calm and this is just a real quick video
just to show you how to disable comments
and trackbacks on your WordPress posts
and pages and so let's jump straight in
the WB Google contest site and I've got
a post here which I did in my last video
for SEO and if we click on it you'll see
that you're able to add a comment at the
bottom and now on some pages and posts
you're going to want to turn off these
comments because a you get quite a bit
of spam through them and be also things
like trackbacks will automatically
appear and if you're not if they're
switched on so you can do it on two
levels you can either do it on a per
post or per post sorry or per page level
where you disable or enable comments
yeah on each page and post and so what
you do that is of see I've willing to
edit the post here and what you're
looking for is the discussion options
now they're not always switched on by
default like on this site here they're
not switched on so you're going to need
to go up to screen options and then
you're going to need to click discussion
and we'll set that that's done as its
added it at the bottom here and so we
can quickly you know just turn that on
off as a man we want to so I've turn
that off let's update and have a good
look at the post
you
and they're gone so the second way to do
it is to turn them off for the entire
site so if we go back into the admin
area and then if you go into settings
and discussion you can see here allow
people to post comments on your articles
if you turn that off you can still turn
it on on a per page per post basis using
the options i just showed you two
seconds ago so let's save that and
that's all switched off there you go
