sleeeeep very important again a very
seemingly simple thing but there's a lot
that could be improved here so for me I
used to always think that I got my sleep
handled you know I sleep eight hours a
day
I'm good right seven eight sometimes
nine hours I'm getting more than enough
sleep I've got the area my life handled
it wasn't until I got this aura ring and
I started to track my sleep and what I
discovered it what I learned is that I
wasn't getting enough deep sleep so
there's different sleep cycles that you
go through when you're sleeping you go
through a deep sleep REM sleep which is
rapid eye movement sleep a lights and
also a light sleep and deep sleep is the
most restorative most beneficial phase
of sleep that's when you have the most
hormone production your body releases
growth hormone and testosterone and your
body restores itself the most and when I
got this or during here I was able to
deep sleep was really really low you
know according to this you want to have
up to two hours of deep sleep per night
and what I found is that some nights I'd
only get 10 minutes or 20 minutes or
even 30 minutes of deep sleep and you
know I started to notice you know why is
it that some days some nights I'll sleep
eight hours and I wake up and I'll feel
tired like how could that be how could I
be more tired you know after sleeping
eight hours waking up tired and then
other days I sleep eight hours and I'd
have energy and I feel just really
really pumped up for the day and just
feel really really good and I realize
it's not the length of my sleep what's
the quality of it so tracking it was
important but then I started getting
really deep into understanding sleep and
how I could really improve it so I could
bring up my deep sleep so I'll share
with you guys a few things that I've
learned and these are huge game changers
if you incorporate this to your day into
your life and again this is something
that you're gonna spend a third of your
life doing okay a third of your life
you're gonna spend sleeping so you
better make sure that you're optimizing
that at the highest possible level
because if you can it's gonna transform
your entire day or your entire life all
right now number one I'm gonna show you
guys a few things of
right here alright so first is these
glasses so these glasses are blue
blocking glasses and what I do is I wear
them in the evening time and what they
do is they block out the harmful lights
and rays that prevent my body from going
into from releasing melatonin and
falling asleep so I wear this in the
evening time this is great in you know
if you're using a phone or watching TV
or on a computer a few hours before bed
by wearing this in the evening times
it's gonna block that out and your body
is gonna go to sleep a lot better the
product here is called The Swan ease
actually a friend of mine James Swan
wake these are his glasses that he sells
but you can find other ones too I'll
probably provide a link below but really
important otherwise just avoiding
electronics before you go to bed because
that's gonna affect the quality of your
sleep okay so I recommend glasses like
this or just be careful with you law
electronics a few hours before bed next
is this thing here called the sleep
master sleep master is basically just a
sleep mask well this this one is coming
like a pillow for your face it's really
important to make sure that your room is
pitch black when you go to sleep okay no
light whatsoever in fact Arianna
Huffington from Huffington Post she
wrote a book called sleep revolution
whenever she goes to a hotel she brings
black tape and she tapes the the little
little red light that's on the alarm
clock and the light that's on the TV
just eliminating all light whatsoever
just so the room is pitch black I like
to use a sleep mask and I just put it
over my my face like this when I go to
bed its pitch black can't see anything
feels comfortable and it helps me have a
much higher quality sleep all these
things I've tested I've tested it you
know I've tested my deep sleep it makes
a huge huge difference so I recommend a
sleep mask either the sleep master or
I'm sure you can find them at the local
store but making sure that
pitchblack is going to make a difference
to your sleep another thing is that
often times people use their cell phone
as an alarm clock and they have it right
next to their bed I recommend making
sure you put your phone on airplane mode
okay put it on airplane mode will make a
huge difference you'll definitely sleep
a lot better very very important another
thing is I can go a lot deeper into this
one is the temperature that you sleep at
I actually have a device called the
chilly pad the chilly pad and what it is
is it's the sheet that goes on top of
your mattress and underneath their sheet
and it has a device that goes along with
it I actually have the dual one so I can
actually regulate the temperature of my
bed on each side so if you sleep with a
partner oftentimes they might want to
sleep at a different temperature than
you and so you each have a remote
control you can regulate the temperature
of your bed now this is important
because the temperature the asleep at is
gonna affect the quality of your deep
sleep so typically you want to sleep a
little bit of a colder temperature you
don't to be too warm or too hot while
you're sleeping and typically women
actually have to sleep at a lower
temperature than men so pretty
fascinating you know again these things
cost a little bit of money but for me
it's been worth it other than that you
can just make sure you're aware of your
temperature if you want to save the
money and I'm sure there's a lot of
things you can do there but I just want
to bring that to your attention and
share with you guys what I use the other
thing has also been was called pmf's
pulsed electromagnetic fields I actually
have a PMF mat that I lay on it has
magnets in it and it creates an
electrical magnetic field
nós nASA uses it for their space program
and the astronauts because when they
leave the earth they are away from
Earth's magnetic field because the
entire planet is surrounded by an
electromagnetic field there's a North
Pole and a South Pole like a magnet and
it has a lot of a lot effects on the
environment and our health overall so
you could study that a lot more but I
usually lay on that before going to bed
there's also a product called the earth
pulse earth pulse where you put them
under the bed
and it turns a whole bed into an
electromagnetic field
okay so again I'm going deep with this
stuff but these are the things that I
buy I test them oh they make a
difference in me and I'm here to share
share them with you guys and then of
course there's certain supplements
melatonin can be helpful if you have a
harder time going to sleep ideally you
want your body to naturally produce
melatonin but sometimes I'll use
melatonin as a supplement if I'm
jet-lagged and I need to you know get to
sleep a lot better or GABA can help your
quality of sleep which is also a
supplement and even CBD CBD which you
know it's becoming more popular now to
taking that before bed often times it's
a product use for more focus but that
can also be something that can help you
sleep better also as well
