Making YouTube Videos with a Canon & Screenflow

hello is Alex here from WP Eagle calm
thanks for dropping by now this is a
rerecord the original video I've left on
the channel anyway but I'll I thought
I'd do another one
and it's basically to do with the
equipment that I used to record my
videos now I did one as I said a little
while ago and the sound didn't turn out
that great which was a bit embarrassing
I'm not showing off you know all my
microphones and things like that
so as you can see I work out of my small
office here and what I'm doing to record
this video is I'm using my Canon 70d
which I'll try to show you there with
the iPhone and yeah it's a lovely DL SLR
camera I'm using the very bright light
as you can see which I'll just turn off
for a second because it's very bright
I'll give you a better view so yeah I've
got a powerful LED light which I will
post a link to in the futur cotton ball
is exactly cool but it is really good
I'm using the rode shotgun mic which
just kind of sits in the shoe there I've
got a hot shoots bits of things so I can
get I think on top of the camera great
thing about this camera this entity is
it's got this viewfinder which flips
around as you can see so you can frame
your shots really nicely so let's go
back to the other camera and get the
light on there we go
back on you see the difference the light
breaks there like dark like that so
other thing other things amusing is off
to the tripod which I keep kicking in
this particular video and then over here
on the computer I've got a blue snowball
mic which I've dropped a few times which
is why I keep getting crackly sound out
again so this probably needs to be
replaced but it's a good little mic with
a that's not might USB great for doing
your voiceovers in terms of on the
computer I'm using a piece of software
called
screenflow which well let me show you
this get it going ScreenFlow is a piece
of art it's available for Macs only I
believe and it's available on the App
Store it's less than a hundred dollars
I'm sure of that so it's it's really
good value for money
okay so ScreenFlow is loading now it's
just preparing to record basically all
we do is click a button and set your
microphone up and to record the screen
and you can record your pointer as well
and your keystrokes
all sorts of things that are really good
for doing you know the Klan videos I do
screen sharing tutorial type videos and
well let me show you come on let's have
a look at the screen and as you can see
I'm editing the video that you're
watching right now it's really easy to
just make like your Clips and whatever
else will your recordings that you can
do with ScreenFlow itself so here for
example is my end card image it's just
an image that I've dropped in and I can
place it this this red line is obviously
what we're looking at right now but as
we moved for the video there's that
thing and you can just move stuff around
if we don't want to take out a piece of
a clip I can just click it and then you
know split the clip up maybe Rafal it a
bit and then split the clip again I like
then just press the Delete key and
remove that chunk of video obviously I
can undo it all as well so yeah really
great piece of software so yeah if
you're into making videos especially
tutorial type videos like mine I suggest
you go check it out
I hope this video has been useful as say
is a kind of remaking for video I did a
while ago and hopefully the sound is a
bit better on this video with respect to
sound I'm trying to watch my breathing a
little bit I had a common together.they
on a video regarding my breath Innes in
between what I'm talking so I'm now
determined to try and not be as breathy
when I'm doing my videos so hopefully
that's coming across as well but you
know I'll keep trying on that if you
like what I'm doing and you like to
learn about WordPress and all that kind
of stuff then please subscribe and and
all that business and I will see you
soon thanks for watching
