eagle calm in this quick video I'm going
to take you through adding a menu to a
particularly useful if you want to add
some links to other pages to your footer
or to a sidebar for example so I'm gonna
do it on this test site that I've got
here you can see now if you want to make
a website at this by the way I've got a
tutorial on that just check out my
channel it's called out to making a
website at 2015 I believe and we go free
making this website that you see right
before you now but what I'm going to do
is if we've got on to bottom we've got
this footer area now this is made up of
widgets and what I'm going to do is I'm
just going to create a menu and then I'm
going to add it to one of these columns
here probably this first one so what I'm
going to do start with i'm going to log
into my wordpress website and obviously
you will need to do the same on your
website it doesn't have to be this theme
this works for any wordpress website
that's using any theme we logged in now
and what you need to do first is create
the menu so i'm going to go into
appearance and menus and then need to
click create a new menu give it a name
i'm gonna call it we've really created
one called widget menu this one can be
called widget menu for video just so
that i know what it is but you can call
it whatever you like and then you need
to obviously add some pages so let's
just pick some random pages that we've
got here that'll do nicely and then
click Save
so now we've got our menu we just need
to simply add it to a widget so to do
that we're going to widgets now your
theme is going to have different side
bars I've seen different widget areas
depending on how its set out what I'm
going to do is add it to this what's
called a pre footer and I'm going to
replace this bit of text which we had in
that first column on the footer if you
remember so just going to delete that
text widget and then what I need is a
custom menu widget which is this one
right here so I'm going to drag it over
to there I'm going to select the menu
that I just created which is widget menu
for video and give it a name you know
say something like more about as
whatever you want to call it click saver
then if we go back to the front of the
website will have a scroll down to the
foot sir it's quite a long page here we
go you can see that there is our menu
there and our links i just created so
i'll see that widget could be added
anywhere where you can have a widget I
