hey guys Stephanie are from
projectlifemastery.com I just got back
from the traffic and conversion summit
in San Diego California had an awesome
time but this is a seminar that I
usually attend every year which is one
of the biggest online marketing seminars
a couple thousand people there a lot of
incredible speakers I've got a lot of
great friends that were there as well
and I want to share with you guys
I guess one of the core things that a
lesson I guess from the event that will
especially with your online business as
well now the event by the way is held by
Ryan dice and digital marketer they're a
big company and they basically they they
are in several different niches and
markets everything from makeup tutorials
calm to survival products the teaching
internet marketers internet marketing
strategies and one of the things that
they were talking about is they were
sharing their sales funnel and I've
mentioned this before I mentioned the
power of a sales funnel before in a
previous video blog but I really want to
emphasize it again in this video because
it was one of the it's always one of the
reoccurring things they always take away
every time I go to these seminars you
know they kind of share their sales
funnel with their businesses and
specifically I'll give an example of one
with their survival product now they own
a website called survival life.com and
it's geared towards people that I guess
want to learn how to survive if there's
like a crisis or survive in the
wilderness or whatever it might be but
what they do to get customers is they
give away a free credit card knife okay
a free credit card knife so it's
basically a credit card that I guess can
turn into a knife and they give it away
people just pay shipping and handling
for it and they give it away to people
and at first you might look at that and
say you know how are they making money
you know they're giving away a credit
card knife and it's costing them money
to manufacture and create that credit
card knife and it's also costing the
money to market and advertise it as well
well again the way that they make money
is on the back end
they've
they understand that by acquiring you as
a customer and by giving away to
something to you for free or
inexpensively
they've now acquired you as a customer
when you acquire someone as a customer
most of the battle that the the
challenging part of selling is done
because one of the things I love the
most is that we live in one of the
hardest times in history to get someone
to buy from you but we also live in the
easiest time to get someone to buy from
you again and again and again so once
you acquired a customer now it becomes a
lot easier for them to promote and sell
other products and services that they
have and that's exactly what they do
they use the credit card knife to get a
customer and then once they get you as a
customer now they're able to promote and
market more solutions add more value to
you products services or whatever it is
in fact they have a whole sales funnel
that if I were to show you it's just
massive you know you know you get the
credit card knife and then they promote
a product to you and then of course and
then a membership site and then this
service and that service and you know
then just more like more things down the
line and so they're willing to take a
loss or a break even usually it's a loss
on the front end because they know
they're gonna make up for it on the back
end okay he who acquires the most
customers in this day and age today wins
okay he who acquires the most customers
because the more people you have on your
email list the more customers that you
have is so much easier to again be able
to build a relationship with them and be
able to promote and sell even more to
them
now this concepts very important because
advertising is becoming more and more
expensive okay advertising online where
there's Facebook ads whatever might be
and it's harder now to be able to make a
profit on the front end and so that's
why a lot of marketers and businesses
focus more on the back end now how is
this applicable to you Kindle publishing
Amazon products whatever your business
is info products digital products you
need to make sure if you have a front
end okay Kindle books are selling for
three dollars four dollars
five dollars okay you're gonna make a
couple dollars per sale but again the
real money's on the back end the real
money is
you know once someone buys your Kindle
book they're a customer of yours they've
raised their hand if they've decided
that taking that leap of faith to buy
something from you there's a lot of
power in that you know there's a
majority people don't buy you know
people that even watch my YouTube videos
and stuff and follow my blog the
majority of people are kind of the
spectators the observers you know and
that's totally fun you know I'm a
spectator and observer with other
people's YouTube channels or other
businesses as well and so there's a
percentage of people they're always like
that you know this one observe and you
know receive free information and
everything but there's another
percentage of people that want more
right they want more they want to invest
more they want to you know know more
about me and and you know they have a
level of trust with me or a relationship
or you know they want more because they
relate to me or connect with me or
whatever it might be or they feel that I
can help them achieve their goals or
experience freedom financial freedom or
they see what I've been able to create
and they want to model me right so
there's a percentage of people that will
buy right that are kind ones that kind
of get off the fence you know get off
the the bench or whatever and they want
to play the game
and so those a certain percent of people
that will buy that people that you buy
are very valuable okay these are the
people they're gonna be your raving fans
your best customers people that you know
take action and everything and that
wants to have a great relationship with
you and instead of focusing on trying to
convince and sell and get all the other
people involved you want to focus more
on the people that have trusted you the
people that have raised their hand and
people that want to build a relationship
with you and it's your job as an
entrepreneur is to basically provide
solutions to people's problems that's
basically what you're doing as an
entrepreneur you're solving people's
problems at a profit right you want to
identify okay what is the challenge that
you're having and then here's a solution
for you that can help you address that
challenge okay and you provide a product
a service that's basically what business
is that's basically what everything an
app from Apple computers to Microsoft
and Google
to any of these businesses restaurants
clothing stores they're providing
solutions products and services for you
ok I like to look at it's just you're
adding value to the consumer okay and
you know again you want to once you
allow someone to experience as well they
buy something from you and they have a
positive buying experience
right they enjoy they get a lot of
benefit or value of what you provided
for them they're gonna want more they're
gonna want more because what they're
doing has worked for them and that's
what I've found even with Kindle
publishing people have invested in my
course which is awesome and they're
getting great results and they're like
wow this worked you know I bought this
course I applied it it worked I'm
getting great results now I want to take
it even further I want to make more
money I want to scale it up I want to
have more freedom I want to get into the
next passive income stream and so that's
your job as an entrepreneur is to
identify the challenges the problems
that needs the desires of your customers
and basically provide more for them all
right now
going back to Kindle publishing right
someone buys her a book a lot of people
that end it there and for me that's just
never made sense and I say this all the
time in my program cuz it drives me nuts
that the money is in the back end you
know once you have people that are
buying your book your product whatever
it is you want to think about how you
can get them on an email list how you
can build a relationship with them how
you can transition from you know
customer of your book now to Donner
email list once they're on an email list
you can build a relationship with them
you know if they buy a product for you
on on Kindle and it's on let's say
weight loss for example they buy that
from you they read your book well that
book might provide some great strategies
and tips and and stuff for them but a
lot of people you know they're not just
gonna read the book and all of a sudden
lose a hundred pounds or thirty pounds
or whatever it is some people want more
and so why not provide more for them why
not you know have them on your email
list and say them hey you know how is it
going so far you know have you applied
some of the stuff that I mentioned in
the book you know some people want a
video training so you know what we've
created a video training program or we
created a coaching program or you know
here's another great product that I want
to
with you and recommend to you that can
help you achieve your weight loss goals
faster and so you're essentially again
getting up on an email list and offering
them more building that relationship and
helping them achieve the goals that they
want and the great thing is as an
entrepreneur you get to make money in
the process as well and so you want to
think about not having you know you have
the front end but you want to think
about building a funnel you want to
think about multiple products multiple
services you know in my case of project
life mastery everything that I'm doing
right now my ultimate vision is to have
products and services in every area of
life you know I have got my K money
mastery program which is great but I
eventually want to start teaching
blogging and affiliate marketing and
info products and other ways that I've
been blessed and fortunate to discover
of how to make money online I want to
create different products and services
from that you know I want to create
health and fitness products I'm going to
create relationship products motivation
self-help products spiritual products
time management productivity anything
that's benefited my life I'm going to
share that with other people right I'm
going to create physical products and
supplements now by doing that I'm
building a brand I'm building a sales
funnel so you know what happens is
someone buys one thing from me and they
like me and I give them great value they
have a great buying experience then
they're likely to check out other stuff
that I have as well they're gonna say
you know what cool I might go stuff in
this health program or as productivity
program or is emotional mastery program
or whatever it might be happiness or
whatever right so that's the power of it
again you know you could take a loss on
the front end you know but it's the back
end in the funnel that you're gonna
build and that's how you always need to
think when you're building a business
think in terms a building a funnel
having a back-end even think about
having the backend in mind when you
create the front-end and I'm hoping that
you know this is just a powerful lesson
it's just always reinforced to me again
and again because when I look at these
big business businesses they're usually
taking a loss in the front and I know
you know amazon.com they take a loss on
their Kindle e-readers right they don't
make any money they lose my
every time they sell a Kindle e-reader
but they know the lifetime value of a
customer they know that if you buy the
Kindle and you have a great experience
then you're gonna buy all the Kindle
books that are on it probably for the
rest of your life right they know
they're eventually gonna make money from
you they just want to acquire more
customers they know that if you started
using Kindle you'll probably start
buying stuff on amazon.com as well right
so again they're willing to take a loss
and be able to scale up their business
in that way so really powerful concept
focus on getting more customers
acquiring more customers and building
out the back end sales funnel that's
what I'm doing in my business that's
what most smart entrepreneurs that I
know are doing as well was they're
really really successful and again you
can apply it to Kindle publishing or any
business that you're in you want to
think about the back end thank you so
