hey what is up this is Tyler Pratt in
this video I want to talk to you about
why you can't make money with affiliate
marketing and if a quick simple fix all
make money online you want to become a
total boss you want to become the really
the total boss of your life you want to
you want you to make more money and have
more freedom well this is a place to do
it and what I want to talk to you about
is why you're struggling in affiliate
marketing why you can't make money how
we can fix that really quick now before

yourself so affiliate marketing if
you're not familiar with it it's where
you promote a product and you get paid a
percentage on it ok you just send
traffic to a product it could be a sales
page it could be a digital product
anything like that when something if
somebody buys that product you're gonna
get paid a percentage on that can we it
can be 10 percent all the way up to 100
percent on that product okay now you
probably the first thing if I were to
ask yourself when you hear 100% paid out
of the product that should be your first
clue there's something might be not be
wrong why would somebody give me a
hundred percent on the product okay the
key to this is that when you said
traffic and and there's a lot of let me
just step back and everything there's a
lot of these gurus out through selling
these products they're just saying you
know go off and promote a product you if
you spend a dollar and you get back to
dollars then all you do is you just
scale up to a million dollars an hour
okay
and I'm theory that sounds great but the
reality is it doesn't really work and
they're just like these people are
selling these products that they don't
really actually do themselves okay if
you spend a dollar on Facebook ads and
you try to send that to an offer and you
get paid you know the percentage on that
it's never going to equal out where you
get a dollar and get back to it's just
never gonna do it because there's one
fatal flaw to this you're not really
gaining the customer okay you're not
getting the customer to follow up take
for example Amazon if you sell a product
if you're promoting a product to say a
camera on Amazon okay you send that you
send somebody to the your affiliate link
through Amazon and what happens is is
that somebody buys the product okay you
make a sale you're happy you make a
little Commission but who has that
customer Amazon has that kumusta
customer and what do you think Amazon is
gonna do with that customer you're going
to upsell the out of them okay they
everyone - absolutely just crush it why
because they're going to take that
camera and now they're gonna promote a
camera stand they're gonna they're gonna
promote a camera bag you're gonna
promote camera lenses they're gonna
promote all these other stuff it's gonna
go along with the camera and do you get
paid on that you don't so what I teach
people to and what I want you to do is
if you really want to crush affiliate
marketing is you grab the customers okay
the guys that are really crushing it the
way that I make all my money is I grab
the customer first before I send off to
an advertiser that's why I'm always
sending to a lead capture page I'm
always sitting first to get a name and
email and I'm always giving away
something for free it could be a
training it could be a video it could be
you know a free report I'm giving that
away for free as a bribe to get that
email once I get that email then I can
email over and over again different
products different different information
if somebody goes and buys a product at a
particular affiliate link I still have
that customer they buy that product I
can send them another product if they
like that when they buy that one if they
if I send another product if they don't
like it no problem but I've taken that
first customer that I've acquired either
through free methods or buying I've
taken that customer and now what I've
done is I've sold I could I can sell
three or four number products to them I
can sell ten products but if I just took
that that that buyer potential buyer our
customers I set them straight to an
affiliate offer and that's it either
they bought it or they didn't buy I
don't have a customer I'm not able to
follow up with that customer so it's
important that if you're gonna make
money with affiliate marketing and the
reason why you're struggling is because
you're not picking up that customer okay
and that doesn't mean that the
talking about if you know when you send
to a you know affiliate offer they make
the sale that's their customer that's
fine but you want to have the customer
on the front end you build that customer
base on the front end and then you offer
the products it's all the money in
affiliate marketing is all done on the
back end it's all done through you know
the back end sales so if somebody comes
into your funnel you grab that person
you give away something of value you
give away some training they get into
your your you know get into your email
list they get on your your YouTube
subscribe wherever they're going to be
at they're gonna be your customer and
now you can able to follow up with them
over and over and over again and they
might buy hunter products from you but
they might get to the point where they
buy one little product and you upsell
them to maybe a higher ticket product
maybe a ten thousand or fifteen thousand
dollar training or a big coaching
program that you have off that one
customer but if you sent them directly
to an affiliate offer and they didn't do
anything you might have lost that
customer forever and now you've you're
not gaining any any you know any money
from that okay so when somebody tells
you that put a dollar in and you get
back two dollars only to do is send it
to an affiliate offer I want you to
smack them over the head and tell them
that there's they're wrong and they're
selling a bunch of crap information
because the thing is when you send
somebody and they offer 100 percent
commissions they know that once they get
that customer from you that they can
upsell that customer over and over and
over again so they might give away 100
percent Commission's on the front end
but they know that they can make you
know 10x their money on the back end
with that customer it's exactly what
Amazon does okay they've been doing it
for years and that's the same model that
a lot of you know big marketers are
doing that's exactly what I do with my
business I get a customer in and then I
offer products and services and then I
upsell them and then my tedx my money on
the back end so what if I put in a
dollar I can make back ten dollars from
that initial dollar but I would only be
able to do that by acquiring that
customer what the way you do that is
just by putting instead of always trying
to make a sale with your traffic is you
you try to create some value you try to
create some type of
of in you know anything to create value
in order to get somebody's email and
being able to follow up with them okay
that's your first entry point is maybe
it could be a dollar you know a dollar
product that you sell or it could be a
free product that you sell anything on
the very low end of that is going to be
where you acquire that potential
customer and once you get them into your
funnel then you can upsell them and then
Tenace your money okay now if you want

you're sending traffic straight to an

on that you're you're just gonna be
losing money and you're gonna get
frustrated and you're just going to make
you're just gonna wonder why you're just
spinning your wheels the reason why
you're spinning the wheels because you
can't follow up you have an acquire the
customer and you're not going to make
