What's up, guys? Stefan here from project
lifemastery.com. In this video,
I'm going to share with you guys 3 core
beliefs that you need to have if you
want to be successful online in your
online business. Now, before I get into
these beliefs, I want to share with you guys a
really powerful story. It's actually a
story that I heard at Business Mastery
seminar in Las Vegas. It's a story of a
man by the name of Mel Fisher. I've
got here my computer because I want
to read it to you guys, but basically,
the story of Mel Fisher is that in
1985, July 1985, he found
galleon Nuestra Senora de Atocha,
hopefully I pronounced that correctly,
which is basically a treasure, a treasure
that was worth half-a-billion dollars.
Half-a-billion dollars this man found.
Here is the crazy part is that it
took him 16 years to find this
treasure. It's just such an amazing
story, because to spend 16 years of your
life sacrificing so much time, energy,
money, getting no return in exchange, not
even knowing whether or not the
treasure is even out there, everyone else
thinking that you're crazy. On this trip,
on this journey of trying to find this
treasure, he lost some of his friends,
his family members that died, and for him to
still go on to find it is a pretty
remarkable thing. Mel Fisher is a
really great role model for us, because
for someone to spend 16 years pursuing
something, 16 years going
after it and finally finding that treasure,
you have to have an extraordinary
mindset, an amazing psychology and
belief system. It turns out there is
3 core beliefs that Mel Fisher had
that allowed him to succeed and to find
this treasure. It turns out these 3
core beliefs are also the 3 core
beliefs that you need to have in order
to build a successful online business.
Let's go over what they are. The
first core belief that Mel Fisher had
and that you need to have as well is
that it's there.
Meaning, you have to
believe that the treasure is there.
He had to believe that there was a
treasure that was out there that's worth
a lot of money and that it exists, and
you got to have the confidence,
the certainty, and the faith that it's there.
It's the same thing with you and your
business. You got to have that belief that
it's there. The treasure is there in your
business whether that's publishing,
Amazon, a mobile app, blogging, affiliate
marketing, your own product service.
Whatever it is, whatever your business is
online or offline, you got to believe the
treasure is there. You got to believe in the
potential that it has that is going to
make you money. It's going to be your
success. It's going to create the
financial freedom that you want, or
whatever it is that you're after,
and whatever amount of money is the treasure
for you.
You got to believe it's there. If you
don't believe it's there, why even start
the journey? Obviously, if you
are in business, you have that belief
already. At least, you have some inkling
of belief with that. It might not be a
conviction to the point yet where you're going
to spend 16 years pursuing it, and that's
why you got to have the other two
beliefs as well.
The first belief is that it's there.
The second belief is that I will or I
must find it.
I will or I must find it. You could
believe the treasure is out there, but
you also got to believe that you will
find it.
They're not somebody else, but you will.
You can and you will, and you must. You got to
have that belief in yourself.
You got to have that faith.
You got to believe it's there. You got to
believe that you will and you must find
it. Then the third belief which
is very important, probably one of the most
important ones of all, you got to believe
that it's worth it.
You got to believe that it's worth it.
For Mel Fisher to spend 16
years of his life, could you imagine to go
after something, everyone thinks you're
crazy?
I mean for him to lose his friends and
family along the way, you got
to believe it's worth it. You got to
believe it's worth the sacrifice, the
hard work,
the hustle, the failure, everything you're
going to have to go through to get to where
you want to go, because it's inevitable
that you are going to go through failure,
that the path of success is not
like this.
The path of success is like this, and
you're going up and down. You're going all over
the place, and in adventure, you get to
where you want to be.
That's the path of success. In order
to go through that path, you got to
believe it's worth it. You got to believe
that it's going to be worth the several
years you might have to go through,
and in order to be successful in
your business, and make money online,
or create the freedom that you want. I
can tell you guys without a doubt, it is
worth it. I'm on the other side.
For me when I got into online business,
I discovered it, I think, through Tim
Ferriss, the 4 Hour Workweek, Passive
Income, and then T. Harv Eker, and The
Millionaire Mind Intensive, and Secrets
of the Millionaire Mind book, this whole
passive income thing that I discovered the
Internet can make passive income.
Then I discovered this whole
world of Internet marketing and all this
sort of stuff. I had those beliefs, man. I
had those beliefs that
it's possible. There's other people out
there who are making tons of money. I believed it.
I believed that I will and I must make
this happen. For me, there's no other
option.
What else is out there?
For me, making money online,
building my online business was the
ultimate career that you could have, because you
could basically
build an online business based on a
computer. You can travel anywhere in the
world. You're making passive income. You
get to do what you love,
not much can really compete with that.
The alternative was you go to
school or you get a job, where you have
an offline business. For me, that just
didn't excite me. The online world, I
knew this is it for me.
I got to make this happen.
There's no other alternative
that is an option for me in my lifetime.
I had those beliefs, but believing is
worth it.
For me, it took me years
when I got started. I didn't make money
right away
online. It took me many years of just
learning and trying different things and
dabbling, and being afraid to invest, and
being afraid, and fear, and all these
different things that were holding me
back before I was finally able to break
through and make money online. Those
3 beliefs carried me through it.
What always blows me away is when you
have people are coming to me,
they say, "Stef, I've been at my business now
for a month. I've been at my business now
for 2 months, or 3 months, or 6
months, and I'm still not successful.
I'm still not rich. I'm still not making
money online." I'm like, "Are you
kidding me?
Don't you realize that it takes
time to build a successful online
business. It takes hard work. It takes
sacrifice. It takes patience." Mel Fisher took
16 years. It took me years. Now, I'm not
saying that's going to be the case for
you. I'm not saying it's going to
take you 16 years to do it, but
it takes time. As long as you have
those beliefs, that's the most important
thing. It challenges a lot of
people that don't believe it's worth it.
Those people aren't yet ... They don't
realize the value of an online business
yet, because if you really understood the
power of online business and how
it changes everything in your life, like
for me because of my online business, I'm so
thankful for it because because of it,
it allows me to not only live a great life,
but have freedom. Time is a
depreciating asset. It's more valuable
than money, because you can make more
money; you can't get more time.
What it does in terms of the freedom
that you can have, and the ability to
travel, and the ability to whether spend time
with your kids, or go to the gym, or hang
out with friends, or not have to worry
about money, and being able to do what
you love
simultaneously. There's nothing else like it.
I mean
if you had a time machine, and I
could put you in the time machine, and take
you to your future, and just have
you experienced it just for a week,
the success in online business,
and then put you back in the time
machine and take you back to your nine
to five job, you would go back to your
job, and you'd go like, "O my God, I've
got to find a way." Once you get a
taste of it, there's no going back to a
nine to five job. One you get a taste of
the lifestyle and how it can really change
your life, you can't go back to
anything else. There's a lot of people
that haven't yet fully grasped the vision,
the potential that it can have, and how
can change your life yet. You got to
believe those three things, guys. It's
there.
The treasure is there. It's there in your
business without a doubt. It's there.
It exists on Amazon, in publishing, and
really to believe it's there, you just got to
say, "Are there other people out ther
that are making money?" If the answer is
yes, then it's there. If other people can
do it, you can do it as well. What one man can
do, another man can do. You can model or you
can learn from other people. If you model
their psychology, their mindset, which are
the belief systems as well as the
strategies, then you can also do it as well.
The truth is there's thousands of
people that are making a lot of money
publishing, thousands of people making
money on Amazon, thousands of people
making money as bloggers, on mobile apps,
all different ways online. It's there.
You got to believe it. Two, again, you
will find it. You will be successful. You
will make it happen, and beyond that
you must, it has to be a must for you. You got to
believe in yourself, and that is going to
be worth it.
Hopefully this belief system can
help you look at each of them.
It's there. I will, and it's worth it,
and ask yourself, "Is there one of them that's
missing for you, that you're
lacking ability to that belief that you
need to develop?" Maybe it's believing
that it's worth it more, or maybe believing that
you will or you must or that it exists,
and to work on those beliefs. I'd love to
