hopping in my car to go meet with my
media director and expert and we're
gonna drive out to Burnaby and we're
gonna do a little interview together
where he's gonna share with us why
social media is such a powerful
opportunity and a great career
opportunity for anyone that wants to
build an online business and make money
online so I'm excited to share this with
you guys gonna hop in the Corvette here

we're gonna drive and talk

all right so right now we're heading out
to Burnaby to meet with my buddy Matt
azkaban the social media director and
we're heading to his co-working space
called space craft which is you know
it's a co-working space for a lot of
internet marketers different
entrepreneurs they get together and they
work and it's a great place to go if you
want to be around other people and being
an empowering environment because
sometimes working home by yourself can
actually be a little bit challenging for
a lot of people so we're gonna head out
there we're gonna do an interview where
he's gonna be sharing with us about
social media marketing and the
opportunity that exists today on how
anyone can create their own social media
agency or be a freelancer and do social
media for other companies and make up to
$30,000 a month or more doing it Matt's
got a pretty amazing story he was
actually in $30,000 of credit card debt
and now he makes $30,000 a month exactly
as that as a social media director and
so I'm pretty excited it's an
opportunity and a business model that I
don't know too much about and I'm pretty
excited what he has to say about it and
just to give you guys some context I've
known Matt now probably for you know
eight or nine years in fact I knew Matt
back when we were both getting started
on internet marketing and building
online businesses and so he's been
involved in it probably longer than
myself and he has had a lot of successes
a lot of failures we're gonna talk a
little bit about that and Matt actually
runs the number one internet marketing
meetup group in the entire world it's
got over 6,000 members of it and he puts
on meetups every single month for
aspiring internet marketers to get
together connect and he brings in
different experts and whatnot to speak
at his event so I've actually spoken at
his event now twice and
and and they haven't got a great
relationship so I'm excited to share
with you guys a little bit about social
media marketing alright so right now
we're an elevator heading up to the
second floor to keep at us a fan and
spacecraft
pretty excited to show you guys the
environments and check it out myself
alright guys so right now we're outside
of spacecraft which is a co-working
space here in Burnaby and jump aside and
meet up with Madison
hey this is a spacecraft
yeah he has a co-working space uh you
know I used to work out of a coffee
shops and such that was like my thing
yeah it was 4years but you know I have
what start doing more video and more
graphic more good stuff like that you
need a good internet connection for sure
how that this is a great like why I
remember used to work at the way to
coffee and there's a they have the
stand-up situation - it was really good
because you have this demo that's great
I know I used to see you there yeah yeah
I'll show you around this place a bit so
this is just kind of around here this is
actually where we host all of our
meetups since yeah you know you spoke
here as well but there's actual stage
here we actually set up the chairs we
seal the the chairs from the hotel you
know to do our events here

but yes that's my my corner over here
everyone said that I got the prime real
estate and in this office here I got
lucky with it uh Hassan I just hired a
copywriter to come work with me yeah so
he's working a full time today he's at a
master line so he's not here today
different different businesses that come
in and work here okay ain't black duck
owns up like three of these private
offices yeah there's a couple needs I
don't know what these guys do yeah
are there certain offices that you can
write in yeah like you can get your own
yeah I personally didn't want a private
office because I like to have the fresh
air yeah I hope it's based kind of thing
yes I I think it's actually better to be
out here but to do the being there do
well yeah I can tell you as a
broadcaster necessary yeah cuz we're mad
does his webinars right yeah

this is the broadcaster's is where I
actually do all my my online trainings
it's excellent this is one of the main
benefits that make America coming here
because I can just sit right here
everything's already set up I've got the
camera on the wall the TV's on the wall
I just connect with HDMI port yeah and
like you're ready to go
blink downside years it's a little bit
dark for for doing it but one when
you're actually doing the webinar like
there's enough light on your face but
there's a you nestled so I brought an
actual another light that actually plug
in just to make the remove the writer
but yeah this has been excellent for
running all my online trainings to them
as you know you know that I do all my
courses are all like long webinars and
I'll be writing off we have a long
webinar so it's really comfortable to be
here versus at home or I just had a baby
you know you know yeah it may be
distractions and stuff so I so yeah so
how do you find the difference of
working at home versus to come to an
environment like this well before when I
used to work at home when I didn't have
a family it was okay but I found that
sometimes I would get into this habit of
like you know procrastination or I just
need a nap or go I guess I'm going to
eat or something like that and you know
obviously that might the big reason why
I started working here is because you
know I had a baby and I was like there's
no way I'm gonna stay at home and you
know I love playing with them right yeah
he's he's banging on the door
yeah exactly right so uh but yeah I've
been like super productive since I've
been working here my business is just
skyrocket it made a huge difference yeah
huge difference and it's been amazing
the people that are in here like them I
just hired my my accountants and my
bookkeepers through here oh wow I've had
my video guy networking and meeting yeah
just the people in the air you just go
and chat with them and they tell you
what they do and then you know I we sat
down for like thirty minutes I was
talking with Facebook Ads
and then we ended up having like a
three-hour meeting just talking about
marketing and taxes oh good stuff yeah
and then you know I heard that might be
do guy from here as well you just you
know I had a studio here and he's
working on some editing and I just
started chatting with him up with video
stuff I've heard copywriters that adhere
graphic designers so that's what's
really cool about it it's like now all
these people all these contractors that
I work with they're all in the office
one of my employees but I can just walk
and always to work on projects with them
so that's what you cannot use there are
people that work here are they internet
marketers or business owners or it can
do this there's a lot of online
businesses there's actually like them to
like tech startups and supplies that are
here but there's also just the people
that are just like you know business
consultants and business coaches you
know they just come in here just get
some work done and be able to focus
other people just rent space just so
they can use the boardrooms and they run
their workshops all of our art board
rooms are equipped with videos as well
so you could actually broadcast like a
30 person workshop and then there's a
camera on the wall you got your
broadcast that out to the whole lobby
wanted to you know just like over here
we've got a camera set up and stuff like
that so yeah they kind of set it up
kinda high-tech and the internet speed
here is extremely fast so I think it was
like 300 gigs Wow and foreigner down
someone like that is yeah so it's like
10 times faster than any speed you can
get it home yeah there's actually a
fiber-optic cable into this building
right gives us that internet speeds at
all yeah another reason together yes a
more productive wow it's awesome yeah I
might have to sign up here you know I
looked into a lot of Courtney's face it
was definitely best suited for someone
who's known all my assets are other ones
are great also for atmosphere and
community and stuff but in terms of like
internet speeds and like the tech inside
the room stuff like that this is
definitely the best one for that cool
yeah awesome well we're gonna sit down
and I'm gonna pick his brain on social
media strategies how to become a social
media director and the opportunity that
