today I wanted to take you through a
theme I've just been working on and it
guys it basically it's a blue commerce
theme which makes it a fully e-commerce
ready to go theme I have a shoot it for
a client for a new e-commerce site that
I've been setting up and yeah as I said
I've just been blown away with how good
it is
so let me without any further ado let's
let's take a look now the theme is
called the retailer and it's failed on
theme forest for $55 and which is a
great price and some of the features
that it comes with it's fully responsive
so it works great on your Mobile's it's
got a fantastic slider which is really
easy to use Google Fonts support and
also retina support which you don't see
that much on themes at the moment which
means it will look great on an you know
iPad with a retina or Mac with a Retina
display
okay so let's have a quick look around
the demo and I'll just show you why I
love this theme so much um it's got as I
said slider which we'll have a look at
in a minute on the back end but it's
basically really easy to use drag and
drop kind of style it's got some
built-in banners which look really cool
you know just in general the whole
design of the site and what the theme is
really really nice and clean
when you click through to product pages
they have nicely large images obviously
built in review system built in all your
social buttons which is really cool and
yet as you can see it's just a great
great looking theme terms of things like
check out it's got a one page check out
really nice ax shopping basket or bag
and yeah a nice one page
check out
so this is the site that I've recent
been working on um you can see it looks
a bit different to the the demo but you
know it's the same theme just changed
colors added a few extra plugins and
make it your own you know this is a
birthday card site which use the same
theme and yet the customers just been
blown away with it so let's have a look
at the theme options and I'll show you
exactly why it looks so great so
obviously you go into theme options and
it's got this lovely back-end so you can
change your main layouts you can add a
favicon favicon both a retina version as
well you've got you know options to tell
if the slider for mobiles all kinds of
really cool things with the shop you
know there are just tons and tons of
really good options which is what makes
it so flexible you know a lot of the
themes you buy nowadays they don't have
the functionality and the options that
you need to in order to customize it as
much as you'd like so yeah you know it's
just so easy to work with and just
really well-written the thing that blew
me away was it comes with this plugin
called revolution slider which I'm not
sure if you guys have seen before
um because we've all used sliders before
but I've never seen one as good as this
so basically you know you create your
slides you add your image and you get a
whole load of different you know options
as you'd expect different transitions
and you know set the times but it's just
in the blooming way it's basically you
can just add elements and drag them
around you know you gather an image and
then you could just drag it but it where
you want it and then you set the
transitions and have them you know come
flying in or sliding out all that kind
of stuff you know it just looks really
good it also means that you know your
clients can break the slider as much as
they like and you know these slides that
are coming up here you know they're not
maybe as great as a graphic designer do
but you know it allows them to update it
on a regular basis which is you know
really important and you know drop on
the images and you know on this kind of
thing you can even have a click-through
on each one of these images so you could
take people straight for it to the
correct plug correct product
so anyway yeah that's my review the
theme is called the retailer I would
HIGHLY highly highly recommend it I'd
say it's got everything you need let's
get responsive and you know you've
gotten and the response if there you
know it just looks great on a phone it's
just a really really good theme
I found the support to be excellent I've
posted a few questions on there I think
they've got like a tick see you know
type a support system and the responses
have come back very quickly and have
been useful and so yeah I can't really
fault the theme I would highly recommend
it for your next ecommerce project using
obviously WooCommerce which again is a
plugin which if you have been using on
your ecommerce site so I definitely
recommend you check out it's a free
plug-in by woot team so I'll post all
the links that you need in the
description in the details below so yeah
