's already you know got a
trickle coming in in terms of well
nearly ten ten visits a day so well
that's somewhere to start isn't it and
you know go up from there so the good
thing is though I can actually start to
see that a few keywords are generating
traffic like best zombie books perfect
and some other long kind of tail
keywords so yeah that's a quick update
traffic is starting to come in
organically if we kind of look overall
it's doing okay say quite a bit is
direct end from YouTube and stuff but
yeah before each video I will update you
on the stats so that you can see exactly
what I'm doing in whether it's working
you know for my own site but hey enough
of that let's get on doing those social
media stuff okay so I'm back over at the
zombie web site zombie murder calm which
you're familiar with I'm sure if you've
been following my videos and the first
thing we're gonna start with is the
social media profiles now social media
is going to be very important in terms
of driving traffic and building
reputation on your website they're also
a great place to share your content but
also find like-minded people that are
into the kind of products that you've
got on your website so we're gonna start
by setting up the biggest one which is
Facebook so I'm sure you've already got
a Facebook account if you haven't you're
going to need to create one and then
when you logged into your Facebook and
what you need to do is go over to this
little arrow at the top right hand
corner and you need to create a page and
follow this little wizard now it's not
it's quite hard to work out which one of
these you are whether you're a local one
it's not a local business and your
company may be a clausal community it
will go for a company organization or
institution and then go what should we
go for their retail retail perfect and
put the name in there click get started
and it should go away and create your
page for you so now we need to go for
this wizard and start filling in some
information so obviously you can change
this later if you can't think of it
right now but you know you can start by
filling this in
on Amazon free we've got books toys
games t-shirts and more I think this is
very important you need to put the
website address it and then you need to
choose your Facebook and name so all
kind of web address so it's obviously
best just to try and keep it the same
click Save
so here we need to upload a logo I've
got a square version of my logo which I
think works best and when it comes to
social media rather than they're kind of
more landscape horizontal type one so
just find that on my computer I think
it's in here there it is
so I'm just going to upload there we go
next
you connect to your favorites so just
appears on the left outside on your
Facebook who is up third page audience
so anyone
I don't really matter I can be anywhere
really and but their interests is zombie
and I'll do for now I don't know what
that does but I'm going to be into a
zombie basically which is a lot of
people wanna quit so here's our page and
obviously you can like it which is good
idea I'm going to like it you can invite
your friends if you want to not going to
do that right now
and and there we go so there's not much
on here right now you can add a cover
photo which again needs to be kind of
wide photo and you can design what you
like I've got one on my computer but
I've got must have something that I've
got on here let's have a look like so
like that might be all right just for
now so I'm just gonna click open that's
going to blow
that looks alright for now obviously we
could probably come up with something a
bit better if we had the time but I'm
not gonna go into graphic design and all
sorts of things in this video and I'll
leave that to you let's click Save
Changes so the key thing with Facebook
is it's going to be a great place for
you to post stuff from your website so
for example you come over to your
website and find something cool like
this zombie Aquabot and then you just
simply would copy the link you need to
write something ideally loving this
zombie inspired shark and then that's
going to pull over the image hopefully
or not Lana let's click publish I want
to as I pulled over the image that's
interesting maybe we need to make an
adjustment on the website let's go back
and just going to dashboard because
sometimes a WordPress doesn't always
present the images properly to Facebook
but luckily there is a plug-in that
should helpful for that I'm going to
search for Facebook image hopefully this
one Facebook fun fix I should be the one
we need fix the problem of missing or
wrong Facebook images so let's install
this warning blur blur blur blur blur

all right saying that we should use
yes it says how quick look
which we have set up about it's not
working so I'm just going to leave the
Facebook fun things I'm just still
happen let's go back to Facebook so
let's go back to topic so I'm going to
pick a different product because that
one thing is Facebook kind of caches
stuff so it might not work with the
shark let's go something else and this
zombies looks good looks like a good
game is it yeah so I'm just going to
remove that one yes I do Larry up
amazing zombie game for up to six
players see if the image comes through
it hasn't hmm okay well we're gonna have
to just do it bit bit manually let's
just go back to the finger save image as
I figure out what's going on now we'll
add something in the notes below this
video but I'm not going to spend ages
trying to figure it out right now it's
not a but when you can easy just do this
you just right-click neeraj save it go
back to Facebook click this and if I
need you to download it and then you can
do it manually like that that should
work

better perfect go got there in the end
okay so we are going to need some likes
obviously got one like at the moment
which is me the best way to get likes is
I also invite your friends and hang out
on Zombie related groups or see whatever
your products are about and the other
option you've got is to run a little
kind of Facebook campaign which I find a
really good way of just getting your
face book page kind of going you know
get a little bit of momentum behind it
you can just you could do it for just 5
bucks and you click boat page here and
you can type you below saying location
and whether they're into zombies
whatever so let's run this now and we'll
see what we get for our for $5.00
it's just already set up but you'll have
to add payment details if you haven't
already so I'm just going to click
promote I will see Emily likes we get
for our 5 dollars and I'll report back
on that in another video probably one
after this okay the other thing we can
do is create a call to action which is
good so we can select something like
shop now and then add our website
address
which adds a cool little button to the
top of the page it's asking if one is
promote it which we may do later right
so that's our Facebook page done we now
need to link it just on our website so
just going to copy the URL which is the
zombie right because I set up a minute
again because if you remember in the e
tutorial I set up these little social
icons across the top and they're not
right moment so we need to just set them
up so let me go back into the dashboard
I'm going to go down to Kingdom layout
I think it's under photos it no that
would be weird
social setup that's where it is so in
fact look it's right actually I guessed
what it was going to be before I even
done it but I'll just updated with the
crepe on there and that's it so the next
one we're going to do is going to be
Twitter so I'm going to save this
setting so if we go over to Twitter now
Twitter doesn't have a pages kind of
thing I'm still t logged in as me I'm
going to log out I'm going to create a
new account so to do that I think just
going to need to go back to the main
Twitter homepage like this fill in this
form which has been Auto filled in it

now I'm not sure if it's going to allow
me to use the same email I've used for
other ones so I'm going to need to have
an email address
zombie marcom which you can set up on
your hosting which I haven't done just
yet so I need to go over to educator and
do that so I go over to your host if
it's okay to go there if it's someone
else and you'll have to log into their
control panel and to my customer portal
I'm gonna go into hosting pick the right
website then here you got email accounts
allows you to set up your email boxes so
I'm going to create Lumbee yet there a
Jenner put a password in I can remember
in fact ralph and generate one i must
put the quota as unlimited click create
account that's done now you can
obviously set that account up on your
phone order if you want to or within
most cater here you've got this webmail
access so then you can just check your
email online if you need to but I've
seen something and I'm not going to go
through setting up email right now but
let's go back to Twitter and I can use
that email address now and put a
password in let's click sign up again I
don't know why what's the phone number
or let's skip that for now using Amy
zombie back no someone's already taken

hmm don't know who else had to think of

and let's go for zombie back store
perfect that's a little bit annoying but
never mind I need to do all this stuff I
don't want to do this stuff
yeah whatever no I don't want that okay
we need to add our profile pic chicken
is I'm just going to use I want to use
on Facebook for now where did I put that
I think I've got such a messy computer
and then find out what I need there we
go and it seems whenever I'm recording a
video it seems to want to run a little
bit slower than usual as well there we
go let's skip all this stuff for now
it's a bit of a pointless exercise for
this sort of account ok saying that it
sent a email that we need to check so
let's go back to our secure or webmail
login or whatever however you're going
to be accessing your email
anything to do hopefully we've got an
email not yet
from Twitter maybe we'll take a minute
or two to come through so we'll come
back to that in a sec okay so if we go
over here we can have a look at our
think we've got no tweets of C as yet
you can add a cover photo if you like I
might as well add the same one as I do
for Facebook for now all that one to mix
it up a bit that's quite cool but I'll
do that I just kind of look Zambia's
perfect and Twitter again similar to
Facebook it's a great way of promoting
your products and promoting your content
so let's go and go back to our website
and pick a product or two and tweet
about them now when you're tweeting you
want to tag stuff with relevant words to
your products that way it will get
picked up by other people that are into
yeah your products and let's go in and
pick a nice t-shirt or a hoodie it's
kind of hoodie time isn't it but I'm
going to tweet this so just going to
copy the link go back here go write my
own tweet here great for the cold
weather
zombi hoodie paste a link then I'm going
to tag it with with a hashtag zombie
small they're coming up suggestions on
the apocalypse perfect so there's our
first tweet let's go and do another one
let's have a quick look at another that
I saw a cool this one Adventure Time
officially-licensed Adventure Time
zombie t-shirt perfect sounds good again
we could probably hook on some other
hashtags with that sort of thing it's
going to close these messages
okay tweet official I'm going to tag it
as adventure time there is a hashtag
look and zombie you can include hashtags
within the tweet sometimes you want to
save space get one now before they go so
we've got two tweets that's perfect
we're ready followers or anything yet
now we're Twitter a good way to get some
followers is to follow people that are
into what you do so if we do a little
search on Twitter for zombie and you
need all that stuff come up let's go to
accounts and I'm just going to start
following a few of these zombie things
and hopefully because I'll see all these
people will get an education that I've
started following them and hopefully
they will follow me back not all of them
will but some of them will and it's a
way of getting the kind of again the
momentum going like all these things you
need somewhere to start and you know
followers grow followers so if you get a
few going learn more will come be like
zombies really
so all of these are good I'm not gonna
overdo it too much on the first guy I
mean I suggest you kind of come back and
just do this every other day rather than
being you know crazy and doing like five
six hundred in a day because Twitter
might think you're up to something funny
I think these are probably enough to get
going I don't know how many I've done
maybe 30 or 40
lots of good zombie stuff the other
thing you can do to get some recognition
is retweet and stuff so if I go over to
live and look for some interesting
zombie stuff as our tweet perfect
maybe that looks interesting this tweet
then you start retweeting other people's
stuff they'll again will hopefully read
your stuff follow you etc that sort of
thing so just look for good stuff I mean
I'm being a bit quick and blase here
there's another great the tweet and but
yeah you want to pick out some good one
who look that's interesting looks good
so yeah that's Twitter so again we need
to link this up onto the website before
heading get Samba Merc did I I we need
to check that email as well let's have a
look use anything in here refresh no
sometimes I can't take a little wild
come through so don't worry too much
about that so you know is emblematic
store let's link that up on the website
and go back into dashboard and into
Kingdom layout
social and placed it in it take this
YouTube app because we haven't got a
YouTube just yet but again it might be
something you want to do in the future
obviously creating YouTube content is
quite tricky compared to the others so
the last one I'm going to do is
Pinterest Pinterest again is great place
to share your pictures and products and
stuff and get links to your website and
as well which is useful for SEO I'm good
but then all that was about so I'm
already logged in I'm not sure if you
can create I don't think you can have
kind of yeah you can't pages like
Facebook so I'm gonna look at and create
a new account call it zombie gamer calm
sign up first name surname zombie Merc
age no 35 custom gender mmm interesting
and then come on in
I'm gonna do a search for zombie over
nice Kelly Brooke is you look at this
stuff that's just follow all this looks
good I've already got the Browse button
that's useful if you want to just pin
stuff straight for your website it out
to copy and paste stuff so I'll show you
how that works in a sec yeah I've
already got it thank you
so it's just building up my feed and
here we go
click up here I can have a look at my
page board whatever they call it on in I
obviously need some stuff pin to it so
again let's go back to our website and
pin a few products from here from a few
different categories diary of the
minecraft zombie whatever that is so
yeah the pin button I've got in my brows
up here just click pin then you can pick
the one you want which is that one
create a board called stuff to buy
that sounds good doesn't it
and that's done so it's just and that's
also on someone else's board it's very
fresh that should be on here there we go
now when you are doing pins I'm not sure
I funded it on this one actually but it
will create a link I just clicked with
view is it now even but you can if you
like I don't add a link within the text
so which may or may not have kind of
more benefit for SEO as it where so
you'll end up in the description but to
be honest you're probably just fine just
using a little pin but and it's out of
it there but the link is there on that
visitor button so it should all be fine
so yeah you're going to want to pin a
few of your products and put them into
different boards and you want to break
it down now you know books or whatever
so it's really up to you so let's just
pin this t-shirt as well create a board
called a zombie t-shirts
there we go that's cool now again you're
going to want to get some followers and
also you need to set your logo so click
edit profile change picture and fill in
these kind of things including you know
the usual stuff books bookings books
I'll type today
obviously link your website
ah copy and paste let alone type okay
let's go back where's my tabs now here
we go now I wants to kind of whatever
verify me think you may be able to do
this with Yoast let's just have a look
I'm just going to copy that code I may
be wrong let's have a look kind of
making this video up as I go along today
but hopefully it's going to come out all
right in the Edit and then I'm going to
go to SEO because if you go sorryy SEO
and social in here there is some ways of
verifying stuff yep there we go
I'm just going to paste that number in
there and then that will create the meta
tag whatever it wants for us finish
confirm website it's done perfect so
that's uh Pinterest and we're going to
need to get some people following us
otherwise we're just a little page out
here no one's gonna know we're here so
the search for zombie again you'd
obviously search for whatever your
website's about and what you could look
for is pin ads so these are people that
pin stuff about zombies and again and
the similar idea to what we did on
Twitter if we follow these people then
hopefully they will follow us back so
let's follow a few leads
so I'm going to do this four and pull
that one looks a bit rude we were just
going to follow all these people that
are some be inspired obviously and again
like on Twitter I don't go too crazy in
terms of them doing a thousand one day
because Pinterest will think you're
doing something funny just do a couple
of hundred a day
oh I'll click through just a zombie
Queen hang on that was a mistake and
what you'll find I reckon maybe 10 to
15% people will follow you back so for
every hundred people you follow you're
going to get 10 to 15 followers yourself
and you really need that because when
you're posting stuff on Pinterest and
tweeting and light Pesta you need people
to kind of repin and retweet and like in
order for you to get some authority and
in order for all this to really do
anything in terms of give you any SEO
value and give you some traffic so it's
going to follow you something about some
quite interesting pictures on that but
blimey zombie hooker mmm sure these are
two zombie related but hey that's ER
I'll click one again you get the idea so
yeah I'm gonna go away and do this and
I'll see you in a sec okay so I'm
following a hundred thirty nine people
and what your followers just yet so also
happens on that so let's link this up on
the website
so back to to hear them into Kingdom and
paste that in there see if that emails
come from Twitter yet no I'm sure it
will come later but I'll do that but it
gets it don't need to wait around in
this video okay so we've got our social
media profiles all set up now and ready
to go you can get busy doing this and
obviously trying to build up some
followers whether you pay for a Roshan
on Facebook where you just follow loads
of people and retweet their stuff and
repin their stuff on Pinterest so
repinning is also good way all just
liking people stuff is also a good way
to get attention so if I just do a quick
search on zombie again I go to pins
these happens cool like that infographic
is pretty cool and
oh this is my little tip actually have
just stumbled across it I just clicked
there on the likes accidentally and it
show me who liked that to get a zombie
related thing all these people did so
these are also good people to follow
because they like zombie stuff but just
like that which was on be related so you
can kind of assume that they they like
zombie stuff so let's follow these lot
as well not really too many walkers have
nearly already follow 200 people which
is pretty too many for one day me but
maybe about right now more than two it
that's fine but let's get about what I
was going to do is let's just expand
this pin because it looks really cool
and click in this is cool so I'm going I
like it which again will make me appear
at the bottom there and something likes
it which gives me links and gives me
exposure so the thing we're setting up
social profiles is especially on like
pinterest and twitter is if you just set
it up and don't do anything you know
don't engage if people don't like stuff
don't retweet stuff that repin stuff
don't follow your little page is just
kind of out there on its own there's no
one linking to it it's not appearing
anywhere else on the site probably
what's called an orphan page in the
trade which doesn't have any value
google won't find it no one will find it
it's just pointless you start though
stuff like this you start liking and
pinning stuff and whatever you'll get
recognized people follow you and you
start to get links to your social
profile page or see on those social
profile pages we've also added links to
our website so all that stuff don't
flows back to your website it's a good
for SEO but it also brings traffic with
it too so I'm just gonna click pin it
and I'm going to create a new board for
zombie could even have probably one on
zombie infographics I bet there is
enough out there and these are great
things to pin rickle they're interesting
and funny and look good and all the rest
of it so yeah ivory pinned it and I've
liked it so yeah that's a good way of
getting some exposure that's it was
anything else that's there's another one
look I might as well don't mind if I do
like it in it I've already got an
infographic board so perfect there we go
so yeah don't only just pin your own
stuff on these stuff or tweet your own
stuff that's just boring find some other
good stuff and tweak that as well and
pin it and
it'll make you kind of an interesting
place to go I wrap this video up now
because it's probably gone quite long on
technically social media profiles and in
the next video what we're going to do is
start getting some content and building
some other links to the website via a
few ways that I know about so yeah check
that out hopefully I'll be next week
