2 Minute Daily Gratitude Meditation | HeartMath Meditation Technique


hey this is stefan from
projectlifemastery.com and today i'm
going to share with you a simple
2-minute exercise that can allow you to
get yourself out of your head and into
your heart and really allow you to
experience more of the positive emotions
that you want in your life whether
there's gratitude or love or happiness
or joy or laughter or fun or playfulness
or peace or fulfillment whatever cause
of emotions you're really after this is
an amazing way to allow yourself and get
out of your head and into your heart to
really experience it at the deepest
level because if you want to experience
all those emotions at a much deeper
level it requires you to get out of your
head your head is amazing for a lot of
things it's amazing for setting goals
and consuming information and content
and learning and it's amazing for
strategizing and planning and achieving
things but it's horrible for happiness
it's horrible for joy it's horrible
person stillman horrible for gratitude
is horrible for love that requires you
to get out of your head and into your
hearts because your brain is amazing as
it is it's designed to keep us safe and
protected so it's always going to look
for and find what's wrong what's missing
oftentimes our head is the source of a
lot of pain a lot of stress a lot of
anxiety a lot of fear a lot of anger a
lot of frustration it's all coming from
up in her head and so I believe we've
got to cultivate a ritual a ritual every
single day every single morning all
through the day to live in our hearts to
be heart driven not head driven all the
time they will have that balance in
other lives and for me this is something
that I do again takes two minutes I'm
going to show you how to do it I'm going
to demonstrate it for you you can
rewatch this video if you want but it'll
allow you to experience that at a much
deeper level and the better that you get
the either easier it becomes and a lot
of what I'm the shirt you guys is based
on the heart map Institute what they
found is that our heart has its own
intelligence they call it heart
intelligence just like our brain and our
heart is they're created before we even
have a brain we're in the room and what
they found is that our heart and brain
they send electrical energy to each
other signals and that they've done all
the studies and the science and the
research where they found that when they
measure the brain on an EEG and that ECG
for the heart that when your anger when
you're stressed when you're frustrated
anxiety what happens is they're out of
sync and oftentimes it's very jagged the
brain you know the brain waves in the
scan versus when you feel emotions like
gratitude and love and happiness enjoy
all the good ones they go in sync
they're coherent there's a rhythm of
that and your heart and they bring and
they activate and they work together and
it's a beautiful thing you can check out
the book the hard math solution if you
want to learn more but they've got a
technique in it called the free string
and I'm going to show you a little bit
of it right here I kind of modified it a
little bit the question that I like to
ask myself when I get out of my head
into my heart so let's begin let me
guide you through this experience I'm
going to go through it myself and then
explain what I'm doing so all you got to
do first and foremost is you know
whatever emotion you're experiencing
whether it's a negative one stress
anxiety fantastic opportunity to use
this and to get yourself out of your
head into your heart or be proactive
with it you know I don't wait for
something bad to happen or if you need
to feel a negative emotion to do this
often I do this first thing in the
morning or throughout the day just to
make sure they're really feeling the
emotions I want more than my life so
don't think you only have to do this
when you're angry or frustrated or
stressed or anxious okay you can do this
at any moment but what I like to do
first is I just pause whatever moment
that I'm in and I first put my hands on
my heart I close my eyes and I really
focus on my breathing first and foremost
so I'll taking a deep breath in and you
can do this as you're watching this or
as you're listen to my voice right now
taking a deep breath in put your hands
on your heart close your eyes and really
focus on breathing in your heart and
your mind might not be able to
understand that or overthink that but
just trust just pretend imagine as if
you're really breathing in your heart
and by the way breath is always one of
the easiest and fastest ways to get out
of your head because as the saying goes
when you know your head is almost like a
kite and the breath is like the wind and
the wind your breath controls
your minds oftentimes when you're
stressed when you're angry when you're
frustrated we have a lighting you stop
breathing you limit it it's celebrating
so when you fully breathe in from your
diaphragm it's yourself back to the
moments so as you're taking a deep
breath just really feel your heart feel
the power of your heart feel the love of
your heart feel the strength of your
heart next time when you ask yourself
the question what is something I'm
really grateful for right now in this
moment what's something that I'm really
grateful for and just trust whatever
answer comes up don't overthink it don't
go back to your head just trust your
heart and your heart the truth of who
and what you are what are you really
grateful for so grateful for my life so
grateful for my heart
it's incredible force that beats a
hundred thousand times a day without me
even have to think about it I'm so
grateful for the love of my heart I'm so
grateful this incredible gift that's
been given to me that I never had to
earn as you have to ask where I have to
do anything it's been given to me and it
gives me this incredible gift of life
I'm so grateful for my environment the
city that I live in the apartment that I
live in I'm so grateful for my
girlfriend my love my soul I'm so
grateful for my friends my family so
grateful to my body my health my energy
my vibrancy so great were my mission in
my life my purpose so school in what I
am I get it enjoy and do it every single
day

now from this place of accessing your
heart your gratitude and this works by
the way you ask any question that you
want you can ask yourself you know
what's a positive or fun moment of my
life well you could ask what's a happy
moment what's something I'm happy about
what am i proud of what I love who I
care about my life whatever emotion that
will allow you to access more of the
positive emotion that you want it all
starts with asking yourself the question
and breathing and feeling it in your
heart and spend the dinner if you doing
that and from this place if you were to
take a measurement of your brain in your
heart they'll find that they're in sync
they're in rhythm there's a lot of
incredible health benefits that happen
from your immune system your blood
pressure just your overall hormonal
level of your body your biochemistry
when you access your heart more when you
feel it when you breathe it from this
place I ask myself the question I asked
myself what's the truth what's the truth
of my life what's the truth of the
situation was the truth of this moment
what's the truth of who and what I am if
I was going through stress or pain or
anxiety man my truth will just say you
know I everything always works out so my
heart says my heart says everything
always works out my heart says my truth
says the best is yet to come the truth
is is that I am loved the truth is that
I am unlimited the truth is I'm an
incredible force of energy in this
universe the truth is that I'm a gift
from God the truth is is that I'm guided
the truth is is that I'm unconditionally
loved the truth is is that this is who I
really am but what really ended this
gratitude this love this joy this
happiness
I'm not life circumstances I'm not what
other people say I'm not what any social
construct or ego or identity who I
really am at my core
this my spirit my full of gratitude and
peace since who I really am this is my
truth and this trust would ever answer
your heart dis you doesn't have to be
logical doesn't have to be rational
doesn't have to make sense let's trust
the truth is your heart of who you
really are there's no limits to it your
head your brain will always create
limitations they'll always create
stories so we'll always create excuses
it will always create lead to the fear
of anxiety distress but your heart is
unlimited your heart allows you to be
and do and experience whatever it is
that you desire so you can ask yourself
what should I do in this situation
what's a more efficient way to handle
the situation in my life you know some
responding to me in a negative way your
heart your head is going to want to
react with frustration and anger and
retaliation but you go to your heart and
you decide you know what my heart says
just to love my heart says just a smile
my heart says just relax my heart says
just to enjoy to have fun the heart says
that I'm blessed my heart says that life
is beautiful
and all you go to do when you're done
you've had that little conversation with
your heart you've asked it you asked a
bit the truth all you get to do is to
spank it feel it appreciate it and open
your eyes now as you can imagine
watching that or listening or
experiencing it first of all I'd love to
know did you do it did you experience
anything did you get yourself out of
your head into your body your heart and
I'm not sure if you can notice myself
but when I take myself out of my head I
feel it I breathe deeply man it's
incredible the emotions that I
experienced probably while the depth and
this how even right now I'm vibrating
I've got goosebumps I've just I feel
more aware I feel more alive in this
moment by a lot of myself to get up my
head and in my heart I'm not worried
about self-conscious or all these other
things that I think your head can obsess
over and so by doing this two minutes
you can ask yourself different questions
if you choose you can modify it if you
want you know I've kind of modified it
different emotions outlining experience
whether it's love close my breathe in my
heart of experience ask myself what I
love in my life who do what who I love
and I focus on that loving my heart
loving everybody loving myself loving my
creator and then ask myself what's the
truth the truth will always set you free
get to the truth man you can change
anything and that's really what this
allows you to do it allows you to access
your heart intelligence which has much
deeper answers than what your brain can
really allow because their brain always
has to have a reason for things it
doesn't allow you to just outface just a
trust right the unknown the brain is got
to know the science the evidence the
proof it's going to rationalize things
it's got to have all these ways to
justify as a reference point for
something was your heart can allow you
to experience regardless so I hope you
enjoyed this exercise I hope you
implement it to your life every day
create it add it to your morning ritual
you know for those of you that have been
through my morning ritual mastery course

proactive to set yourself up to win you
allow yourself to condition yourself

that by doing something every day I
believe your mind your body and your
spirit and this is something more for
your spirit to really nurture is beyond
the mind okay so if you've been a part

your ritual two minutes added for today
do it before you go to bed do it you
know any time you notice yourself having
tension in your body because anytime you
have tension guarantee you're in your
head anytime you have stress anxiety
guarantee you're in your head you're
either projecting something in the
future that's yet to happen or occur
some sort of you know horrible situation
that might go wrong or you're focusing
on the past but you're not in the
present the heart is what allows you to
be an experience in the present moment
if you're judging other people
criticizing them you're in your head I
guarantee it your heart will send them
love peace compassion empathy that's
what really your heart allows you to
experience in your life so think about
how you can implement this all
throughout your day what would happen in
your life if you live more from your
heart and less from your head if you
activated your heart more if you let
your heart lead you and guide you more
than your head I can guarantee that it
can be a lot happier and more enjoying
the process along the way but also
they'll lead you to a more fulfilling
life it will lead you to doing this
right it will lead you to creating the
life you really deserve and desire so I
