Wordpress Basics: Setting the Homepage tutorial #Best Education Page #Online Earning

hi it's Alex here from WP eagle calm in

this video we can be setting a page as

the home page on our WordPress website

this video is part of my WordPress

fundamental basics playlist something

like that I'm named it yet while I

record this but it's gonna be soon all

that which basically covers all of the

basics and fundamentals of WordPress and

lots of short easy to follow videos so

be sure to check that out if you're all

just learning WordPress right now but

without any magician for me let's go and

set that home page okay let's set up our

home page then I want to do is going to

create a new page to start with and I'm

gonna call it home page which I think

would be a good thing to call it but you

can call it whatever you like I'm just

gonna add some example text like this is

the home page I'll make it bold so you

can see I'll paste some lorem ipsum in

there too just to fill it out a bit and

then I'm going to publish that page I've

see on your home page you can and

obviously depending on the theme you're

using you can add whatever you like you

could add videos columns images whatever

you like and a lot of themes have a lot

of tools that you can use to create some

great home pages we'll see this is the

basic I think 2015 theme so it doesn't

have too many features you can just add

text and images and whatever but the

this principle is still the same it

doesn't matter which theme you're using

really so you've got home page and now

we just need to set that as the home

page I either the default page loads and

someone visits the website and to do

that we go into settings and then

reading settings and then what we're

gonna do is again where we selected the

blog in another video if you've seen

that one we're gonna here we're gonna

set our front page and I'm gonna select

that page that I've just created I

called home page I'm gonna click Save

then I'm gonna visit the website and

there's our home page so yet you see

there's no nothing after the URL there

it's just the home page

these are on the pages which do have a

URL okay so that concludes this video
