Eagle calm and in this video we're going

to be installing a plug-in onto our

WordPress website so let's begin first

place I'd recommend you check out is the

plug-in directory which you can find if

you do a search for wordpress plugins or

go to this address up here and on here

you'll find all of the free plug-ins

that are available and you can do a

search and you know just enter some

keywords based on what you're looking

and to do with your WordPress site so

there's plugins for SEO there's plugins

for images for basically anything that

you need I've you know whenever I need

to do so our website I always come here

first do a search and quite often you'll

find a plug-in that will you know fix

your problem or add that functionality

that you need to your website so let's

quickly install the plugin there's two

ways of doing it you can either download

a plug-in and then upload it to your

wordpress website and so we'll do that

first or the second way is you can

install it directly from the backend of

WordPress from the dashboard if your

host allows you to do that so let's

start with a download way so I'm here

I'm going to just pick the first one

which is this plug-in called jetpack and

which gives you some extra features so

if we click here or give us a bit more

information so you can find out about

the plug-in and read some reviews you

then obviously click download

and it's going to download the plugin

let's just save that

and then what you want to do is to go to

your WordPress website make sure you

logged in go to the dashboard and then

down the left-hand side go into plugins

and click add new

now we're going to do is select upload

we're going to choose the file that we

just downloaded which is in my documents

will get back

and click installer than that's just

going to upload

and it's uploaded

so let's click activate

and that plugins installed and ready to

go

and you can see it here in the list of

our plugins get rid of a plug-in you

simply deactivate it and then you can

click delete and confirm and that would

delete all the files you done now the

second way and probably the quickest and

easiest way is to when you're in the

back of here in plugins if you go to add

new again and type in the name of the

plug-in or some keywords so that was

jetpack pneus just do a search

there it is then all you need to do is

click install confirm

and it basically does it all

automatically for you this gets to take

a few minutes to download and we're done

click activate

and we're up running so if you can if

you're on a good host I'd go for the one

round the back just clicking add new do

a search select the plug-in click
