hey guys so I've just been going through
some internet marketing stuff with jeff
walker and if you don't know who jeff
internet marketers out there he's the
founder of product launch formula which
is like a training teaching people how
to launch products in her business and
you know I came across like a really
good powerful segment that he was
teaching about creating a story in your
business and in your marketing and
especially when you're selling a product
you know stories I think it's important
understanding is that stories are one of
the most important ways to really
influence someone and even teach people
things as well because humanity that's
how people have always taught lessons
you know that's how like the tribe and
then you know the father would teach the
sun is through stories and usually when
someone tells a story the people that
are you know listening to the story to
go to a trance and oftentimes you don't
even know that you're learning something
are being influenced when you're
listening to a story and you know
stories are used marketing all the time
to look at like subway for example they
use like Jared the guy who like lost all
this weight by going on the subway diet
you know they basically used his story
and marketed that and you know that's
basically one thing that helped build
the subway brand so stories are key and
I think stories are very poor like I
said not just in your business not just
in your marketing and in your product
but even in your life you know what's
the story for your life he has seven
different themes here for stories i'm
gonna read them to you and i'll even
kind of relate to it a little bit myself
and kind of share my story I haven't
really consciously try to embed any
stories in any of my marketing or my
videos or anything like that it's kind
of naturally sure things uh but I kind
of fit into some of these categories of
these stories but again I haven't done
any of the stuff consciously but it's
really great the first one is the
reluctant hero okay the reluctant hero
is basically someone that didn't want to
do this but was dragged into it because
so many people wanted it now I can
relate to this this basically this is
what happened to me when I launched K
money mastery basically back in like
maybe 2010
might have started kindle publishing but
didn't get serious about it to like
2011-2012 i was doing kindle publishing
i had a lot of success with it online it
was great really changed my life in my
online business because my old online
business it was still around making
money but it kind of crumbled a little
bit to get took a bad hit by Google um
and basically you know I I started
having lost success with Kindle I was
developing a blog and YouTube channel
and stuff and you know a lot of people
that were following me on my blog back
in 2012 and 2013 were like hey Stefan
you know you know you share a little bit
about how you're making money online and
stuff and we see that you're traveling
or living this lifestyle you're going to
South America you went to Thailand it's
stuff like the Ender like you know what
are you doing you know can you teach me
how to make money online and I
originally started in 2012 as a life
coach on YouTube you know just did life
coaching but then that evolved where as
more and more people started hiring me
to learn how to make money online and so
I've done a number of stuff online
making money you know from creating
products kindle publishing affiliate
marketing all types of stuff and when
people would come to me and they didn't
have any experience with making money
online i was like okay well what's the
easiest way that I know to teach this
person to make money online and
basically it was just kindle publishing
right because you know to create a blog
to create a digital product it's
honestly really hard you know especially
for a newbie not a lot of newbies can
actually do that and pull it off you
know it took me years to be able to
create my first digital product and
learn all the logistics that are
involved in that so i just taught kindle
publishing because that was the easiest
and fastest way that I knew to get this
person that's paying me for coaching to
help them start making money online and
then I also had like my my family came
to me as well my sister my brother a lot
of my friends and stuff they wanted to
make money online so I shared with them
too but I was reluctant to do so because
I didn't really want to be known as the
kindle publishing guy like I started my
youtube channel one is still very much
like this being into self-development
and teaching self-development and life
coaching and that data is more of a
passion for me you know I enjoy talking
about that stuff it's more effortless
for me so I
reluctantly started teaching people
kindle publishing because I was kind of
dragged into it I had like so many
people asking me like how to make money
online how to do this I like even my
family my friends and stuff so I was
like you know what it's just going to be
easier for me just to create a course
that teaches the step-by-step then
happening it teach all these people
one-on-one and try to coach them and
stuff like that you know so that's how I
created K money mastery and I really
simplified the kindle publishing process
more than anyone else out there you know
no one else really was teaching kindle
publishing at the time i think there's
like one other person but they had like
a really really crappy like ebook course
on it or something that but they weren't
teaching what i was teaching about how
to find ghost writers and you know how
to outsource and leverage it and
bringing virtual assistants there's
nobody that was doing it to that level
so i'm i'm really proud of myself
because i'm the i'm kind of like the
pioneer and an innovator of you know the
model of K money mastery now however all
these people have kind of gone and
stolen it I've had people that have like
copied my course word for word and stuff
like that and you have to like shut them
down and stuff so there's a lot of
knockoff people out there that have kind
of taken would have developed and try to
sell it for themselves but anyways
that's the reluctant hero story so I can
relate to that can number two is the
loss and redemption story uh this is
basically you had something great but
you lost it and someone took it away
from you or you just lost it but you
came back better than ever people love
those kind of stories because they're
really inspirational and you know that's
kind of like the the rocky story in a
way you know it's like um you know or uh
oh you know what a great one is is the
count of monte cristo that's actually
one of my favorite movies if you haven't
seen it highly recommend it you know
where basically he got framed and set up
by his best friend and you know he ends
up going to a prison and like staying
there he's like really depressed
miserable but then he makes this
comeback like he had everything taken
away and he makes this incredible
comeback and you know ends up being
better off for it and but he wants to
get revenge and stuff like that too but
uh you know that's
unlike the loss and redemption story
which works really well also and you
know some of you guys might have that
kind of store in your life this is kinda
like the comeback third one is the
underdog story and this is when you're
kind of like fighting against a common
enemy and a good example of this is uh
uh you know like if you first sample you
market yourself it's like acid versus
them a great guy who did this was kevin
trudeau who's i think in prison right
now but he was a guy who was like an
infomercial guy and he sold a book
called natural curves they don't want it
they don't want you to know or they
don't want us to know about and it was
basically like he framed his whole
marketing angle of like us versus like
the evil pharmaceutical companies you
know the pharmaceutical companies don't
want you to know all these natural cures
and he went on to say there's a that
cure for cancer is a cure for this and
that but they don't want you to know it
because they're not going to make money
from you because they just want to make
money you know treating the symptoms and
not actually curing whatever it is that
people are suffering from so that's an
example of that or it could be like us
versus like the IRS or us versus a lot
you know lawyers Donald Trump is kind of
taken on this for you in running for
president where he's basically like I'm
a business person and these politicians
like we don't need politicians anymore
as politicians they all basically uh you
know succumb to these lobbyists and and
they can be bought and he's kind of
taking the angle of like it's us versus
like them in a way so that's basically
the underdog story and people love
fighting against a common enemy ah ok
number four is discovery this is kinda
like an origin story of how you got
started how you got to where you were I
kind of I have a lot of that too you
know sharing the discovery of how I
discovered all the stuff that I've
learned number five is a curation which
is basically you went off you studied
all the top gurus rid all the books etc
this is basically like the Napoleon
Hills story of thinking roerich right or
basically he went off and he went
studied the top you know most successful
people in the world
old and he extracted all their success
principles and put it together in a book
this is very much my story as well you
know I spent the last 10 11 years of my
life in the self development learning
discovering as much as i could going on
his journey is finding mentors coaches
investing myself you know learning as
much as i could and now i'm just
basically sharing all the stuff that
I've learned over the last 11 years that
have helped me get to where I am with
you guys on YouTube and two products and
services the next one is a number six
which is revenge that's kind of the
count of monte Krause Cristo story as
well when trying to get revenge but if
you're going to use that in marketing or
whatever then you need to make sure the
revenge is aligning with your
demographic and your customer the last
one is ascension which is basically like
the rags-to-riches story it's a personal
story about you you have something that
drives you don't want to make a change
and this is also my story as well I
share my rags to riches man I was broke
I was struggling I was depressed I was
shy I was a video game game guy who had
no life no girlfriend and you know 17
years old I changed my life and I've
been on this journey of self development
struggled failed failed failed more
struggle for many many years and finally
finally broke through started having
success hexer have a massive success and
now you know I'm driven to share what I
learned and be able to help other people
okay so that's basically the Ascension
story so those are the seven kind of
like uh you know formats of stories that
he has and I think it's really great you
know I think it's uh you know having a
story for your life and if you can
incorporate that into your business or
marketing then even more powerful
because I think people relate more to
stories then these like big corporations
you know that's why I think subway and
there's a number of other companies like
that have been able to pull it off
really well it's like if you have a big
corporation you got to find a way to
make it relatable to the average person
people can relate to Jared from Subway
right because people that are overweight
and stuff like that they can relate to
his story so stories are powerful
ah you know what's your story you know
what's the story in your business and
your marketing in your life and what do
you want your story to be you know what
do you want your story to be about that
might even be a more important question
because you know you can mold you know
your life you know you can you know
change whatever decision make certain
decisions that will send you in a
different direction and you know will
lead you down whatever path and you know
hopefully it's a story that inspires
people that benefits people and you know
shows people what's possible so so we'll
